thirding Teton bags. i have one of their flannel lined 0 degree bags and it was almost too warm in 12 degree weather up in the Smoky mountains. bonus, it’s also 10 years and still works great. not affiliated with them, just a happy customer.

i honestly dont know how much warm it provides but i like my s2s reactor bag liner. much better feel than my nylon quilt. but matched with my paria 15deg quilt, ive found it a good winter camp combo. that's with a nemo tensor extreme and ccf pad. also have a zero deg teton bag i use at hunting camp. thing is budget friendly ($100) bulky and wicked cozy. if space isnt concern, and budget is, its a good option. can look into bedrolls too. can throw certain setups in a snowbank and sleep cozy. have no product experience tho

I also have a Teton 0F bag and it’s great. Used it earlier this month when it got down into the 40s at night. Wool socks and a hat make a huge difference too. I love that sleeping bag.

Teton 0 degree bag, it's big and heavy but it's very comfy and like 80$

I have a Teton sleeping bag which works well for me. I only camp a few times per year and never in the winter so I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a bag. I’ve had it for about 10 years.

I just bought a new in box sleeping bag by Teton. The bag is rated for ZERO survival rate and Teton said 25-35 comfort. I slept in the bag last night in my own apartment (without turning the heat on) at 65 degrees and was cold- not shivering cold, but not cozy warm. I emailed the company asking if I should make a flannel or fleece liner. I read here not too long ago that sleeping in peejays might not add so much value to warmth and that somtimes fewer clothes=warmer. Unsure. From what I've read, a 35F rated tent means you won't die if it gets to 35F but you might be very uncomfy. Not sure what the answer is but I was expecting to be toasty warm so your concerns are valid. Sounds like you'll be car camping, not backpacking. Ask all your friends to borrow another bag, maybe a larger bag, and put your bag into a bigger bag? Good luck.

Im a big fan of the TETON SPORTS for budget and car camping sleeping bags. They are a good price for the quality. I have one that is flannel lined and is super roomy with a built in pillow that can be removed. I also agree with alot of other commentors about using blanket. A nice wool or down blanket and some sheet usually fit the bill for summer camping.
