I bought a Nod by Tuft & Needle from Amazon 5 years ago. It's by far the best mattress I've ever had. It's memory foam but it's not super squishy. It's medium soft. Movement doesn't transfer. I'm a side sleeper, sometimes stomach and an ex bought one because mine was so comfortable. ETA it doesn't trap heat but it's an online order so you can't test it. It's still going strong.
Thank you so much for posting this. I have sciatica issue and currently sleep on a memory foam mattress from turf and needle. I went on vacation to italy and the bed was a simmons cares mattress. My back stopped hurting and actually did not hurt for the first 5 days after I returned home. Now I have been home for 2 weeks and my back is in so much pain. It never dawned on me that the bed could be causing my back pain. The bed is manufactured in italy but I hope that there is a similar one available in the US. Any suggestions for a similar mattress?
Sleep innovations foam mattresses on Amazon are like $300 for a queen and $600 for a king and are the best mattresses I’ve used other than a tempurpedic. We just returned $1100 tuft and needle foam mattress on Amazon to get the sleep innovations king and I just had my first full nights of rest in months after getting the new one. It’s a bit firm but it’s a good firm and it keeps you cool as well just need to make sure you get a cooling waterproof stain protector as well.
Is the cooling gel effective or is it a gimmick? I sleep so damn hot, currently on a Tuft and Needle foam mattress that’s 5 years old and is feeling kind of worn. May get a new mattress soon ish
We’ve had a king size Leesa (Classic, I think) for seven years and it’s maybe the best mattress I’ve ever had. I think we paid $1200. We also have a king Tuft and Needle from Amazon for about $600. It’s been good, albeit on the firm side so we put a 2” gel pad and it’s really nice. We have had mattresses from Puffy (not bad) and IKEA (way too firm). All of these are bed-in-a-box type mattresses.
Get a solid wood or steel platform frame and spend your money on a good midrange mattress (Costco, Sleep On Latex, Purple, Casper, Tuft & Needle) and a latex mattress topper if needed. I would estimate $200 frame, $500-$1000 mattress, $150 topper.
tuft and needle is fine for the price but nothing special
stay away from Purple. They have a powder in the mattress eggshell thing that some consumers dont like. I have a mattress from tuft and needle that I bought over a decade ago 750 for a king. They sold to a larger mattress maker so I have no idea current quality is. Im 215, sleep all over the bed but generally side sleeper
Do you have any input on Tuft and Needle? Ive had a king size mattress from them for about 4 years now and no complaints so far. Just wondered if you had any pros and cons
LOVE our Tuft and Needle. 7 years in.
