Got one last year from Electrolux for 349. It works fine to cool down the bedroom, albeit a little loud. You need to buy something to seal the window.

I bought a Electrolux WP 71 it has multiple functions which I rarely use but it is a beast of a machine it has cooled down an entire 35.5 m² apartment over a few hours the thing is with portable AC is you really need to seal what ever window/door you are using the exhaust and the best bet is to find a place that sells plexiglass or similar and measure your window/door and cut a hole in it for the tube to fit in and you will 100% be fine for the 2.5 months of summer here is a lot of money yeah but if you don't own your house/apartment it's best option also remember you pay for what you get. I would say buy the extension pieces for the window but those have gone from 15 euros in 2021 to 50 euro a year go also really sturdy cardboard works too just need tape

I have a Electrolux one and a window kit. Relatively happy with it but I use it before bed not during the night. Also it dehumidifies the air which is nice. I have the tube for water also directly to the outside

Got a monoblock from Electrolux, which works as well as monoblocks can. But whatever you do, don't get their window kit, it's expensive garbage.

We used to have a Meaco one from Costco within that price range, and that broke within a year. Since then we tried an AEG one which was terrible, and now have a De’Longhi Pinguino. It looks like Currys have a couple near your price range. We also have a still working De’Longhi dehumidifier which is probably old enough to vote, and so while now I’ve praised them on the internet I’m sure they’ll both break immediately, I have some faith in the brand. Would definitely suggest considering spending a little extra on one of the Pinguinos if you can.
