I've had a single one for about 6 months. I use it as my anywhere speaker. I own a Rave Neo 2 for heavier lifting when I need louder sound. I am astonished at the battery life, clarity, punchy mids, water resistance, and price. I paid $19 on Amazon but would gladly pay $40, too. It floats in a tub and pool with no permanent damage, ive confirmed. It really is a well rounded speaker in every direction. I use an EQ I found on a thread here. I'll give credit to the poster if I can find it again. This made a massive difference balancing the strengths and weaknesses of this wonderrul mini speaker. https://preview.redd.it/0yddjuf5j2xg1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=289723e88e12a08aee6d54f7a38b9487d1a7e368
For a 5 watt speaker and under $30, they do sound incredible. When you find the right sale you can get two for $40. These punch WAY above their price and size. Granted, you're not getting lossless or high resolution audio from these but MOST people, audiophiles excluded, will be very satisfied.
Soundcore Select 4 Go. $20 and absolutely kills everything in its class and price range. I have two and in stereo they are pretty damned amazing.
I have a pair of the select 4 Go's. A guy at my work has a pair of the JBL Go's. We compared them and the soundcore smoke the JBL's. More volume, deeper bass, clearer mids and highs. He couldn't believe it when he heard the soundcores.
I have a pair of Soundcore 2 speakers and I can safely say that they do not have big subwoofers or intense bass. It sounds like you want a speaker with no bass. I can't imagine enjoying listening to speaker with less bass than a Soundcore 2. I want thick bass, great mids, and clear highs. I also have an Oontz Angle 3 and it has virtually zero bass, I mean it gives the illusion of bass but it really doesn't have bass. I like the bass on my pair of Uboom L's in tws mode and my Soundcore Boom 2 (which delivers more bass than it should, which I love).
Hell I didn't even add. I have a pair Soundcore Select 4 GO's, they are amazing little speakers, you dial in the eq in the app and pretty much dial in zero bass. They are great as a stereo pair, and have respectable bass if eq'd for it. I really like them as a stereo pair of extremely portable small good sounding speakers. They can get loud and still sound clean and clear when. You want it. But they don't have chest thumping bass. But there is enough bass to satisfy if you want it. Costco has them for $29.99 a pair right now. They go for around $25 for one on Amazon most of the time. Very good speakers and they sound great.
I have a pair of Select 4 Go's and a pair of the Micro 2's. The Micro 2's are best thing to ever happen to small speakers. The bass and volume they have is incredible. The select 4 GO's are good, but no where near the Micro 2's in sound quality, volume, bass and clarity. 5 stars.
Yep, for the price the Select 4 go is a hell of a speaker. They are well made and have really good sound quality. I got mine for $20 each and can't complain.
How does it compare to the select 4 go? I have a pair the select 4 Go's and they are pretty amazing for the price and size. Do these have more bass and volume?
I'd just get a pair of Soundcore Select 4 GO's and run them in stereo and call it a day. Amazing little speakers and a pair is around $40.
I've had speakers which claim to be 10-30 watts, and by far none of those have compared to 2, 5 watt speakers I've owned, one being a "ProOne PSB4315 SK12", and the other a "soundcore select go 4", point is; power rating rarely indicates the quality, unless it's a good 5-10x the power
One Soundcore sounds better than one JBL speaker, and it's half the price, so you can buy 2 if you want to
As I said, a single Soundcore Select 4 Go sounds better than the other speakers you suggested before.
I personally use Soundcore Select 4 Go. Small but mighty. Tune the eq to your liking. It is a solid piece of hardware
Listen up, you won't find better advice than this: for hikes, buy a small, lightweight speaker like the Soundcore Select 4 Go, and for gatherings in the park or on the beach, buy an EarFun UBOOM X. That way, you'll have a speaker that's very easy to transport and one that is powerful and sounds sensational, all within your budget.
