PC fans use DC motors, which use 1/10 of the energy and are much quieter than AC motors. ... They're also are engineered to be virtually silent. ... To get the same amount of air cleaning power one unit achieved with my winix 5200-2 I'd have to run it at turbo mode and it's just way too loud. Plus the corsi rose thal box built with pc fans pulled 8 watts vs the winix pulling about 60 at turbo. My electricity rates in CA are super expensive and it saves hundreds of dollars a year in energy and filter costs to go with a Corsi Rosenthal box."

"I really despise levoit. I'll never buy anything from them again. Their customer service and "warranty" are awful ... Bought two smart humidifiers, both were defective. Reached out and they sent me a replacement, which also was defective. ... Wanted to just return them and get a refund, but they only offered a credit. The credit I got was less than the current cost of a new product, so I would've had to pay even more. ... By the way, this whole process took more than a month. Customer service was extremely slow with updates."

I had emails with them back and forth about the smell, assuming that it was covered under the warranty. They were not very helpful. In fact they were very dismissive and told me to get someone to clean it (almost as expensive as the air conditioner) or clean it myself (which I believe would void the warranty) so I used the wick trick to drain water from the a/c and purchased an extended warranty. ... I don't understand why they would have created an AC that didn't drain. ... My brother has two of them, one of which is full of mold"

I got this same unit for the same price, but mine has this constant rattle sound. Does anyone have any experience with this and have a way to fix it? I'd rather not return it because frankly it was a huge pain in the ass to get home.
