I bought a Queen sized Zinus green tea hybrid off Amazon for about $300 I love love love it. I never want to get out of bed. Bought after reading reviews on here. Not disappointed. Make sure Amazon is the seller not third party so you don’t get a fake one.
I think I sat in it for 4 hours before bedtime when I first got it and refused to move. I put it on a platform sturdy metal frame - so I’ve got 14 inches below the bed space - got the frame on FB for $30 - and it was bliss. My old bed was low to the ground futon horrible horrible - I love that this mattress is firm with just enough give.
I have the same one and really love it.
I have a Zinus hybrid spring mattress and I find it very comfortable. They are also not super expensive and you can buy online. I had a foam one prior to this and it was also ok but changed in texture in the spot I slept more often.
I bought a 12” Zinus Green Tea queen mattress in May of 2017 and it’s still like brand new! I love it today as much as when it arrived! No deformities or weakening over the years and in 2020 I bought 2 more for my granddaughters. They love theirs as well have experienced no problems. Best mattresses we’ve ever owned!
I bought a Zinus for my guest room years ago and it’s great! Even my elderly parents like it when they visit. Get the 12inch one, it’s worth the small up charge over the thinner models.
I have a 7 year old Zinus 12 inch and it's still great. I just got 8 inch, I think, for my kids beds. Theirs are super comfy as well but it's only been a couple of months so I'm unsure about longevity.
I’ve had a Zinus cooling mattress for going on 4 years now and I love it! I don’t overheat, it doesn’t sag, it’s supportive, and it costs around $300
FWIW, I recently stayed in an Airbnb and slept on a Zinus mattress from 2018. Best night of sleep I’ve ever had, woke up with Zero aches or pains. Primarily a Side Sleeper with occasional stomach. I currently have an Amerisleep AS5 and while it’s held up great it’s too plush to provide the necessary back support I need. Prior to that I ordered a Casper which was unbearable and returned after 3 days. I went down a rabbit hole, multiple reviews and the reality is that everyone is different and therefore will have different results between mattresses. It’s honestly overwhelming, not in a good way, in the amount of companies and products out there. I decided it’s best to order something I had a great experience with. As someone wrote on this sub it’s worthwhile to consider a cheaper mattress, replacing it often than an expensive one which might be a gamble. I’ve also considered Costco for the return policy but saw that there are multiple negative reviews for all their products. I would say the best way is to try the mattress out as even if for a short while at a store, before blindly ordering one online.
Way too hard - like sleeping on the floor
Once in my life I spent a huge sum of money on an Ortho mattress for my wife and I. Decent mattress, lasted pretty well except it was a single pillow top so we couldn't flip it but we did rotate it frequently. Fast forward to 2012 when I purchased my first memory foam mattress for the RV I was living in from Amazon. It was amazing! I hadn't slept so well in so many years. I've since bought 4 more, 2 in twin size for my son's room and 2 queens for me. It's time for a new mattress for the new house. Can I do better in terms of value/performance than the Zinus Green Tea mattresses I've purchased? Edit: I really do know how to spell Amazon.
