"I have it in my living room right now with vaulted ceilings. Keeps it 72 at 100 degrees outside so far"
"I live in South Fl so the garage gets super hot, with this running I can get the whole garage down the low 70’s maybe 68,69 with a fan helping blow it around."
"I have that unit and absolutely love it for its cooling power to noise output."

"It's a great a/c unit regardless, it runs so much quieter than a regular one. ... If I'm doing a quick audition I'll leave it on (I turn it off for paid gigs), which I could never do with our old a/c units."
"very quite"

"Never had to yet."
"And no water drain!!!"

"It's a very good deal. ... The same machine (rebranded as Toshiba) is also sold at Home Depot and can be cheaper sometimes though not as cheap as the current deal."
"Electricity average around $2/day."

"I returned it because the hose is just so big and very awkward to get into a window."

"I had emails with them back and forth about the smell, assuming that it was covered under the warranty. They were not very helpful. In fact they were very dismissive and told me to get someone to clean it (almost as expensive as the air conditioner) or clean it myself (which I believe would void the warranty)"
"Support was crap. ... Just said “it has to have a drain hose connected when running in dry mode” even though I told them repeatedly it was not in dry mode. ... It was in “cool mode” which isn’t even mentioned in the generic users manual."
"Unfortunately did not install mine until after the Amazon return window ended and I had collapsed the box. I had emails with them back and forth about the smell, assuming that it was covered under the warranty. They were not very helpful. In fact they were very dismissive and told me to get someone to clean it (almost as expensive as the air conditioner) or clean it myself (which I believe would void the warranty) so I used the wick trick to drain water from the a/c and purchased an extended warranty. ... I don't understand why they would have created an AC that didn't drain. ... My brother has two of them, one of which is full of mold"

"it got full of mold in 6 months ... I tried to remove the casing to clean the mold but it’s just in a really inaccessible spot deep in the cold air vent."

"one fills up with condensation and has to be drained every 15 minutes. ... I ended up having to jury rig a constant drain hose to it and it works fine but I’ve never had to do that with a portable before."

"1 never cooled right out of the box."
"but today it will NOT get COLD, and room temp is going up and up."
"That thing don't do shit in a living room."
I just put the Midea back in the window over the weekend, though it's the more expensive one Costco sold in 2023 with the heater. It's a bit loud when the condenser kicks in depending on mode but did the job. Had a second Midea like the one you linked last summer and the Dry function didn't work. Called Midea and they said to take it back to Costco and get my money back, no questions asked. What's your room size? One is 12,000 and the other is only 8,000. You don't want it too big for your room.
I got this same unit for the same price, but mine has this constant rattle sound. Does anyone have any experience with this and have a way to fix it? I'd rather not return it because frankly it was a huge pain in the ass to get home.
Got the same one from costco and makes gaming in my upstairs office cool during the hottest days of summer! And no water drain!!!
350? Shit this unit was like 450 at my Costco. Returned for a swamp cooler, its colorado so swamp cooler works wonders.
I have it in my living room right now with vaulted ceilings. Keeps it 72 at 100 degrees outside so far
The Midea can pull 1200W easily when it's cooling the flat down on boost mode. Normally it's running around 300-500W when keeping the temperature stable. 24° 65m2.
Ours from ALDI is loud and weak. I set up a Midea unit for a friend and that is a beast! I was amazed.
Midea has a great unit. Bought mine last year from Costco online for delivery.
Ive been using it for few days and honestly it is mindblowing... very quite
I have this to cool my living room, dining room, and kitchen. There are no doors between these rooms so it works great. Each bedroom has the midea U (except for the 4 year old, she just gets an el cheapo unit that only runs for a couple hours at bedtime)
