Canon all the way. I absolutely love mine and would never even consider an Epson due to my experience with the ones I’ve owned. I have a pro-4000 and 6100.
r/CommercialPrinting • Large format photo printers - Viable alternatives to Epson SureColor? ->At my previous workplace, we ran a couple of HP DesignJets for forever, and the print quality was fantastic. Once it was time to replace one of them, we went with the Canon Pro 6100. It had similar print quality, used less ink for equivalent prints, took up less space (the 60-inch Canon took up a similar footprint to the 42-inch DesignJet), and could hold two rolls loaded at a time, which was really handy for a certain time of the year for us. I had not a single complaint about the 6100, and just wished I could have had more time with it before I went to another job. Here, we have just a single machine, an EFI Pro 16h. Which is great, for it's general capabilities, but the print quality compared to a good aqueous printer just isn't there, which hurts a bit, given its price.
