Ozark Trail - Climatech 30-Degree Lightweight Sleeping Bag

Can confirm. I bought the same one. The stitching on mine failed after 15 days. I over trusted it and pulled on it too hard though. I’m sure if you tighten it with care, it should be fine longer. But yes, mine ripped quick. The sleeping bag is great though! Very warm and comfortable.

I think the coldest I used it was down at 38 degrees, and it was great. I believe it’s graded for 30 and I could see it working well as advertised! During the warmer nights I use it as a pullover and it regulates temp well. The only downside is the compact case ripped lol

Oh there may be different temps yeah. My bad. I bought the 30 degree one. But it worked as expected. Same brand, case and design though.

I was pulling it pretty tight. Maybe too tightly. Maybe to the size of a gallon milk jug? Is was quite a bit of stress on the straps. But I had a lot to fit and only had a 45L pack.

I love my ozark trail compression sleeping bag. It’s great for when it’s hot as balls outside camping at low elevations …..just be sure you check the weather forecast specifically at whatever elevation you’ll be camping at before your trip….. If it gets down to anything below like 45 degrees you won’t be be sleeping at all and you’ll be spending all night trying to keep the fire alive just to try and stay warm. high elevations in Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia can still have cold snaps where temps will drop pretty low at night in the summer. I remember one time on roan mountain it was 75 degrees and sunny when we setup camp and we woke up to it being 15 degrees with ice and frost covering everything

Tbh a lot of the Ozark Trail stuff ain’t half bad. And in the past few years it’s been getting better

Are you backpacking? Is the weight or bulk of the gear a concern? What temperatures do you expect during your trip? Are you a side sleeper? Mummy bags are warmer but not very comfortable for side sleepers. For $100 I'd recommend the Ozark Trail brand at Walmart. It's good enough for occasional use and way cheaper than any of the premium brands.
