FWIW I have the Lightbed 25 version with the insulated half sheet and it is the best outdoor sleep I’ve ever had. It comes as close to your bed at home - you can move and ventilate freely while being warm and cozy when needed. The rating is of course limit/transition but I’ve had it down to around and just below freezing (with a Xtherm NXT mat). Around 5°C and below it gets a bit chilly but I sleep very cold. I find that it doesn’t absorb water easily and that it dries up quickly if damp from condensation. Packs down reasonably well due to the 850fp down. I do not use their mat or pillow but the quilt and attachment system will be my go to going forward. Had it with me on The Great Outdoors Challenge crossing this year in Scotland and it performed admirably. My only regret is not buying the UL version. Feel free to ask whatever questions you may have.

Yeah, they're really good. I have the Waratah -8 and I'm just about to fit zenbivy conversion patches to it. Its much lighter than the equivalent ZB light quilt and not crazy priced like the ZB UL stuff.

They’re constrictive and you get twisted up inside the lining if you move in your sleep. Zenbivy came up with the solution to this and other problems.

For 10 a degree comfort rating the concept of “ budget friendly “ will begin to be a stretch. You may want to look at a hight temp rating then add a bag liner. I have a Zenbivy 25 degree Light Bed sleep system and really like it. I use their Flex inflatable pad. On a recent trip in November the air temp dropped to below freezing (we had frozen water bottles in the morning) and I stayed warm. I had a lightweight fleece blanket also to give me an extra 10 degrees of warmth. The mattress is great, i never felt any cold from the ground.

Schau dir mal Zenbivy Light Bed -4°C an, kombinierte die Vorteile eines Quilts mit dem Rundum-Schutz eines Schlafsacks. War für mich die beste Entscheidung der letzten Jahre....

I don’t have the ultralight but I have the light system and I love it.

A lot of no in the comments. I have the 10 degree light quilt and sheet with the ultralight mattress and I like it a lot. It takes up very little space and has kept me plenty comfortable into the upper 20s overnight. It is pricy but to me has been worth it. It really depends on what you’re looking for. I could have pieced together a setup for less but this checked all the boxes and met my needs volume wise. I also really liked the sheet setup. Volume is the big thing for me and how small it packs down. Thats why I went down vs synthetic. Everyone has their own priorities and what they find value in though.

I would go with a quilt, they are great for moving around. Zenbivy is most peoples favorite, I really enjoy my Big Agnes.

My husband and I backpack and use a Big Agnes Rapide double pad and a Zenbivy quilt system. The quilt is far superior to a double bag, in my opinion, because it feels more like your bed at home, is less constricting, and is quite warm! We also have the extra liner for extra cold nights. You also cut way back on space and weight (important for us when backpacking, less important for car camping) using a quilt. We have a sheet for the pad that the quilt hooks onto, making it super easy to get out on your respective sides without jostling your partner or getting airflow if one of you sleeps hot. We eloped and backpacked on the Isle of Skye for our honeymoon and stayed cozy and cuddly even on super windy 40°F nights. Never going back to a double bag again!!
