I have the [Kodak Mini 3 Retro](https://kodakphotoprinter.com/products/best-photo-printer-kodak-mini-3-retro-1), [Instax Square Link](https://www.instaxus.com/printers/instax-square-link/), and Instax Mini Link 2. The Kodak printer has been a pain. It's a 3 pass to print the photo, and sometimes the photo gets stuck. Also, the film keeps getting stuck. There's no way to remove the film cartridge without damaging the whole thing, so you end up wasting an entire cartridge. If given a choice, I would have avoided it. I've had it for over a year now. The Instax Square and Mini are really good. They're more like mini Polaroid photos.
I recently got the Polaroid Hi-Print 2x3 photo printer and really like it! I have an Android and use Google Photos. The only issue I've had is that it seems like I have to "forget" the Bluetooth connection and reconnect it each time I want to use it. I don't have that problem with the mini Link that prints photos in the old polaroid style, though, so it seems to just be a quirk. I like both of them!
I have the cp1500 and instax mini link and use them both for different use cases. Cp1500 is great to use with proper photo frames around the house or gift someone. Instax is for quick and “fun” prints to take around (my 4yo daughter loves them). I also bought a bunch of magnetic frames and often rotate new instax photos on my fridge.
Not even comparable. Canon produces perfect prints and instax is very small Polaroid-style prints. The colors and sharpness and accuracy of print of instax are lower but that’s part of the charm
i don’t know if it’s the best but i have an instax mini printer that prints photos like polaroids with film and i personally love it and it was pretty cheap
I've always used Instax printers. I have the Mini, Square and Wide, so there's a bit of variety, and I like how it gives a little retro "Polaroid" flair to the journal. I'll either glue them in, use washi tape, or I'll get photo corners off of Temu or Amazon and put them in that way. I like the different sizes, and I can use different coloured washi or photo corners to bring a pop to them as well.
I like the Instax ones but I use a LiPlay too, and a Fuji camera. Still, can work with other brands.
I have a Fujifilm Instax Mini. Not sure what generation it is, because I looked it up on Amazon and the newer ones look very different from mine. I still love it though! You have to use their app to print photos but it’s easy to use.
Thermals fade, as others have noted. I have one of those mini instax kinda cameras, that pop out mini Polaroid style photos. The one I have also acts as a printer, I can send it pics from my phone to print. They hold up really well - but they are thicker than the thermal paper. I don’t like to use them in my regular journal because of the thickness, but in TNs that’s less of an issue.
for me if colored, instax talaga sis
Get the Link printer! You can also print from your computer nowadays (you couldn't with earlier firware) so you can professionally edit in Lightroom and Photoshop and then print straight to the Link. With the Wide Evo you'd have to transfer the files to the camera first and then print from the camera menu. Way more cumbersome.
