I bought an inexpensive Ozark trail double sleeping bag. Used it no issues. It also seperates to two individual sleeping bags. Way better than my mummy bag.

Are you backpacking? Is the weight or bulk of the gear a concern? What temperatures do you expect during your trip? Are you a side sleeper? Mummy bags are warmer but not very comfortable for side sleepers. For $100 I'd recommend the Ozark Trail brand at Walmart. It's good enough for occasional use and way cheaper than any of the premium brands.
