I have a Vispring zip and link Superking. It’s now around 7 years old and still in perfect nick and the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. It was fecking expensive though.
Go for the 100k Hastens if you're serious about the no limit thing. Nice mattress no doubt I was impressed with the demo I had of the product and all the amazing steps they underwent to build a quality product.
I even liked a 10k Vispring more than the high end horse hair Hastens model in the same store. They both had tufting which although a luxury feature and yes it is amazing for life span of a product it detracted from my comfort.
Personally I do not like tufting and love a flat feel to my mattress line I have manufactured for 19 years. We also prefer to have a zipper on our mattress line to keep options open long term.
I will make you a spring mattress that won't kill your shoulders and hold up extremely well long term and is a homegrown Luxury Brand.
Our top of the line innerspring mattress is the Enlightenment Hybrid. It uses a American made eight inch pocketed coil innerspring with five inches of all- natural latex. The cover is a true high end organic cotton fabric (no polyester backing!) with wool batting and has two zippers on this Euro top style cover. Multiple firmness choices for the spring and the latex.

No. I know the difference between tufting and quilting. At any rate, there are manufacturers that will give you decorative tufts with rosettes and everything. Regardless. I think we’re effectively saying the same thing and getting hung up on semantics. I think we’re effectively agreeing that we’re not counting that in your list.
That said…my Vispring is hand tufted. You can add that to your list.
Not everyone likes pocket spring mattresses because they don't mold around you. Kudos for getting down to the shop though. Picadilly has the Vispring flagship store for next time. We have two in the house, a firm, and a medium. It's like sleeping in a cloud. I love them. Went for mid range super king and king with divans. Had one for 10 years and it's absolutely perfect. The other 3 years and so comfy.
A topper really brings it all together. You don't need one, but it just makes it even better.

There is a lot of personal preference, but here’s mine—
Never memory foam, make me handicapped, sink in, can’t move bullshit.
Latex is a massive step up— sink onto, not into.
Aerloom’s higher end beds have micro coils (lots of support) with latex on top.
Step up from that— Kluft. Same company, supposedly better product.
Aerloom made my back feel 90% better than the very pricey online bed in a box bullshit I had purchased a few years prior.
Next step up Vispring. No foam. Springs, cotton, wool, horse hair (if you’re fancy). Feels like an 80s bed, but in a good way. Back pain gone.
There is a NY company that makes handmade beds like Vispring, but way less expensive. Didn’t buy because I couldn’t try them out in California. Might be a great mid price option. Google will find them for you.
Remember lots of margin in mattresses. Ignore their “xyz” sale and ask for no less than 33% off .
