Anker makes the soundcore mini and despite its cheap price tag it’s actually quite formidable. A wee bit smaller than a mini rig but not by a lot. I’ve used it tons as hidden fx speakers in various prop applications like crying baby dolls or music boxes. Plays music pretty decently. Never for strictly human voice reproduction so ymmv but it is decently loud

If you want really cheap options then I would suggest aux in/bluetooth speakers like the anker soundcore mini. I recently bought several of these for a portable setup. There is the minirig 4 but its pricey.

At the end I got the Anker SoundCore Mini. It has radio FM, micro SD card, and bluetooth. It has +/-/play buttons. Holding +/- allows skipping backward and forward. Not ideal in in terms of buttons, but good enough. An alternative from a not-well-known brand is the Sonkir speaker.

It's fair for the small size of the speaker. I still haven't tested it much, in particular in telerms of bass. I also have a soundcore motion plus and the quality is clearly higher on this bigger one.

My Anker Soundcore has been going strong since 2018. My inlaws Bose on the other hand... they're on their second one in a year less than mine and their new one doesn't hold a charge for more than 30min

I had a soundcore since then and replaced it this week. The light didn’t work and the bluetooth switching between devices was clunky (remove readd, turn off all paired devices bluetooth but the one you want on power on) but otherwise battery is still incredible and it works. Went with the soundcore 3 and it’s fixed those gripes plus it’s usb 3 and a lot louder / better quality sound

Ok if you are looking for smaller and portable Bluetooth I have the anker sound core. Which sounds ok and is battery powered and the ikea eneby. Also not bad but not in the same league as the ik multimedia.

It's a tiny Bluetooth speaker, their best selling iirc called the sound core. I got it for $20 and it sounds good for it's size. Not audiophile but it gets the job done

I've had more luck with Anker's Soundcore line than any of the 'premium' brands

This. Got mine for $50 from Walmart like 14 years ago and the thing refuses to die. It’s been knocked off the shelf by the cat at least a hundred times now too. The sound is decent enough (not amazing but not tinny or severely lacking in low ranges) and it’s supposedly waterproof, though I’ve never tested that. The pairing is reliable and has worked with at least a dozen devices, which is more than I can say for a lot of Bluetooth devices I’ve used. Anker just makes solid stuff.

I have an Anker Soundcore speaker that we use outside all the time but it's pretty large and would hate to lug it around for work. It's awesome so was looking at some of their smaller ones.
