Get a B&O A1 1st gen for warmer sound or 2nd gen for more clear sound. They can be found very cheap on the second hand market, especially the 1st gen. Battery is easy to replace and not expensive. Sonos Roam 2 is trash
I really don't like the beolit 20. I like the sound of my Vifa Helsinki much more even though it's an older speaker and a lot cheaper now. Check some B&O a1 series, each one has a different sound type, for small portable bt speakers For medium size, Devialet Mania,a reboxed unit was around 500€ in my country just recently. 500 or under it's a good price, not the 800-900€ or how much they ask for it on most sites. For bigger sizes, i dont think you have many options,in a reasonable amount of money. The b&o a5 but it can get quite expensive sometimes. *I wouldn't call these audiophile speakers, high quality Bluetooth speakers would be a more suited name.
Check my post here about the b&o A1 line ,if you want something small but powerful. If this is not enough, the charge 5 is very cheap, ult field 5 is 120€ for a refurb in my country, marshal middleton 2 is also quite good, but around 170-200€ you can check my review about it.
It’s old tech now but still holds up: - LG PF50KS (or KA/KG) mini projector - Two Beoplay A1 (1st Gen with 3.5mm input) - Modified Y 3.5mm splitter into L&R channels for the A1 speakers in stereo to avoid Bluetooth latency. - Apple TV or Roku stick, something like that. All can be powered with USB-C. (except Apple TV) And then hope you have a good white wall to project on to.
Check out the Bang & Olufsen Beosound A1. A true 2 way speaker, IMO this is a rather high fidelity bluetooth speaker when compared to many other models that may use full range drivers.
I have compared A1 and Emberton ii... the A1 has a more refined sound, and even more clarity, especially in upper frequencies. Also more balanced, sometimes Emberton will hit peaks and get pitchy. But Marshall adds a "reverb" color to most of their speakers so that's not surprising, and can sound more "fun" w/ certain genres. Emberton can get way louder. I own a Stockwell ii which is just super pleasant for low volumes, and has more balance than the Emberton also.
Beosound A1 is worth a look. Especially since the 3rd gen one is actually repairable.
I have a Beosound A1. Fantastic sound and long lasting battery. Pricy but worth it IMO
