We had a Beautyrest Black firm mattress was like 6k. It only last year and half then had the sink. I just got a tempurpedic pro adapt hybrid medium and already hate that I'm 6'3 235 pounds and also a side sleeper. I should have spent the money and got the lux version ugh definitely feel your pain.
Beautyrest warranty is a joke it's like 3in of sage with the worst warranty department ever. There's no way I'd even consider a soft mattress being I'm 230 the medium already to soft and I can feel the springs.
Hello, I work at Mattress Firm, I'm at work right now. I see you want to stay at $3000, which should get you something decent. Also, the Tempurpedic Mattress at Costco is basically the Tempur Adapt Mattress we sell, which is the beginning of the line for Tempurpedic. They get much better by just moving to the next step up, the Tempur Pro Adapt mattress. I have been going through some trial and error myself over the last year, dealing with similar pain. I have both the Tempur Pro Adapt Medium Hybrid and Luxe Adapt Medium Hybrid (I have a Split King Bed). They both have been great for the last year, I no longer wake up in pain, but all of a sudden, I'm having trouble getting comfortable and staying asleep (I still wake up pain free but getting to sleep is the problem, it's mostly stress) so out of desperation I bought an $1500 Plush Pillow Top Mattress, thinking I should be able to fall asleep easier. I just got it Thursday, and I get comfortable and fall asleep immediately, but now I wake up in a lot of pain, so I'm going back to my Tempurpedic until I can afford something else that is better then that $1500 Mattress or fix my stress. My point is I just discovered that maybe a good bed makes a difference, and Tempurpedic might actually be worth it and not just overhyped and overpriced. There are other options besides Tempurpedic that fit your budget and should do wonders. The mattress I really want to try myself is the Sealy Posturpedic High Point Hybrids (these are at ever Mattress Firm location to try). I want the soft, but there is a medium, too. I lay on them all day when customers aren't in the store. These are the next best thing to a Tempurpedic in my opinion. I sell a lot of these to people who don't want to spend Tempurpedic prices or hate how Tempurpedic feels. I don't know if it's allowed, but if you want I can give you the City and State for my Mattress Firm, you can Google the store number and call me here. I can help you with any questions and I'll give you some discounts to make it worth it. You also will get the 120 Night Trial still, so 4 months to try the mattress.
I have the Pro Adapt Medium Hybrid. Absolutely love it. It’s supportive, soft enough to accommodate side sleeping but not so soft that I can’t sleep on my back. Of course I’ve only had it about a month, but so far it is exactly what I was hoping to find.
Just bought a tempurpedic supreme medium hybrid. So far so good. Have had only less than a week. Really liked the pro adapt medium hybrid in MF so it was a no brainer to try the Costco tempur given the return policy. Good Luck!
Not sure what your budget is but we have the tempurpedic medium hybrid from Costco and love it. We’ve had it since late August. I had horrible back issues from an old mattress and this one has been great. Good luck on your search. We went to mattress firm and tried different mattresses and read a ton on Reddit to try to find the most similar models to try out since Costco doesn’t have displays.
I have 120 days to return it. They don't allow returns before 30 days so the customer has a chance to really break it in. I have the Tempurpedic Pro Adapt with a Breeze mattress cover. I don't have anymore neck and shoulder pain. I don't have to use as many pillows. I do get hot but I really can't blame it on the mattress. I'm in the "Pause" and the heat is sporadic. I don't have hip pain anymore. So far, so good.
Same. I don’t have back and neck pain when I get up!
It took me 3 years to decide on a mattress. There is nothing like physically going to the store and trying out the mattress in person for yourself. Me and my husband laid on them, rolled over, sat on them abruptly, he moved around a lot so I can see if I can feel his movements, etc. We end up going with a Tempur-pedic adapt hybrid medium. Yes expensive. But knowing it’s made with good materials and has been around for many years is an assurance. We will gladly make payments on something that is a benefit to our health and well being. Tempur does make a plush that you might like. The cooling covers make a huge difference and I use percal sheets that stay cool. Makes a world of difference. I did find Nectar to be close to Tempur-pedic and softer. Price is much cheaper as well. Good luck!
We got the Pro Adapt Hybrid 2.0 Medium. The first couple weeks you question everything about your decision and your whole ability to even be able to choose a mattress. I have to say we made a fantastic choice. It truly is an investment in your health and well being. We invested in our last mattress and it lasted quite a long time. It definitely pays for itself.
