Dies.
Also 17,50 Euro pro Gutschein gespart. Somit hat mich die Anlage ca. 620 gekostet.
r/Finanzen • Die beste Investition seit langem, ich habe mir eine mobile Klimaanlage gekauft. ->I have the Midea Portasplit
r/Switzerland • portable split air conditioner for renters ->Support this. We keep the compressor on our balcony and use it to cool the living area. It was 35 outside and 22 inside within 30 minutes. We even used the oven and it was a very comfortable temperature.
r/germany • Are there actually any portable a.c units that don't suck?
->buy a Midea Portasplit and call it a day.
r/Switzerland • Todays weather has pushed me to buy a mobile Air conditioning unit.
r/wohnen • Mobile Klimaanlage in Dachgeschoss ->Beides Schrott. I just bought the Portasplit, and I can say the hype is real! I have it installed through my sliding door, with the outside unit on by balcony. I 3D printed a part to have the hose fit through the sliding door, having a wooden pillar on top to make it make it 100% close the door. And oh my, it’s genius. I am able to cool of my Appartement to a nice 23 C without too much effort and almost no noise, with actually a quite low power use. It’s genius!
r/Switzerland • Todays weather has pushed me to buy a mobile Air conditioning unit. ->I am very happy with my purchase, midea portasplit, not as lound as the monounits, more energy efficient, flexible in terms of where you can put the outside unit and the design is also quite good. And the most important thing, it works.
r/Switzerland • Todays weather has pushed me to buy a mobile Air conditioning unit.
->have one, my new bff
r/germany • Are there actually any portable a.c units that don't suck?
->Good afternoon. I have a request for you folks. I live in a place that doesn't allow me to have ductless or window AC units, but my situation is such that I need separate AC for my office as the central air is based around my kitchen thermostat, which cannot be changed. What I was told is that *I am specifically not allowed to modify the exterior of my unit.* As such, what I ended up with was a portable AC unit. I can't remember the model off the top of my head, but I believe it's in the same product line as the Friedrich ZCP08SA. It gets the job done, sure. But it's much, much, much too loud. Even at the lowest fan speed. And my microphone is all-too-happy to pick up the noise of the AC, drowning out my voice. So, what I need is alternate options. A different AC unit. Something with little to no required maintenance (such as emptying a water tank) would be preferred, but I'm fine with installing a separate pump to drain the water out the window. (Relatively) quiet operation is a MUST. This is **priority number one.** Zero (or effectively zero) maintenance is **priority number two**. I don't want to have to drain it. Everything else is secondary. The room is about 128 square feet and will be running a powerful PC. Happy to answer any questions that I can. Thanks in advance **Edit:** Minor change for clarification. **Edit 2:** The model I have now is a Friedrich ZCP10SA.
r/AirConditioners • Looking for "quiet" portable AC. ->Not at all. I still have the Friedrich in my bedroom. It works well as a white noise machine. Maybe *too* well. I managed to get it hooked up to an electric pump that drains out my window, so at least I don't have to drain it anymore. But, of course, it's still loud. For my office, I ended up with a Midea MAP12S1TBL. It's much quieter, but like any portable AC, it's still louder than, say, a window unit. I haven't had to drain it since I got it; apparently it uses some kind of evaporation technology or yada yada. Aside from the white noise you'd expect from an AC, it occasionally makes a sound that I can only describe as "a pump without enough water to *completely* fill the tube," which isn't terrible, but still worth noting. And when I turn on a guitar amp, there's (occasionally) a strange whine/whistle that I've traced back to the AC being on. I haven't noticed it affecting my computer's microphone. If you *must* get a portable AC, you could do worse than the Midea. I'm satisfied with mine.
r/AirConditioners • Looking for "quiet" portable AC. ->As the top poster said, Midea Portasplit. I spent well over 12 hours researching this and there is exactly one product that do not suck. I was about to go with [AEG AXP26U339CW](https://www.aeg.de/vacuums-home-comfort/air-comfort/air-conditioners/portable-air-conditioner/axp26u339cw/) with a [dual](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4519681) [hose](https://www.printables.com/model/498072-dual-hose-mod-for-aeg-chillflex) mod until I did one final search and found Midea Portasplit. There is zero dual hose unit
r/germany • Are there actually any portable a.c units that don't suck? ->Ist wirklich ein Game Changer mit Klima Anlage, hab die PortaSplit- Wahnsinns Teil.
r/Finanzen • Die beste Investition seit langem, ich habe mir eine mobile Klimaanlage gekauft. ->I have a Midea Portasplit. Might be overkill for just a room though, I'm super happy with it though
r/askswitzerland • Any AC portable recommendations? ->Midea PortaSplit if you have a balcony
r/Switzerland • Todays weather has pushed me to buy a mobile Air conditioning unit.
900€ + jeden Tag so 0,3-1 Euro Stromkosten.
->Absolute Zustimmung. Ich liebe meine Midea PortaSplit. Das am Besten investierte Geld bisher. Es ist soooo angenehm.
r/Finanzen • Die beste Investition seit langem, ich habe mir eine mobile Klimaanlage gekauft. ->The ones with the tube out of the window are extremely inefficient: they blow hot air from operating it out of the room, which creates an low pressure in the room. This leads to warm air from outside being pulled into the apartment, working effectively against the cooling effect. Get a mobile split device, a [type like this](https://www.obi.de/p/8620890/midea-mobile-split-klimaanlage-portasplit), which can also be installed without drilling.
->Should have asked this before ordering, no? :D It's awesome. Very energy efficient with A++ for cooling. You can also heat with it (A+). It has a silent mode for night and costs much less then other air conditioners (like the one OP mentioned "Ulisse Argo 13 Eco"). Also a very big plus is the designcompared to others. It fits nicely into a home and doesn't scream "I AM AN UGLY AIR CONDITIONER" :)
r/Switzerland • portable split air conditioner for renters ->Yeah, you're completely and utterly wrong. For one, drilling is completely unfeasible with the PortaSplit, because you physically can not separate the external and internal units. The hose cannot be detached from either side. Second, the trouble with regular mobile A/Cs is the way they work. Because they pull in hot air from the room they are in, separate it in one part hot air and one part cold air - and then blow the hot air out of the house. The problem is that this creates a pressure imbalance in the room/house which in turn results in air being sucked in from other rooms and ultimately, outside. Because of that you have a constant, powerful draft of hot air into the room you are trying to cool. The Portasplit doesn't work like this. It's a true split device, it sucks in air from the room, runs it through a heat exchanger and blows it back into the room, while the heat is transported to the heat pump outside. Because the air never leaves the room, you do not get the "low pressure causes hot air draft" issue. The heat intake through the open window is marginal as well unless you regularly have wind pushing hot air in. In that case, you can still add one of these air curtain thingies. Source: I've owned a PortaSplit since last summer (got it the month it came to market) and it has worked WONDERS both years. It is, hands down, the best mobile A/C you can buy right now and I absolutely recommend it to whoever suffers from hot rooms. I fucking love that thing.
r/germany • Are there actually any portable a.c units that don't suck? ->The app integration for it includes energy usage metering and can show you your total usage day to day. For us in a Dachgeschosswohnung it's been around 5 kWh on an average day if we start with a cool apartment (e.g. windows open overnight ambient low temp), and used a bit over 9 kWh on the extra spicy 35 degree day we had recently. On one of the cooler in-between days I let it run in fan mode the whole time to keep air moving and it used 1 kWh, just for point of comparison running regular ventilators vs. an AC unit. It's very worth it for the amount of comfort it affords. I appreciate being able to think about things besides how overheated I am on a warm day.
r/germany • Are there actually any portable a.c units that don't suck? ->Came here to say this. Mine has already been making this summer way more bearable than the last. Very quiet and efficient too.
r/germany • Are there actually any portable a.c units that don't suck? ->No, that's literally the point of it versus a regular split unit. It's designed to be mounted at a window without modification. It comes with a kit to temporarily seal up the opening while in use and it works pretty well.
r/germany • Are there actually any portable a.c units that don't suck? ->For that amount of money I would have just bought a Midea PortaSplit which is very likely gonna heavily outperform this thing. Edit: And with the Midea you dont have to buy any extras because it's all included (window covers for example)
r/germany • Are there actually any portable a.c units that don't suck? ->There are 3 levels of AC: "cheap" ones with a air-hose going out the window (probably what you saw). They are cheap to buy, but very expensive to run, as they are really inefficient. 10hours on a super hot day can easily be 3-4 Eur – imagine that over a hot summer. They work fine for small rooms and if you just want to cool it down occasionally. I use one to cool down the bedroom on maybe 10 days a year to sleep better. Next level are portable split ones. Once device inside, one device outside, connected with a thin hose to connect them. There are small ones, often used in camping vans. For at home the "Midea PortaSplit" has become the most popular one. Costs quite a bit more but is much more efficient and powerful and a lot cheaper to run. This is what you want for regular use. The best option would be a real AC to be installed, again two devices but with fixed connection through the wall. No open window (leaking cold air), and again more efficient and powerful. The devices are actually not so expensive, it's the installation (and first getting permission from the landlord if you have one), that is the more difficult and expensive part.
->Here in Germany (where fixed ACs in rentals are really, really uncommon) the best recommendation is something like a Midea PortaSplit. They work significantly better than the traditional all in one devices and are worth every penny imho
r/Appliances • Are large portable ACs worth it for cooling big open spaces in a large home? ->Nö, is schmutz.
->I have the Midea Porta Split. I love it. Easy to set up, quiet, efficient, manages to keep my top floor flat at a comfortable temperature. Have had it only for about a month though, so there's that..
r/Switzerland • Todays weather has pushed me to buy a mobile Air conditioning unit. ->Like one of those cheap portable stand-up fans on max. Also worth considering, it will dump water on your balcony, as the nature of AC units goes. Imo it's a great device. Cheapest at hornbach, 900.- well spent.
r/Switzerland • Todays weather has pushed me to buy a mobile Air conditioning unit. ->Yes it does. Just something to be aware of :) it comes with a ton of options to setup and install, imo a great deal.
r/Switzerland • Todays weather has pushed me to buy a mobile Air conditioning unit. ->The best one for sureeee, my best friend today
r/germany • Are there actually any portable a.c units that don't suck? ->The only right answer. Installed Portasplit two weeks ago. Life changer for top floor apartment. Maintaining steady 23 degrees thoroughout the day (and night)
r/germany • Are there actually any portable a.c units that don't suck? ->wow didn't know that. as soon as I've seen "app" in the docs I stopped reading as I hate apps for every single thing. I ordered meter reader from Amazon and will compare with whatever app throws out. thanks! \>It's very worth it for the amount of comfort it affords. I appreciate being able to think about things besides how overheated I am on a warm day. honestly previous three summers were terrible. headache whole day because of heat, poor sleep, sweat.. basically 2 months of constant headache and zero focus on anything barring few days when it rained. Portasplit is life saver
r/germany • Are there actually any portable a.c units that don't suck? ->Midea PortaSplit is the best one you can get!
r/Switzerland • Todays weather has pushed me to buy a mobile Air conditioning unit. ->Mobile split ACs (such as the Midea PortaSplit or Climia CMK 4000) are the only ones that don't suck. There are also regular mobile ACs with two hoses instead of one. Those are worse (and louder) than a mobile split AC, but significantly better than a single-hose one. That said, I don't think they're still being produced (at least for the European market), so you'd have to get it pre-owned. The only model that comes to mind is the Trotec PAC 3550 Pro. You could also convert a cheap single-hose one yourself, but you'd risk breaking it, if you do it wrong
r/germany • Are there actually any portable a.c units that don't suck?
->The Midea Porta Split is the best, it is also out of stock everywhere and x3 the normal price right now.
r/askswitzerland • Any AC portable recommendations?
->Fucking preach. I just got it delivered yesterday and it such an awesome product. It will make my summer Homeoffice days a breeze, pun intended.
r/germany • Are there actually any portable a.c units that don't suck? ->Die Midea Portasplit ist wirklich spitze!
r/wohnen • Mobile Klimaanlage in Dachgeschoss ->Könnte man.
->Same here. Do NOT buy an "AC" with just one hose leading out of the window. The Portasplit is less noisy, and more efficient! The only issue might be that you won't get one at the moment.
r/askswitzerland • Any AC portable recommendations? ->We have the big Midea portable oval hose heat pump and love it. But we live in a moist climate so we installed it on a box and put a condensate pump inside the box. It heats down to -5C so we subsidize an old furnace. It will be replaced by a mini-split next year.
r/AirConditioners • Need your recommendations to find the right portable AC unit. ->I just put the Midea back in the window over the weekend, though it's the more expensive one Costco sold in 2023 with the heater. It's a bit loud when the condenser kicks in depending on mode but did the job. Had a second Midea like the one you linked last summer and the Dry function didn't work. Called Midea and they said to take it back to Costco and get my money back, no questions asked. What's your room size? One is 12,000 and the other is only 8,000. You don't want it too big for your room.
r/Costco • Comparing the Midea vs Hisense portable AC units? ->I just put the Midea back in the window over the weekend, though it's the more expensive one Costco sold in 2023 with the heater. It's a bit loud when the condenser kicks in depending on mode but did the job. Had a second Midea like the one you linked last summer and the Dry function didn't work. You don't want it too big for your room.
r/Costco • Comparing the Midea vs Hisense portable AC units? ->Depending on the diameter of the hose get a 1"x 10" board for about $10 and cut your own hose hole and screw the included window kit to it so it has the hose retaining bracket. My Midea 12k portable AC/HP has an oval dual hose in hose system that is 12" wide by 8" tall and I used a 1" thick piece of dense Polyisocyanurate Board Insulation from Lowes, $30 for an 8 foot sheet. I did not use the window kit that came with it as I pushed the hose out the window an aimed it down so it would not suck in freezing rain or snow.
r/AirConditioners • Portable AC for 58" Window ->I just bought one ironically. I have a 3-car garage that faces the afternoon sun. Bought a 12000BTU AC from Costco and it can’t really keep up, but does a good enough job bringing it down to around 82f. The problem is that it’s drawing 14A and I have only one circuit to my garage so bigger is not an option without doing some electrical work
r/orlando • Anyone have a portable AC in their garage? ->Have both of these... The 8k Hisense has a quiet mode that slows down the fan. If your room is borderline too big for 8k it may not be able to keep temp in this mode but it is genuinely quiet. The 12k Midea does not have this mode. In addition, when the inverter kicks on it really is quite the kick. It's also a bit bassy while it's spooling up. If you are a light sleeper it will wake you up.
r/Costco • Comparing the Midea vs Hisense portable AC units? ->I got this same unit for the same price, but mine has this constant rattle sound. Does anyone have any experience with this and have a way to fix it? I'd rather not return it because frankly it was a huge pain in the ass to get home.
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->I have it in my living room right now with vaulted ceilings. Keeps it 72 at 100 degrees outside so far
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->Ive been using it for few days and honestly it is mindblowing... very quite
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->I have this to cool my living room, dining room, and kitchen. There are no doors between these rooms so it works great. Each bedroom has the midea U (except for the 4 year old, she just gets an el cheapo unit that only runs for a couple hours at bedtime)
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good?
->I paid $450 for it. It's been running throughout the day in 90F degree. Able to keep my room (110sqft) steady at 75F. Electricity average around $2/day. Worth it.
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->For 1 room its good. Don't get ambitious tho. That thing don't do shit in a living room.
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->Midea. It’s awesome! Expensive but portable and awesome.
A fürdőben lévő szellőzőn keresztül lehozta a cigiszagot a felsőszomszédtól aki bent bagózott a lakásban.
->I am using a Toshiba and a Midea in the house. Toshiba must be a subsidiary of Midea because the Midea Smart Home app can recognize and control the Toshiba portable unit as well. I use the app to control the units remotely.
r/AirConditioners • Best Smart Portable AC Unit? ->It keeps our small bedroom cool but it got full of mold in 6 months. I tried to remove the casing to clean the mold but it’s just in a really inaccessible spot deep in the cold air vent.
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good?
->I bought one a few months ago and it’s great
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->I have a portable AC from Midea. Bought it for $500 from Sam’s club, cut a hole in the bottom of my garage door and made it clip in there. I live in South Fl so the garage gets super hot, with this running I can get the whole garage down the low 70’s maybe 68,69 with a fan helping blow it around. I don’t use it all the time so I also made a piece of wood as a block off so I can take the exhaust hose off and close up the hole I made. Haven’t insulated the door yet but it’s on my list to do lol.
r/orlando • Anyone have a portable AC in their garage? ->I love my Midea so much better than the onboard one. It only draws about 750 watts when on full blast, and my understanding is that it only fires up its compressor when the outdoor temperature is warm. I like that it gently “rolls” up the fan to higher intensity. The downside is that it has a tough time cooling my 27 foot TT when it gets into the upper 80s or 90s. Then I have to run my on board and the Midea. I get so frustrated with my 1600 watt onboard unit that is super loud and has to run its compressor and fan just to maintain a few degrees below outdoors. Not to mention my inverter gets very hot running close to 2.0k. Another downside is that the Midea is a pain to take out of the window if you move, but I’m parked. Don’t buy those trash hose ones. They’re very inefficient and can’t dump the heat very well. I’ve tried them and I’m lucky if they can drop the camper 10 degrees after hours of operation.
r/RVLiving • Portable Air Conditioners ->We have Mideas! I'm in the suburbs on a fairly quiet street, so I don't know if I can say definitively if the sound is less than a typical a/c, but I'd imagine it's less. It's a great a/c unit regardless, it runs so much quieter than a regular one. If I'm doing a quick audition I'll leave it on (I turn it off for paid gigs), which I could never do with our old a/c units. I would think you could throw some insulation blankets over it if it feels like it's too loud. Good luck -- stay cool!
r/voiceover • Midea air conditioner ->Unfortunately did not install mine until after the Amazon return window ended and I had collapsed the box. I had emails with them back and forth about the smell, assuming that it was covered under the warranty. They were not very helpful. In fact they were very dismissive and told me to get someone to clean it (almost as expensive as the air conditioner) or clean it myself (which I believe would void the warranty) so I used the wick trick to drain water from the a/c and purchased an extended warranty.
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->I do have a Costco membership now. Costco is so much easier to deal with than Amazon. A much better company. I would never spend that much money on anything at Amazon ever again!! I just sent an email for my refund and forwarded my support communication along with it. I doubt I can get my extended warranty refunded.
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->I used to have 2 of these. 1 never cooled right out of the box. The other one had its hose cracked after 2 summers. Would I buy another? No. But it may work out ok for you so ymmv.
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->Yes, I returned it because the hose is just so big and very awkward to get into a window. That’s the only drawback I think. I have four of the Midea U-shape units and overall I prefer those.
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->Bought one 2 days ago. Works good but makes a terrible high frequency sound and I have to run the fan on high to drown it out. So be warned.
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->I just got this same unit, it was keeping our living room a real nice 75 degrees, on some 95 degree outside days...this was about a week long stint...but today it will NOT get COLD, and room temp is going up and up. Pretty bummed because its a nice unit, quiet, powerful when it was working.
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->Looks to be the same model except in white. It's a very good deal. If your only option is a portable AC, this model is the second best model you can get. The only thing better is the same device which comes with a heat pump. The same machine (rebranded as Toshiba) is also sold at Home Depot and can be cheaper sometimes though not as cheap as the current deal.
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->Had great success with their window units. They really pump and are some of the quietest ones available. I have these 2 of these exact portable units and one fills up with condensation and has to be drained every 15 minutes. I ended up having to jury rig a constant drain hose to it and it works fine but I’ve never had to do that with a portable before. Support was crap. Just said “it has to have a drain hose connected when running in dry mode” even though I told them repeatedly it was not in dry mode. It was in “cool mode” which isn’t even mentioned in the generic users manual. Honestly I’d avoid this portable unit and get something else. If a window unit is an option I found both their traditional and u shaped window units to be fantastic.
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->Yes I put this in my rental property and it works wonderfully
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->I have this one! Although I paid 2x (in CAD). It works great for my 450sqft apartment and I've had it for 2 years now.
r/AirConditioners • Midea portable AC at Costco $350, is it good? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
