Can you run an Ethernet backhaul to each floor? I have 6+ On 3 floors with backhaul. Very fast.

Amazon has the Eero 6+ at Black Friday prices now. I got the 3 pack for $195 a week ago at an early bird rate, which is same as today’s Black Friday price. I have a 2 story 2500 sq ft house and it does as advertised. It took care of every WiFi reach problem I had. I was in my neighbors garage across the street and still had a full signal on my phone!

Eero 6+ or eero pro 7 if higher budget super easy for average consumer

I'm using the eeroesh system. I have the eero 6+. There's newer versions now, and noticed multiple subnets. You can just buy one and setup a new one as an extender with no issue, or buy one with a network jack and use it as a wired extender. I don't have the eero 6 pro,but I still get nearly 959 or greater for download and 850+ for upload speeds on a 1gb line. On wifie purely it's in the 700 to 800 range. I am a computer person, I understand networking, I'm a solutions architect and know how to troubleshoot so many random things. The EERO system has been insanely easy to setup and has been crazy reliable. Have had eero since 2022 and haven't had a single failure

You gotta pay to play... A cheap extender may provide some relief but they don't work well over time. Save some cash and buy eero 6+. Nearly plug & play. Use at least 2 of them, one to act as the router for the house, the other to extend it. They work well and are worth it. Google how to set it up and how to find the best placement.

I use Eero, it's been an excellent mesh solution. Very reliable, easy to setup, easy to add nodes and manage the network. Personally, I can't recommend anything but Eero

Go with eero, period. Super easy and reliable. I run 4 nodes and I haven't had a single problem with them.

Eero+ works great for me

I had an eero6+ mesh system in 2200 sq ft ranch style house. Worked pretty well until a bad firmware update. They blamed interference instead of admitting software issue. Hung in and it took many releases until they fixed it. Fast forward until last September and they had another bad image. I ordered and installed Asus Zenwifi ET9 2 pack for different 2200 square ft house. Had a few issues, but it has logs I can read to find issues. In the 5 months I have had it, they have had one firmware update and it has been pretty stable. I have had a couple of issues, but I have also had a flaky underground power cable into my house which has now been replaced. Several of the issues that I blamed on wireless issue disappeared when I had the house power cable replaced. Granted most people will not have that issue, but if having issues, must open mind up and look at whole situation. One thing that I believe people mis. Is that wireless backhaul is susceptible to the same issues and the wireless signal to devices. I.e. walls, metal, interference, etc. wired backhaul always preferable and I will install wired backhaul in a couple of months.

Eero 6+ or newer (size it to your internet speed from the carrier). Eeros are simple and easy to use. They are not designed for tinkerers. If you want a router you can tweak, buy something different.

While this is a useful list, it does not compare each model to the speed of the internet connection. And it is misleading to consumers, assuming that is who you targeted it to, by posting on Reddit. This list is very biased to Wi-Fi standards and not the needs of individuals buying a router/mesh for their home. While carriers are offering faster and faster speeds, not everyone needs it! The vast majority of homes only need the slowest high-speed, but carriers are happy to push higher speeds to people who clearly do not need it! I manage Wi-Fi at 5 homes, including friends and family. In my personal home, I run a network supporting 2 living units, 6 bedrooms, multiple streaming TVs, up to 12 people at a given time, lots of Wi-Fi attached devices. And all of that works fine on a 3-node Eero 6+ with 400MB service. Since 6+ is good to 1GB service, it is more than fine for this network. Cost $300 for 3-nodes 7 Max is $1700 for 3-nodes! Pro is $700. Neither of those are affordable to most people.

Did eero max 7 get released recently? The reason I am ask is because I have eero 6+ and my connection has been AWFUL as of lately
