I have the Home Depot version that has the heat pump, it works stunningly well, it’s skinny but about 5 ft tall, it’s on the heavy side but I love it and it’s very quiet.

It’s labeled under the Vissani brand because I got it from Home Depot but it’s essentially a Hisense everywhere else and at Costco. Should be available in Canada. It’s a dual hose inverter heat pump. It cools my living room and a bit of the dining room and hallway. The airflow is amazing because of the tower design. All other portable acs have only that small vent on top and it’s vertical tilting so the air is going just up and down towards ceiling. You can actually feel the air from this one though. I’m not sure if there is a larger BTU, but 8,000 seems to be adequate and it should work for your smaller apartment. So much better than my single hose unit it makes you wonder why they even sell those it should be illegal.

Updated : hello !👋🏽 I want to ask what is anyone’s options for portable AC for the soon to be hot weather at NY . I have a Vissani portable AC for two years now from Home Depot but the installation was not easy despite having instructions and it was so nosy and leak twice despite I have not put too much power on it but it was definitely doing the job. Im planning to sell it to get a new ones. If anyone has an opinion of smart apps option too could work but not required I would really appreciate it ! Thanks you everyone !
