"Unifi provide the most stable wifi network for IoT of all the AP on the market, even with one VLAN, even in mesh configuration. ... I have +200 IoT devices in my home from Apple, Switchbot, Aqara, Logitech, Eufy, Hue, Govee, and numerous exotic brands. I have been through hell with solutions from Apple, Orbi, Peplink, Meraki, Eero, Huawei and many many more. And only since I am rocking on Unifi I can open my Apple Home app with not a single device error !"
"I have over 60 devices connected to it, and have ZERO issues."
"Finally, nothing drops, everything is fast and solid, the devices themselves are now the bottleneck."

"Worked flawlessly from setup and haven’t had to tweak the system at all."
"I have setup three Eero mesh systems for family members. They are super easy to setup and maintain. ... It has been set it and forget it for over three years now. These are installed in houses with users who are 65+."
"My mom actually installed it herself with no problem. ... If you’re not familiar with networking it’s great system."

"with a big house we always had issues with coverage before that's non-existent now"
"Actually better than a range extender, as Mesh systems are designed from the ground up to work with each other in the system. ... But it's half ass "patched up" jerky jerky mesh was no match to a Deco. Deco was snappier, more reliable, and longer range."
"The coverage is excellent. I have a 2 storey 175sqm house and it covers almost everything."

"What I've most recently is use it to provide connectivity to my spouse's festival booth. ... Open wifi signal showing 1 bar that would never actually give me an IP on my phone, and the Slate grabbed it, and gave me a steady/fast signal that covered me all the way across the festival grounds to the food trucks."
"it stays connected a long way away ... I had it set up in my 4th floor hotel room in Jamaica and was still connected at the pool outside"
"Agree 1000%. I use the same router to work in my van outside of work. Was a game changer in getting legit speeds but also maintaining a stable connection."

"2000sq ft split level, but I got it with 3 bases and particularly for the Ethernet back haul as I have one unit in a shed about 75 ft from my house that I ran Ethernet to. (Shed is a converted game space for tabletop gaming)."
"I noticed a BIG improvement once i conected all my decos via ethernet. ... I hate cables but it was a game changer, i use smart products from different brands and now i don't have any issues with disconections!! ... Some meross plugs disconected all the time before wiring my decos, now they work flawless!"
"tplink just works ... I follow up with my customers each month and they say everything is much better and working great. I only hardwire nodes, never wireless, and I buy the wifi6e versions- I’m not saying tplink is better than Unifi, just saying a hardwired network and wifi where you need it is the recipe."

"throughput just randomly drops to 1kbps"
"it would not go beyond 1200 mbps on a 2gig network, literally standing 0.1 ft away from the access point."
"Constant disconnects."

"I had a Netgear Nighthawk router that ended up getting a bug in it after a firmware upgrade. ... The bug didn't allow me to filter by MAC address. ... I had to end up actually editing the HTML of the router page to get it to work. ... It was a known issue on Netgear's website for years, but they never fixed it."
"frequently fails to deliver advertised features or function reliably"
"rubbish app that won't let you change settings 9 times out of 10"

"random disconnects that made me want to pull my hair out"
"However, even after a firmware upgrade it kept losing connection. Sometimes up to six times per day."
"No matter how I configure them, I constantly lose Wi-Fi connection. ... On my iPhone, the signal bars jump from 1 to 4 and back again and I’m sitting in the near of the GT190000BE."

"throughput just randomly drops to 1kbps"
"Before holiday I was full wired backhaul and most fancy stuff turned off but still I was facing issues. ... The firmware resulted in worse reliability. Family switched to cellular and hot spotting."
"It’s a good system…..until your modem looses internet and the whole LAN side of your network stops functioning. ... When the internet goes down, Deco gets confused and the general response is that the LAN also goes down until internet is restored."

"Only reason I ditched it was subscription for parental controls."
"I dislike the Deco's forced online login and management via a phone app only"
Agree, Deco mesh is very good, took a bit of adjusting in my flat - the walls seemed to be lined with lead.
r/DIYUK • Do these power line extenders really work ? ->7,299 right now on Amazon for 3 unit TP link deco.
r/Kerala • Are Wi-Fi Extenders Really Effective? ->I use a deco. I had disconnection problems when I was using the fast band and I saw someone recommended that Google home prioritize consistency over speed and that I should switch over to 2.4hz. I did that and my Google home has never had a disconnect since.
r/googlehome • What Mesh Wifi Is Everyone Using ? ->I think the topo of making Deco in router mode will be better: ISP modem (bridge mode) -> Main X60 (Router mode) -> unmanaged switch -> Slave 1 X60 (AP mode) -> Slave 2 X60 (AP mode) If your budget kinda tight or afraid of 3 nodes cannot cover all of your house, reduce 1 node to a lower model and get a cheaper nodes. Based on the floor plan: 1.Ground floor: The main X60 can stay inside workstation area. 2.1st floor: Slave 1 X60 staying at the nearest C1 underneath your X mark 3.2nd floor: Situational based on usage of children or master bedroom Just in case if the director cabin not having good wifi coverage from both Main X60 and slave 1, you can get a cheapy node compatible with tplink mesh and putting it in this room (Wireless will be fine, no need to cable up)
r/HomeNetworking • First timer at home networking ->I've been running a TP-Link Deco X60 setup both in my current and previous 2 story apartments. I am also using it as a PPPoE modem to connect to my ISP. In my previous one I had 2 units on the living floor and another one on the rooftop. I had used only its wifi capabilities as a backbone and it was pretty decent, not super-fast but good enough. In my current apartment I have an Ethernet cable running across the rooms so the entire backbone is LAN based and the performance is amazing across the board. From a management system I'm using both the obvious (parental controls) and some advanced capabilities such as Dynamic DNS, port forward and custom DNS server and everything works without a hitch. As I purchased this system 3-4 years ago I cannot comment on the price however I do remember it was reasonably priced back then, and I am pretty sure TP-Link has made some improvement since.
r/BuyItForLife • Best mesh wifi system recommendations ->From a cost/quality/ease of setup TP Link Deco’s are definitely in the running. I have 3 in a 2600 sq/ft 1 floor house with no problems. Granted mine are all hardwired in AP mode but I imagine they would still work well in mesh.
r/HomeNetworking • Best mesh WiFi system for a large house with dead zones and multiple floors? ->First off, sorry to hear about the lightning strike — that’s rough, glad at least two units survived. Mixing in Wi-Fi 6E/7 with your existing Wi-Fi 6 Decos won’t really unlock their full potential, since the mesh will still lean on the lowest standard. Unless you plan to replace the whole setup, you won’t see a big jump. If your two current units are still covering fine, the safest move is just adding another Wi-Fi 6 Deco to keep everything consistent. Wi-Fi 7 is great long-term (throughput, latency, efficiency), but right now it’s only worth it if you’re going all-in or already have a bunch of 6E/7 client devices. As for the AX-50 Outdoor — it’s solid for extending coverage outside (yard, patio, garage). It’s basically just a weatherproof Deco, so don’t expect crazy speed boosts compared to indoor nodes, but range is quite decent.
r/TpLink • Deco Mesh AX-3600 WiFi 6 replacement ->I have tp link Delco each has ethernet back haul works great.
r/HomeNetworking • What is the Best WiFi Mesh System for Home? 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 ->It provided Wifi 6 for cheap but I couldn't get mine to work optimally. 5G was inconsistent and had an unusually short range (could barely reach outside my tiny room). I did a wired backhaul but when I tested it with wireless backhaul it was a miserable experience. Had to decommission mine after a couple of weeks and ended up buying a Deco X60.
r/InternetPH • Anyone here using the Xiaomi Mesh System AX3000? Worth it? ->Do you intend having wifi or wired backhaul? If wifi backhaul, I would certainly recommend the X60 rather than the X10.
r/TpLink • TP Link Deco X10 enough? ->With wireless backhaul, the wifi capacity of the Deco is much more sollicited: wifi is used to communicate between Deco and devices, and also used to communicate betwen Deco, usually across obstacles. Hence, taking into account the usage (gamers, ...), the size of the house, and the speed of the Internet connection, I expect X60 to offer a better service if using wireless backhaul. With wired backhaul, if there are no major obstacles between Deco and the devices, X60 would probably not bring significant benefits.
