There’s a few options. The Roland cube is kinda the standard. They used to run on AA batteries so that was cool. Long day just change the batteries. Idk what they use know. But there’s also been additional entries in recent years. Roland rolled down their OG 10w version to boss who they also own. https://www.boss.info/global/products/cube_street_2/ But they make now 50 watt version called the ex. https://www.roland.com/us/products/cube_street_ex/ I think these look low tech and don’t scream valuable so they’re safer in some ways. There’s also the Bose s1 pro+ for the same money. This is internal battery but kinda slick. Knows where it is and changes eq based on monitor stand or floor and also has wireless guitar add ons and also wireless mic. Etc. https://www.bose.com/p/portable-pa/s1-pro-wireless-pa-system/S1PROP-SPEAKERWIRELESS.html so can be nice upscale version as long as you’re not going to be In Shady spaces where you might get your gear jacked. Also pairs with another easily. It will by itself also fill a small room on a pole stand. And is a great Bluetooth speaker for parties. 5 hr charge on battery. Bose says 150w. I think it’s more like 50wx3 channels but could be… it’s nice and loud. might find any of these used. And that’s ok. Other than that EV makes a basic battery speaker (ev makes good stuff) and JBL does as well. There’s some older Mackie shit that works ok. To me JBL and mackie are… Meh. Good luck! Powered versions of the line 6 and fishmans mini arrays are great speakers if you can find them. Then use a portable battery pack. That’s getting pricey though https://shop-us.line6.com/hardware/legacy-gear/live-sound/stagesource-l2t-portable-loudspeaker-system/ Fishman looks just like it they pop up Used. They’re not made anymore I don’t think. But they sound decent.

Idk, I think a PA might actually be overkill. I’ve tried a Bose S1 Pro+, which didn’t sound particularly stunning or full unless it was cranked up to very loud levels. At the level it sounded good to me, I would also have to be blasting on the horn. They’re also a wee bit too large for where I’d like to be going.

I've used the Bose S1 Pro+ on outdoor gigs. They're really powerful for the size.

JBL EON One Compact or Bose S1 Pro+, in stereo pair they can output a decent amount into the crowd (make sure to use a speaker stand to place the speaker just above the head of the crowd). I own the JBL EON One Compact and have used the Bose S1 Pro+. JBL EON One Compact: * Sound: Low end frequencies does not do well in low volume but really shines when you crank it up. I have received compliments from bass heads on the output of this speaker. Highly recommend to raise the low-end EQ higher. Of course, this wont truly replace a subwoofer, so settle your expectations. * Smartphone App: The initial JBL Connect app sucked, they have released the **new** JBL Pro Connect which addresses (through a firmware update) some of the earlier issues with the unit, such as: triggering the limiter early, true wireless stereo glitches, and they have added fader lock! * Portability: Really easy to carry, nothing more to say * Interfaces: XLR and TRS combo input, bluetooth capable, AUX in, TRS audio out, the first XLR/TRS combo input has phantom power for microphones (remember not to plug in your deck to this input, use channel 2). * Wireless connectivity: Through Bluetooth only, you can use True Wireless Stereo to have two of the units play in stereo.

As a gigging musician who plays a lot of small events with 50-100 people, the S1 battery powered mini PA is actually excellent. It is about 12 lbs, can play for 4 hours, takes about 30 minutes to recharge, has 3 inputs, bluetooth, sounds fine, disperses well. The newer version sounds a bit better and has a very handy wireless connector, which I used last night to play inside and pipe the sound to a patio through a wall. I am not a fan of their "line array" PAs and the S1 does not have a lot of volume on tap, but for rather modest sound needs, it really is an amazing product that has a bunch of features that no one was putting in one product. What I do is pretty niche but damn this thing is handy. I hear the Everse is louder and has more bass but it's not essential for me.

Bose S1+ is what I bought that meets these requirements. It’s also very expensive. If you don’t need portability, then just get studio monitors like Yamaha HS5’s.
