Anker makes the soundcore mini and despite its cheap price tag it’s actually quite formidable. A wee bit smaller than a mini rig but not by a lot. I’ve used it tons as hidden fx speakers in various prop applications like crying baby dolls or music boxes. Plays music pretty decently. Never for strictly human voice reproduction so ymmv but it is decently loud.
At the end I got the Anker SoundCore Mini. It has radio FM, micro SD card, and bluetooth. It has +/-/play buttons. Holding +/- allows skipping backward and forward. Not ideal in in terms of buttons, but good enough. An alternative from a not-well-known brand is the Sonkir speaker.
It's fair for the small size of the speaker. I still haven't tested it much, in particular in telerms of bass. I also have a soundcore motion plus and the quality is clearly higher on this bigger one.
I’ve been using the Anker soundcore. Good price and great audio quality.
Not entirely sure but if pop in anker soundcore on amazon you’ll find the portable speaker. It’s usually on a deal between 25-30
I have two of the soundcore speakers for stereo sound and they are awesome. Use them outside and on the beach and the screens have some rust on them but the sound is still great. Only had them 4 years and no problems.
Ok if you are looking for smaller and portable Bluetooth I have the anker sound core. Which sounds ok and is battery powered and the ikea eneby. Also not bad but not in the same league as the ik multimedia.
Headphones or an Anker sound core haha
It's a tiny Bluetooth speaker, their best selling iirc called the sound core. I got it for $20 and it sounds good for it's size. Not audiophile but it gets the job done
I just got the soundcore and it is insane for $22. It just sounds great and has good battery life
The Soundcore is great for its size and price.
That's solid advice about the Sangean radios, those things are tanks. The U4 especially punches way above its weight for the price Just wanted to add that some of the newer Anker Soundcore speakers actually have decent build quality if OP wants something more portable, but yeah you're spot on about most combo units being hot garbage. The separate transmitter route is definitely the move for the earbud situation
