I have the [Kodak Mini 3 Retro](https://kodakphotoprinter.com/products/best-photo-printer-kodak-mini-3-retro-1), [Instax Square Link](https://www.instaxus.com/printers/instax-square-link/), and Instax Mini Link 2. The Kodak printer has been a pain. It's a 3 pass to print the photo, and sometimes the photo gets stuck. Also, the film keeps getting stuck. There's no way to remove the film cartridge without damaging the whole thing, so you end up wasting an entire cartridge. If given a choice, I would have avoided it. I've had it for over a year now. The Instax Square and Mini are really good. They're more like mini Polaroid photos.

For the largest Instax pictures you could consider the Instax Link Wide, which prints on Fujis rectangular Instax Wide film. Then there is the Instax Link Square - the pictures look like a smaller version of the iconic square Polaroid format. The instax link printers are very portable. Sometimes they have issues with printing dark lines. The Hi-Print has the best printing quality from your choices. It uses a different technology called dye sublimation. Check the local prices of the photo paper + dye sublimation cartridges to see how they compare to Instax film because the photo paper or instax film will be recurring costs. Canon also makes the Selphy models - the technology is the same as in the Polaroid Hi-print. They use dye sublimation cartridges that give you superior photo quality compared to other technologies but produce a lot of waste. The Selphy QX prints a smaller format comparable to instax square and Polaroid (slightly bigger than Instax and smaller then Polaroid)

I have a canon SELPHY for home but I take an instax square printer on holiday with me. The image quality isn’t as good but it’s so tiny and light, and I do like being able to design my pages each day. I have a ritual where I chose 3 favourite photos each day and print them and do my journal entry each evening. It can be hard to find the film in some countries. If you take film with you it has to be hand checked at airport security.

I've always used Instax printers. I have the Mini, Square and Wide, so there's a bit of variety, and I like how it gives a little retro "Polaroid" flair to the journal. I'll either glue them in, use washi tape, or I'll get photo corners off of Temu or Amazon and put them in that way. I like the different sizes, and I can use different coloured washi or photo corners to bring a pop to them as well.
