Really needs to go out a window otherwise you're just dumping hot air into your house, even if it's another room. Are you in the US? I got a midea unit at Costco that works great. Only really use it when I have to (in Florida so power outage from a hurricane or if something happens to my AC) but never had an issue. Was a couple hundred bucks.

I just put the Midea back in the window over the weekend, though it's the more expensive one Costco sold in 2023 with the heater. It's a bit loud when the condenser kicks in depending on mode but did the job. Had a second Midea like the one you linked last summer and the Dry function didn't work. Called Midea and they said to take it back to Costco and get my money back, no questions asked. What's your room size? One is 12,000 and the other is only 8,000. You don't want it too big for your room.

I got this same unit for the same price, but mine has this constant rattle sound. Does anyone have any experience with this and have a way to fix it? I'd rather not return it because frankly it was a huge pain in the ass to get home.

The Midea can pull 1200W easily when it's cooling the flat down on boost mode. Normally it's running around 300-500W when keeping the temperature stable. 24° 65m2.

Ours from ALDI is loud and weak. I set up a Midea unit for a friend and that is a beast! I was amazed.
