You can't go wrong with Dreo Portable A/C units. I've had mine for 3 years now with zero issues. It's not extremely loud and cools amazing. I have an older model version of this one... For a single hose option, the Dreo portable AC I purchased last year served me well for 5+ months of almost continuous operation in multiple heat waves.
The dreo portable ac makes my bedroom 66 degrees in 10 mins or less. Its amazing
Year two in a loft conversion bedroom. Just buy one. Seriously I'd have died in year one if I hadn't been persuaded we need it. We got it. I loved it. We got it out (obvs a bit early and weather is going to shite in the next two weeks). It's currently a comfy 19 up there - about to go to bed - as per the app and we haven't actually got the window properly sorted again this year yet, as in not quite properly sealed up. Just DO IT! Ours is a DREO if that helps. Edit: Noise, I quite like the hum. No different to the sound in a decent hotel room abroad. Partner seems to snore less loudly with it going. Odd, but great!
I would go Midea. I was between the Midea and a Dreo but ended up with the Dreo because the housing is white vs the Midea housing being black. The Midea has a bit more power and is smart equipped but at the time the Dreo was on sale, so that's what I went with. It does great for the livingroom. If I need another, I will get the Midea.
