*If* you have a recent Fuji X body with bluetooth in it, [you can send an image from the camera](https://fujifilm-dsc.com/en/manual/x-t30-iii/connections/instax_print/#gsc.tab=0) directly to one of [the current Instax "printers" ](https://www.instaxus.com/printers/#smartphone-printers)(they use Instax instant film \[like tiny little polaroids\] and expose the film with a row of OLEDs) without needing a phone app/laptop. If you only have an older X camera that can only do wi-fi (and not bluetooth), you need an older SP-1 or SP-2; the newer printers only do bluetooth. I use an X100T with my SP-2 to make tiny polaroids all the time at Comic-Con. :) And, of course, Instax Mini film is business-card sized with a smaller image area and relatively expensive (\~$8 for a pack of 10 sheets). Most of your money is going to go to the film. If you want to go cheaper than that, getting a $75 plastic Instax Mini 12 camera to be your modern Polaroid would be the lowest-cost. But this option means you can't review, or pick and choose, or process an image prior to "printing" while an Instax printer gives you those options. And the printers will also work with your smartphone and its film roll if you can run the app. Your best quality option is a Canon Selphy CP model (dye-sub and the ability to print up to 4"x6") but these are more "luggables" and not pocketable. And they also require a specific paper and ink set. Similarly, Zink printers (e.g., Selphy QX or most other non-Instax mini printers) only work with sticker papers. You cannot avoid this, since Zink uses embedded heat-sensitive color inks in the paper, so regular paper or photo papers are not going to work with one. So might not be suitable for your uses, even if you can find a way to send an image to one without a phone app.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but yung tried and tested ko talaga na di nag fade or damage over time is Instax Printers (previously Instax Share). I have been using the Instax Share SP-2 (Mini size) since 2015 and SP-3 (Square size) since 2017. Super sulit and my prints are still good as new na as if I just printed it. Now they even have hybrid cameras na can also print photos from your phone. Yung mga prints ko from Canon Selphy and others) have tried a Samsung portable photo printer, another using HP zink and either nag fade, yellow, and dumikit sa photo album/wallet.

I've always used Instax printers. I have the Mini, Square and Wide, so there's a bit of variety, and I like how it gives a little retro "Polaroid" flair to the journal. I'll either glue them in, use washi tape, or I'll get photo corners off of Temu or Amazon and put them in that way. I like the different sizes, and I can use different coloured washi or photo corners to bring a pop to them as well.

I like the Instax ones but I use a LiPlay too, and a Fuji camera. Still, can work with other brands.

r/bulletjournalWhat mini phone printer do you guys recommend?

I have a Fujifilm Instax Mini. Not sure what generation it is, because I looked it up on Amazon and the newer ones look very different from mine. I still love it though! You have to use their app to print photos but it’s easy to use.

r/TravelersnotebooksIs anyone using a thermal printer for putting photos in their TN?

Thermals fade, as others have noted. I have one of those mini instax kinda cameras, that pop out mini Polaroid style photos. The one I have also acts as a printer, I can send it pics from my phone to print. They hold up really well - but they are thicker than the thermal paper. I don’t like to use them in my regular journal because of the thickness, but in TNs that’s less of an issue.
