So from what I understand Alpkit, take the result from the Leeds uni test, convert that to togs and then convert it again to find the EN equivalent. I think the info on the lightwave site https://www.lightwave.uk.com/articles/temperature-ratings is probably the most useless and great that a brand are being so open. Knowing "your own temperature limits" and being able to figure out if a bag or quilt is suitable, is definitely more useful than relying on brand/test provided ratings. Yeah I've had that bag, I sleep very warm so used it down to zero. Definitely a late April to September bag. The only thing I liked about it was its fit.

I'll just mention that my snugpak 'winter' bag is rated to -10C, but there's no way I'd use it in those temperatures. Take the rating with a pinch of salt. My Alpkit down bag (-7C comfort rating) is way warmer than the Snugpak. I don't know about the arctic bag, I have the modular system. And yes, get a decent mat.
