Yes. We use it in our living room which is quite large and open and it's great. The hose goes up the chimney. If you used it in a single room it would be Arctic-like which I'd love 😄 I would say it isn't noisy but not sure others would be able to cope with it being on. It's a similar level of noise to an airfryer, imo.

Buy a delonghi pinguino, adapt a second tube ( intake ) to don’t suck any cold air from inside to cool down the compressor! Place near a window, tubes outside, and find a way to isolate so no hot air comes inside! If u need some tips, i can show you my setup!

Got a couple of delonghi pinguino ones and they're really good. Upstairs one cools two fairly decent sized rooms to a nice chilly temp and one downstairs chills the open plan downstairs and while it's not freezing (the poor AC unit isn't designed for this square footage...) it makes a pretty decent dent and brings the temp down alot. Would recommend.

Go for it but remember that even the ones sold as “silent” are really pretty noisy. I can just about sleep with our Delonghi Piguino on it’s so called silent mode. You also have to set it to a much cooler temperature that it’ll never get to. Otherwise it makes a small noise when it gets to temperature and stops, and a much noisier clunk when it restarts. But still worth it. Also consider homemade ventilation ideas. If it’s hotter inside than outside, it’s faster and cheaper to get some outside air in and that inside air out.

Me too, after our DeLonghi costing twice the price failed after 3 summers. Nothing beats a proper installed split system.

We've got one of those, great machine, but their claim for it being silent is complete bullshit lol, nothing silent about it. Still, very glad we have it.

Hola! Si no tienes opción de instalar un aire acondicionado, te recomiendo comprar un pingüino (un aire acondicionado portátil). Yo lo compré para el comedor y algo hace. A parte de eso, como ya te ha comentado otra persona, baja las persianas durante el día. La oscuridad es tu nueva amiga jajajaja.

I have a DeLonghi Pinguino. I got it at Costco in 2021 and it’s worked like a champ every summer. We had a heat dome either the first or second year I had it. The temp was 116-118 for 3 days. I had it going 24 hours a day in the living room of my 1 bedroom apartment, around 750 sq ft. I was so comfortable I was baking and cooking while reading posts in my local sub from people who were absolutely miserable and had blocked off all but 1 room in their house and even multiple a/c units couldn’t keep that 1 room cool, or apartments that were in the high 90s inside even with an a/c unit. At night when I watched tv I had a blanket because I was chilly (I needed it to cool my bedroom too). I 100% fully and happily recommend this wonderful machine. I’ve had espresso machines from this company for around 20 years. I think I’ve had 3 over all that time and they’ve held up and lasted until I was ready for a new model. From what I can tell the company makes great quality products that work well and go the distance.

Un pingüino, de los de tubo de aire caliente al exterior y garrafa para el agua que suelta (muy útil para regar plantas luego además). Los hay muy potentes, tengo uno con unos cuantos de años ya, vivo cerca de Barcelona que tenemos la humedad a tope y por la noche tengo que quitarlo porque me da frío. Reconozco que mi resistencia al frío es muy limitada, pero vamos, que si lo dejas encendido dudo que sigas teniendo calor.
