https://www.costco.com/.product.4000330563.html?COSTID=iosapp_25.8.6&TRACKING=NO&sh=true&nf=true Get one like this that has dual hose. One pulls the cold air in and the other pulls the hot air out of your room. Otherwise, the heat will be trapped in your room when you turn it off.

Well, I bought the Hisense for our sunroom from Lowe’s. I’m in Middle Midwest US. It’s a heat pump/AC combo. The first one @ 1 day old just put out 90* heat and the AC compressor kicked on and off nonstop and never actually cooled the room. Fast forward 4 days and The second one sounds like a dying whale it cools but the room is never below 76-77* and never shuts off. I’m going to take it back to Lowe’s, and I’ll just install a mini split myself.

Just putting this out there since you asked for a recommendation. The models we use in emergencies for our secured IDFs: are Hisense AP1022TW1GD. We have two full size ACs in our server room, so extremely unlikely we will ever need them in there.

Fair, two other units I could recommend would be the Hisense Smart Tower Portable AC or the GE profile inverter Portable AC, they have the standard separate two hoses and you could clamp an extension on it. I have the Hisense tower, it’s great and it has a heat pump for winter.

Just chiming in on portable ACs - picked up a Hisense dual hose from Costco last summer for our 10x12 room. Works great for nighttime (9pm to 6am) use and it’s not too loud. Only saw about a $1/day bump on the PG&E bill. Night and day difference compared to our window unit (other room) that’s loud AF and makes our electric bill cry. Lol

I bought a hisense dual hose from costco. It may not be as efficient as a window unit but so easy to install and overall does a great job

I have a dual hose hisense that I got from costco. I drain it from time to time but outside that, it doesnt really say any other maintance, there is no removable filter. sometimes it smells when it first turns on, is that something I can clean or fix?

r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->
