I do. It's an Amcor thing from Amazon. 7,000 BTU, does the trick for one or two rooms. Cost about £3-6 quid per day to run last year, depending how long it was on for. It's quite loud.
There are some room size calculators that'll do it for you, but I just Googled and took a stab in the dark. Smart meter. I should probably mention I WFH too, so when it's on it's generally on for a while.
We bought ours 2-3 years ago, it's rather big, the brand is AMCOR and I like it. It's a bit noisy but I find they all are. The pipe that goes out the window has withstood quite a bit of battering and it's doing great! Oh also, it also has a dehumidifier setting and a fan setting. I used the dehumidifier setting in our old flat a fair bit It's about £250
We have an electriQ AirFlex 14000 - specifically because it has a pipe you can connect to the front \[as well as the regular one that goes out of the window\] so we can send the airflow out to another room rather than have to move the whole unit. We're also on the top floor \[well, top three floors, it's an odd split with the font & back at different levels\] but the pipe lets us pump air down to the living room in the evening as well as our workrooms & bedroom at other times. Previously we've had a couple of Amcor units - OK, but not as good as this one. General advice - get as many BTUs as you can possibly afford. It's never quite enough. electriQ now do a 1600 I've done a filtered search on this site, which is where we got ours from. Had an AMCOR for about 10 years, it’s not silent by any means but the sound is constant and consistent so you quickly tune it out. As already mentioned, best to turn on for a few hours before bedtime if the noise bothers you.
