"My Portal now connects and works amazing. Fast connection, zero lag."
"I have having a nightmare with my networked PC's, some plugged into the ISP router and some on the wifi. They weren't showing up under worked PC's in windows and once i switched the Deco's to AccessPt Mode... everything fixed. I can connect to either the Deco AP mesh, or directly to the ISP router and all pc's can now see each other!"
"I did that and my Google home has never had a disconnect since."

"3 units in our new 2900 sqft house and we're covered all over the backyard and out to the street"
"I myself have a deco and we have four modules through a long rambly ranch house and we have nearly 300 MB per second everywhere because we have about 1 GB per second fiber to the house."
"I was able to cover a 3 level house using two units (one of the ground floor and second mounted near the roof of second floor near the stairs. This covers all 3 floors completely."

"TPLink Decco is a damn good mesh system and and much cheaper. ... $169 for my 3 Decco System."
"WiFi 7 models are still very expensive but few devices are compatible at the moment so for me WiFi 6 is the best option for the money."
"you can pick up a 3-pack for cheap, solid units"

"tplink just works ... I follow up with my customers each month and they say everything is much better and working great. I only hardwire nodes, never wireless, and I buy the wifi6e versions- I’m not saying tplink is better than Unifi, just saying a hardwired network and wifi where you need it is the recipe."
"I noticed a BIG improvement once i conected all my decos via ethernet. ... I hate cables but it was a game changer, i use smart products from different brands and now i don't have any issues with disconections!! ... Some meross plugs disconected all the time before wiring my decos, now they work flawless!"
"I have tp link Delco each has ethernet back haul works great."

"rubbish app that won't let you change settings 9 times out of 10"
"frequently fails to deliver advertised features or function reliably"
"The tplink’s I bought say they support mesh but once setup as a mesh they lose features. ... So the mesh isn’t worth using. ... The mesh setup is a half baked. You can’t use all the wifi features when setup as a mesh."

Been using TP LINK X20 Mesh Rounders for 1000+ days Absolutely zero issues so far. https://preview.redd.it/w4yua9dkmtcf1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=0b8781e3a21f2ab0ca139d588dbd8e55d445a9af You need to take care of few things. Plugin the master node to a UPS. That thing is very power sensitive. I use a master switch that runs CAT 6 cables to almost every place I want internet (either via the false ceiling or other wires). This ensures there's minimal signal loss even with 7-10 inch thick walls. Let me know if you have any questions.
Yes. Depending on your place, you could get away with using one high power node. I have been using X20 only as they can handle all the online traffic as well as the local traffic bandwidth for media servers and file transfers. What's your house outlay like?
Depending on your budget, 3 tplink x20s or x55s should cover you. Hook 1 into your modem, and then you can simply plug them into an outlet and add them to your network. I wouldn't get anything that says "extender" and I see no reason for a "traditional" router anymore. I spent a bunch of money on one of the most "powerful" routers out there a few years ago in our 4000 sqft house and it was worthless. Discovered tplink mesh units and see no reason to change. 3 units in our new 2900 sqft house and we're covered all over the backyard and out to the street
Get a 2 pack of the tplink x20. 109 new , 79 used on Amazon. If you don't like it send it back
Installed 2 x20 units in my neighbors 4000sqft+ house and she is fully covered past the garage 2 floors. Gets over 400mbs at the opposite side of the house. That's plenty for 99% of people. And it's simple to setup and in 8 years I've seen almost 0 issues. $110 on Amazon for the 2 pack. I use a common sense approach to setting up people's homes, but yeah if they're one of the less than 1% of homeowners that need a port with full bandwidth and 5ms ping in every room you're going to pay more and look at other options, but it's bad advice to tell everyone you need to hardwire your house.
Lose the router. 2 mesh units and done. I installed the x20s at my neighbors and 2 units cover her 4k sqft 2 story. 2 pack is 120. Super easy to setup.
Go for tplink deco mesh... lose the traditional router. Decos are simple to setup and work great. Always try wireless backhaul first, most of the time it's enough, regardless of how everyone on reddit wants to spend 1000s$ hardwiring your house. Need info on your house size and stories etc
Mesh over new router all day. I tried 3 different very expensive routers a few years back and then tried tplink deco mesh system and would never go back. 2 units cover our 2900sqft 2 story completely.
Mesh system - one profile setting for the entire network. Overall better signal quality as well. If it's just a single level/storey, property, you'll need at least two. One parent mesh connected to the router and another mesh in the middle of the property. Take note of your internet speed and due diligence in researching the best model since some mesh systems cap off at 100mbps. Personal setup is 5 pieces of TP link Deco X20 (wifi 6) for a 370 sqm two-storey property. Connection speed for subscription is 400 maps.
I'd avoid the eero pro 6E/ netgear nighthawk RAX70. These routers are overpriced and expensive junk that do not deliver on their promises. I can't believe my $50 TP-Link AX1800 far exceeded both of these routers in terms of stability and performance. Eero and netgear gave me constant dropouts in WiFi signals. Save yourself the expensive regret and just avoid eero/ netgear as a whole, and stick to TP-Link/ other reliable manufacturers. Even a used TP-Link older model will be better for your household.

Pakai 2 node Deco X20. Harga total 1.8 jutaan kayaknya sekarang. Setup: Modem Biznet—[cat6cable]—node mesh pertama.
I'm using a TP-Link AX-1800 with a single mesh extender in my garage, all on a gigabit fiber connection. No problems with my cameras.
Same, I use 3 x20, with one wireless back haul. That thing is impressive.
I bought a set of three x20s from MyT but without the subscription but I am quite startled that the installation is limited to something you could do yourself given the monthly fee. I installed mine myself and wired them all with ethernet resulting in a homogeneous bandwidth in any node with no latency impact. Some times back My.T announced FTTR (Fiber to the room) for optical backhaul but it seems to have been abandoned.
Just added the BE63 last night. So far so good. I have W3600s and X20s working with it. Started w 3600s, large house so I added x20s. No reason but I felt like upgrading the main unit. Wifi near main unit from 300Mbs on wifi5 to 800Mbps on wifi 6. Ping has been solid. I have an ethernet cable plugged into a satellite that goes to my ps5. I'm competitive online. No complaints. The Nintendo Switch ping drastically dropped too (not hardwired).
Same I use two X20 units to cover both my floors. And recently I also added a cat6 cable to connect both of them so no packet loss between em
