https://imgur.com/a/dspN26s hey OP...we have a small 24ft class C so we're a little different than you. we went with this DREO 8000 BTU portable AC for use. it's way quieter than the roof top unit for sure. yes, it's a single hose unit, but in our testing, it's very nice. in our shakedown cruise around napa with temps hovering in mid 80's, we were able to keep our RV pretty comfy set to 74F while parked. we tried having this running while we were driving--it works decent enough. our 50A DC-DC charger supplies almost 600W at highway speeds--it will ramp down usage if it detects the charging system isn't keeping up to keep our starter battery from discharging. (it's a renogy unit). anyways check out the DREO brand. we got it from amazon. this particular unit does have a holding tank which you can manually drain. depending how humid, this one has a non-drain feature. however if it does need to be drained, the unit will let you know. we're getting ready for a trip up the PNW. while it's mostly cool along the coast, when we hit seattle it can get warmish. last year it was mid to upper 80's. we made it up to squamish BC and it was upper 80's outside, which made for not a fun time when it was at night. we're really excited to have this unit to help us out--previously we'd run the motorhome's engine and idle--which isn't great. hope this helps, and good luck !

I live in an old apartment and my bedroom gets hot, don't want a loud and clanky window unit and can't sleep if its hot so a portable one worked for me. I can control it with an app so its not running 24/7 and during the cooler months I just take the hose out the window and tuck everything away.
