Got a MeacoCool Pro 7000 at the start of summer, as my wife is 7 months pregnant and struggling with the hot nights. It’s been an absolute game changer the past few weeks with the heatwaves, don’t know why we didn’t get one before now. It’s energy ‘A’ rated, and only draws about 750w when at maximum power.
I bought one of these about 4 years ago. A mecco one. It was really noisy and a pain to get the hose out of the room. It didn't really work that well. You could only really feel the coolness directly in the breeze which was very blowy and had no option to make it gentler. No I have I stalled proper air con with an outside unit and the inside units attached to the wall. But I can't get it in all the rooms in the house. They are 100 times better than the portable one I bought 4 years ago. You can barely hear it and it's freezing cold in the winter and warms up a room really fast in the summer. Have portable ones gotten better and quieter? Id still be interested in buying one to fill the gap in the house i have.
