I like the Instax ones but I use a LiPlay too, and a Fuji camera. Still, can work with other brands.
r/AskPhotography • Mini photo printers? ->I also bought the Instax Mini but i find myself using the Canon Ivy more.
r/scrapbooking • Recommendations for a photo printer? ->OP, I know this was for Christmas, and I saw that you already bought yours—I hope you like it! But for anyone reading this in the future, that’s my take. I was at a photo fair in November and had been thinking about the Canon QX10 for a while. So, I went to the Canon stand, asked about it, and inquired if anything new was coming with USB-C. The representative told me, "You're in luck—we're just launching the QX20." I really liked what I saw. There was also a Fujifilm stand with the Instax portable printer, where they allowed you to print as much as you wanted, with options for both portrait and square formats. I personally wanted something for my photography business. My idea was to give a photo to a client at the end of a shoot by sending it from my camera to my phone, doing a quick retouch, printing it, and handing it over as a thank-you gesture. I noticed that Instax prints took more time to develop, and since they use the same paper as their Polaroid-style cameras, I was concerned I’d end up with a lot of hit-or-miss prints, resulting in wasted money on paper. So, I preferred the Canon QX20. However, the next day, when I looked at photos from the Instax, I realized they had much better colors and overall quality. They felt more like real photos, with a glossy layer on top. Now, I kind of regret not going with that option. But if you need something instant, you might prefer the Canon QX20 or a similar ink-based printer. If you don’t mind the wait, the Instax is worth checking out.
r/hobonichi • Printer Dilemma :') ->I have a Fujifilm Instax Mini. Not sure what generation it is, because I looked it up on Amazon and the newer ones look very different from mine. I still love it though! You have to use their app to print photos but it’s easy to use.
r/bulletjournal • What mini phone printer do you guys recommend? ->Thermals fade, as others have noted. I have one of those mini instax kinda cameras, that pop out mini Polaroid style photos. The one I have also acts as a printer, I can send it pics from my phone to print. They hold up really well - but they are thicker than the thermal paper. I don’t like to use them in my regular journal because of the thickness, but in TNs that’s less of an issue.
r/Travelersnotebooks • Is anyone using a thermal printer for putting photos in their TN? ->Get the Link printer! You can also print from your computer nowadays (you couldn't with earlier firware) so you can professionally edit in Lightroom and Photoshop and then print straight to the Link. With the Wide Evo you'd have to transfer the files to the camera first and then print from the camera menu. Way more cumbersome.
r/instax • Instax wide evo vs wide printer ->i got the mini link 3 a while ago during prime day and it's served me well i think it's cheaper and a smaller size really easy to set up and you can print from your camera roll i haven't been able to find refills without the polaroid but you can trim them off very easily so far i'm very pleased with it and it's easy to use and reload.
r/hobonichi • Mini Printers recommendations? ->I recently got the Polaroid Hi-Print 2x3 photo printer and really like it! I have an Android and use Google Photos. The only issue I've had is that it seems like I have to "forget" the Bluetooth connection and reconnect it each time I want to use it. I don't have that problem with the mini Link that prints photos in the old polaroid style, though, so it seems to just be a quirk. I like both of them!
r/scrapbooking • Best Mini Printer for Google Photos? ->Thank you so much for posting this review!! I now have 3 “mini” printers and the one I want to use the most is the one I’m growing to loathe, the Ivy 2 mini. The color is horrid compared to the real picture and I just don’t have the time, patience, or knowledge to adjust the color for every single print. The Instax Mini Link is somewhat better with color, but I often don’t want the Polaroid look for a photo. My third is the Selphy CP910 that I’ve had for YEARS. It’s a workhorse and truest to life as far as color quality, but it also takes a lot more work to print, since it prints bigger (4x6) and if I want smaller pics, I have to print several others so I’m not wasting paper. 😖 Not to mention it’s not portable - it has to be plugged in and is larger in size. I’ve been contemplating getting a Kodak or Sprocket, but the Sprocket seems comparable to the Ivy when it comes to color, so that’s a hard pass. The Kodak might be the way to go! This is super helpful. Just want to confirm - this is the Mini 2 Retro P210R?
r/JunkJournals • Kodak Mini 2 Photo quality ->I chose portable photo printer. That way I’m not needing to carry another camera around just use the one on my phone. Love it. You can also edit the photos to make them look how you want (black&white or old school etc) 👍🏼
