I have the women’s endless promise Nemo 15 and I literally love it. The material is so warm, so so soft and I feel like I have lots of space to sprawl out while still keeping warmth. Also love the gills to let help regulate temp
Get a disco 15 from Nemo. Only use kelty in the summers.
I have a disco 15 and love it. Alternatively you can get a fleece bag liner to add some warmth that way instead of a whole new bag.
Awesome. I have a disco 15 that I use for Algonquin but nothing ready for the cold we’ve been getting lately.
hi!!! i am a lady and have the disco 15. i am in love with it. your wife might like this one- you can unzip gills if you get too hot though i never over heat in mine. so squishy
I think your pad is a bit over the top for the Rockies for 3 season but too much is better than too little. I use a 15 deg Nemo Disco 650 down had it for five years and have its perfect. I’m about to hand it down to my son and buy the new version, might splurge for the 800fp just to save to 100g! I do take thicker base layers in the late season.
If you’re fine with a mummy bag get the Coda, it’s a bit lighter and warmer. I got the disco as I’m a side sleeper, I find the extra room makes a difference for me. I haven’t tried a quilt and probably never will, drafts are a thing and the weather in the mountains can change drastically, I know I’m good in a bag. I misspoke before, getting the Riff to replace the Disco. Riff basically a lighter disco.
Your sleeping pad is fine albeit a bit heavy. I’m not familiar with Nordisk products but very familiar with Nemo. Given your budget I’d go with the Nemo Disco instead of the Riff. I’ve used a Nemo Disco 650 fill 15degF bag backpacking in the Canadian Rockies for seven years and I can wholeheartedly recommend this bag. It’s warm enough for three season camping to below freezing temps (with the right base layer) and I’ve even used it winter camping down to -10degC. Yes, you want hydrophobic down as in certain weather you’ll get more condensation inside your tent. I’m upgrading to the Nemo Riff as I’m handing down my Disco to my son. The only advantage of the Riff’s 800 fill down is it’s slightly lighter and should be slightly more packable. I’d get it if your budget allows but honestly I’d get the disco and use the savings towards a lighter sleep pad or some other gear upgrade.
Nemo’s spoon shaped bags are quite roomy, probably one of the spaciest mummy-ish bag.
I have that Nemo Disco 15 and it’s killer but hoooooly cats does it sleep warm. I’m going to have to get something else to use in the summer.
I just got the Nemo Disco 15 and even in nights below freezing I was SWEATING. It's super comfortable though.
Yeah but the Nemo disco 15 is a heavy and bulky bag lol
I have a nemo disco 15 and feel it's worth the hype
same. I sleep like a rotisserie chicken and also curl into fetal/flamingo position and the disco is fabulous. So much room in there. I have 2 pillows in one case (nemo fillow and an rei foam) along with a closed cell pad and the rei helix in wide. the helix is a ton of r value, it doesn't crunch when I'm moving around even slightly as much as the BA or Nemo ones do... and is pretty comfy
