We had a Beautyrest Black firm mattress was like 6k. It only last year and half then had the sink. I just got a tempurpedic pro adapt hybrid medium and already hate that I'm 6'3 235 pounds and also a side sleeper. I should have spent the money and got the lux version ugh definitely feel your pain.
Beautyrest warranty is a joke it's like 3in of sage with the worst warranty department ever. There's no way I'd even consider a soft mattress being I'm 230 the medium already to soft and I can feel the springs.
I have the Pro Adapt Medium Hybrid. Absolutely love it. It’s supportive, soft enough to accommodate side sleeping but not so soft that I can’t sleep on my back. Of course I’ve only had it about a month, but so far it is exactly what I was hoping to find.
I have 120 days to return it. They don't allow returns before 30 days so the customer has a chance to really break it in. I have the Tempurpedic Pro Adapt with a Breeze mattress cover. I don't have anymore neck and shoulder pain. I don't have to use as many pillows. I do get hot but I really can't blame it on the mattress. I'm in the "Pause" and the heat is sporadic. I don't have hip pain anymore. So far, so good.
I’d wage a war against anyone taking my tempurpedic from me. I got the proadapt hybrid and my only regret is not doing the luxadapt. My sister has an S&F highest line in firm and loves it though
In my experience, worth it. I have a serta iseries in my guest room that feels like prison (lad to add a latex topper). Owned a naturpedic latex mattress (expensive) and now a tempurpedic proadapt (expensive) and I sleep like a baby. My only regret is not doing the more expensive luxadapt for the extra pressure relief
I truly feel your pain! I had spine surgery in Nov., and the mattress we had (until last night) had me in pain in every position for 2+ years! I finally convinced my husband that, for my health, we had to get rid of it. So I did a 2week deep dive on Consumer Reports, Reddit, looked at so many YT video reviews etc. We went to 4 stores and tried out many mattresses as well. We bought the Tempur-Pedic Proadapt medium hybrid. First sleep last night — zero pain in any position!! I woke up without back pain for the first time in YEARS!! Mind you, my surgery went well, but I also have OA. Also purchased the Saatva adjustable base plus, but I didn’t sleep in the ZG position last night even tho I thought I would. I had a Tempur-Pedic from 2011-2023 (when I moved in w my then-fiancé). Oh, how I missed it. It costs A LOT, but it’s worth every penny!!!

We received delivery of our Proadapt medium hybrid yesterday, and I slept and awoke PAIN FREE for the first time in \~3 years!! I had back surgery in Nov., which went well, but every night was painful in any position and I would always wake with a sore back. This was life-changing!! I used to have (years ago) the firmest TP, and I know it would be too firm for me now. I am 5’10”, 142 pounds, and love to sleep on my side — and back and stomach. Also got the Saatva adjustable base plus, which is fantastic too. I didn’t sleep in ZG last night as I thought I would.

Bought a Nolah Signature for my big truck sleeper a few years ago and loved it, so comfy. Thought I would buy one for the wife and I a couple of years later and since I thought I already knew how good the mattress was I saved $100 and declined the 100 night trial, huge mistake. That was the hardest and most uncomfortable thing I've slept on in my entire life. I can only imagine like most companies these days decided to cheap out or change the materials used to increase profits and screw the consumer. Gave it away a year later because we coudn't take it anymore.
Currently sleeping on a king size Tempurpedic ProAdapt Medium Hybrid and that is finally the most comfortable bed I have slept on after it broke in some. I hope it holds up and lasts considering the price tag.
