I’m one of those that loved the old tempur-pedics. We have 6 mattresses (4 kids) of various models. Finally have to replace our 18 y/o CA king…looks like we’re going to buy the Luxe-adapt firm but I’m really worried it won’t hold up as well.

Yeah, it’s just such a bummer that tempurpedics aren’t what they used to be. Unfortunately, no better options so we bought a luxe adapt today. Fingers crossed

We love tempurpedics and have had great luck with them lasting well well beyond 10 years. Not sure about the new ones, time will tell. We just got the lux adapt in firm and it’s definitely rock hard on arrival. It’s getting better slowly

Ours is almost 20 years old and I’m starting to think it’s time to replace. We’ve really loved it to this point. I think the warranty was longer back when we bought this bed, 20-25 years

I agree. I would start with the pro adapt firm and also try the luxe adapt firm. Those are going to be the closest to the contour series. Start there.

I second tempurpedic. I have a luxeadapt firm with an adjustable base. So comfy!

I recently got a tempurpedic luxe adapt firm and it’s amazing. It was $5k for a king. I paired it with a tempurpedic pillow and I had a lot of neck and shoulder pain. I tried my husbands tempurpedic pillow and still had pain. Bought a third tempurpedic pillow and still no luck. Tried a Saatva topper and it was horrible. Tried a saatva pillow and ding ding ding! So my combo is the tempurpedic mattress with a saatva pillow.

You don't know until you try them. The Luxe Adapts are some of the most supportive mattresses on the market, even in the soft. The Luxe Adapt Firm might be most similar to the older style Tempurs. The Pro Adapt Firm is great for making people realize they don't actually want (or need) the firmest mattress available.

Thank you so much! We went to test them out and liked the feel of the luxeadapt firm but still want something with a little more responsiveness. We also know the store keeps the temp at like 75 degrees vs us who keeps the house at 69 so we know the mattresses will feel firmer at home which also makes trying to decide harder lol

Just to chime in here about Costco mattresses in general. I just got a Tempur-pedic firm from them and the delivery and overall experience was great. The mattress is well under $1000 less than the Temp store and the mattress is better. I had the Adapt firm and it was awful. Firm seems to be in vogue these days so personally I'd go with the newer Tight Top but naturally, that's your call. I also got a $300 gift card but that might be for Temp only, not sure.

I've owneed a tempurpedic adapt luxe for 8 years. It has the micro springs. I bought it after it was a showroom bed for a mere 1200 dollars. It was a sticker price 5500 bed. Could not be happier. Will likely still have it in 8 years.

Split King LuxeAdapt TempurPedic on Ergos! They wanted to be able to set their own heights and at first thought they needed different softnesses but after I figured their stuff out it was the best decision!

Ended up going to a “home show” today and took your advice. Ended up with a split king luxeadapt with a show model prosmart bases for $9500. Didnt price the luxeadapt in store. But the same set up with the breeze was over $15k in the showroom.
