hoponbopWe purchased a Hisense 5000 BTU portable when our "Indian Summer" got unexpectedly warm last year. Just wanted it for the bedroom instead of turning the central air back on. It worked a treat. We've just brought it back out trying to hold off a few more weeks. A few family members have Hisense which they are happy with, and we're thinking about getting another for the guest bedroom that's always hard to cool. (edit) We haven't noticed a significant increase in the electric bill.
