Hi all, I had a HP Photosmart 309a MFCfor over a decade. Recently it stopped printing. I used all functions on the printer regularly except for the fax. The prints were excellent, it scanned and printed double sided and the photo prints were perfect. Network and USB printing worked well. I then bought a Brother MFC J1010DW which works perfectly. Unfortanately the print quality of text, IMHO is poor. I can see jagged lines when it prints a W for instance. It is otherwise perfect. I'm going to replace it and was looking at something with sharp text and colour prints. It seems the printers that do this are £800 +. I was thinking of getting a cheap laser printer for my day to day printing and a photo printer for colour prints and coloured document printing. What would be your recommendations for me? I was also thinking about what printer should have the ADF? At the moment, I'm thinking of these printers: Epson XP 65 for colour printing: [https://www.epson.co.uk/en\_GB/products/printers/inkjet/consumer/expression-photo-xp-65-a4-wireless-inkjet-printer/p/36863](https://www.epson.co.uk/en_GB/products/printers/inkjet/consumer/expression-photo-xp-65-a4-wireless-inkjet-printer/p/36863) and Brother HL-L2400DW for black and white: [https://store.brother.co.uk/catalogs/brotheruk/devices/laser/hl/hll2400dw](https://store.brother.co.uk/catalogs/brotheruk/devices/laser/hl/hll2400dw) I use Linux BTW in case that matters and I don't want a subscription ink service.
