r/Bluetooth_SpeakersNeed a Bluetooth speaker that sounds good at low volumes—any recs?

I tried several models during my search - Bose SL Flex (1 Gen), UE Hyperboom 4 and B&O Explore. The Bose by far sounded the best (out of the box - there’s no EQ) then the others (with EQ). I believe the 1st Gen can get a bit lower bass than Gen 2. If you can get a refurbished gen 1 direct from Bose it’s a pretty good price! If you get a pair I’m sure it will sound even better. I enjoy EDM and beats that have a bit more thump. Obviously the low, lows won’t produce in this size of speaker but the mid thumps are definitely there. For the size, the Bose (IMO) is the best sounding.

Bose SL Flex 2 is a great unit, especially at the price point. B&O lower end models are unfortunately lacking in the bass department but their directivity is damn good. Personally the UE models weren’t all that great. I appreciate a better range versus directivity which is why I went with the Bose. For the size, I would say the Bose has the deepest bass for the size while handling mids and treble well. I tried: UE Megaboom 4, B&O Explore, Bose SL Flex

r/Bluetooth_SpeakersBluetooth speaker ear piercing and agressive treble?

Okay thank you, i was looking for sony xb 23 the 2017 version but i think it have harsh treble too, and the Beosound explore dont have harsh treble but it has 0 bass, i listen usually to hip hop and EDM I'm an bass lover lol Also the altec lansig Hydra ( harsh treble too) Idk i'm listening all day on my bose companion 2 serie iii wired speaker on my pc and the treble never bleed my ears so the issue is not my ears but majority of bleutooth speaker have treble distorsion and become agressive to the ears On rratings the bose soundlink micro dont have spike on the high frequency graphic but i need to test it in store to be sure

I've never heard the A1 so I can't pass judgement on that. The explore has a nice sound for it's size, it's well made and the battery lasts for ages. I got mine for camping as it's nice and rugged as well as being waterproof

I have a pair of Beosound explore's the sound quality is great but I wouldn't say they give off deep bass. That's partly why I got myself a Harmon Kardon aura studio 4 but that's definitely something you dont want to carry around with you.

I’d say it’s not worth it. Mine was a factory refurb for $390 (u.s.), which was a damned good deal. This country’s situation right now is fucking absurd, and likely won’t change any time soon. I have B&O A1s (pair) and love them, had the Explore and loved its looks, but not its sound.

I’m very happy with my Naim Muso 2 as a home system. For travels, I have a BeoSound Explore.
