Good answer -- except the omission of F or C after "-20." FWIW, Feathered Friends are typically a bit less expensive than WM because FF cuts out the middleman. FF is a good company and makes its winter bags in Seattle. I've had a -10F/-23C Feathered Friends Eider for 20 years and it performs like new. The Eider is a wide bag, which allows me to wear a down parka inside the bag without compression loft.
r/alpinism • Sleeping Bag Recommendations ->192cm here. Long versions of Feathered Friends, Western Mountaineering, or Enlightened Equipment bags. For your temp range I use 20F EE quilt. For a tent, you can also get something longer. I use Tarptent Rainbow which leaves me with almost 30 cm to spare length wise.
r/CampingGear • Fellow tall campers, where do you get warm sleeping bags??? ->There isn’t really an absolute best, but I like Katabatic for a quilt and western mountaineering or feathered friends for a bag. I prefer quilts down to around the low 20s, bags below that. Having a pocket in your quilt for a sleeping pad seems silly to me.
