"it sounds fucking amazing. ... I was blown away at Best Buy. I thought this was fake somehow like there is no way this thing is producing that bass and that level. ... The speaker is phenomenal. ... At first it was almost too bass heavy; but after an hour or two of playtime it broke in and the mids came alive, without loosing any bass. ... it still sounds fucking incredible."
"It's the most bass and clearest audio you'll get out of something this compact and easy to carry."
"the Bose sounds terrific for pretty much every genre I've hit it with, including Bass-heavy EDM."

"If you want portable that you can take outdoors and get wet, check out the Bose Soundlink Max and Soundlink Flex. I have the flex and take it paddleboarding and camping and love it! Bonus: it floats!"
"it's less portable than the bose flex. ... it can fit into a pocket. That's a great achievement for bose."

"Also, you can get a 2nd one and play them in stereo. ... I am not exaggerating: if I got another, I could put them on either side of my tv and that would be my home theater."
"you can link two of them to run in stereo which sounds way better and louder than a single speaker"
"I liked mine so much that I bought a second one to pair with my original. They're pretty stupendous! ... so you can afford to buy two and pair them up. They're damned detailed, go loud, and a pair really opens up the soundstage."

"I'm currently using them on a sailboat (Ericson 30+), and they sound great in the cabin down below as well as up in the cockpit when I'm sailing offshore (Pacific) or in San Francisco Bay."
"one on its own is my favorite travel speakers. ... It goes with me everywhere I'm staying overnight or for longer periods of time."
"I kept my Bose Flex 2, and added another one, and LOVE them paired or solo. ... They go traveling with me everywhere."

"It sucks that both the Flex 2 and the Home are mono speakers. ... It's ridiculous to charge these prices and not even having stereo."
"the bose always sounds muddy and closed in due to it being mono"
"if it has any chance of being stereo it does a bad job at it"

"Avoid the Bose Flex Gen 2 and Bose Max. They have parisitic battery drain of 10-20% per week. ... These Bose will be dead in 2 months after a full charge. ... The units I have are brand new and no firmware update, because the previous returns had the new firmware updated and the drain was even worse. ... This is about as scientific as you can make it. Test every 7 days from 100% and watch it deplete to unuseable in 2 months. ... There's a huge thread about this subject from many Bose customers. Bose knows about it. Acknowledges it. Does NOTHING about it except offer you an exchange. ... Never seen anything like this in other BT brands. I have an old Sony BT speaker that I haven't touched in 2 years and can still play music!"
"The Bose Flex has a standby battery drain issue. It'll eat 30% a week"
"The Flex is down to 50% in just a few weeks. Not good, Bose."

"not very loud ... can't get really really loud"

"I tried the Bose sound link flex gen 2 with USB aptX adaptive I could still see the video was out of sync."
"this would be wasted potential for this setup ... The is often a delay with bluetooth, annoying when watching movies."
Good choice, currently my best speaker is a Bose Soundlink Max, pretty unbeatable. Do you use the equalizer though? How much can you increment the bass practically? Because i was looking for a Soundlink Flex 1st gen but the equalizer just calls my atention on the 2nd gen because i love heavy bass, and that's exactly what the Soundlink Max delivers with the equalizer. Though it distorts a lot past 70% volume, does that happen with the Flex?
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • New Xiaomi bluetooth speaker ->Why only 3 options? I'm a fan of the bose flex 2 currently. Its very portable, its durable, has good bass, gets loud and you can link two of them to run in stereo which sounds way better and louder than a single speaker.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Help me choose the BEST portable speaker (BASE on your own experience) ->Uboom X, it now on sale for only 92 dolar. Its a great speaker. Especially for this price. If you like deep bass, good mids and highs this is a great pick. Fast charging trough ucb c. Powerbank for your phone. Great eq possibilities. Loud sound with deep bass. Ip67. Pair it till 50 speakers. Aux in. The bose soundlink flex 2 is a great speaker. Portable, good deep sound. It will sound a lot bigger than it is. Ip67. Usb c charging. Great build quality. 3 band eq trough the bose app. Durable rock solid design. Fantastic color options.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best budget portable speaker with great sound quality?(Under $150) ->Bose soundlink flex 2 has great bass for on the go. Especially for it's size. If you play with the eq in the bose app and put it in the corner. It sounds way bigger that it's size. Earfun Uboom X is also great. Its larger but almost the same price as the bose. The bass on it is fantastic. Devialet Mania is an wonderful sounding speaker. Big bass, great highs, and a big price haha 😉 Jbl flip 7 or charge 6 are great for outdoor usage.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Smallest BT speaker with Best Bass response? ->SR2 is amazing, sounds so musical and crisp. Second to none. Bose Flex 2nd, amazing bass and warm tone, but not very loud, I think they made effort to be distortion free, so it's bassy and clear but can't get really really loud. 3rd place is the Wonderboom 4, omg, this little F is punchy and loud, you can feel the bass and did I say loud? This is like waking up neighborhood loud! Only season it's behind SR2 and Bose is because both are more musical and realistic then the WB4, if you are into any kind of remix, dance, EDM, and mainly use it at party then WB4 is #1.... Mostly disappointing premium speaker is the Homepod Mini 2, gorgeous design and build, not very loud, sound pretty good, no as good as Sonos, not as loud as Sonos, not even close to WB4 in loudness. Had to return the Apple Homepod Mini 2 after 1 night. I am loving my new Sonos Roam 1, got it new for $80!!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The Best Bluetooth Speakers in 2025? ->Bose Soundlink Max... I have the little Soundlink Flex 2 and it already sounds serious for its size... I can't imagine the Max...
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What’s a good portable speaker with a LOT of bass? ->Xiaomi Sound Pocket is a bit amazing (for my scooter 🛴) Bose SoundLink Flex 2 also, for a small house 🏠 I'm happy with both, excellent sound 🙀🤗👍
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Suggestions to buy a bluetooth speaker for myself. ->Very happy with the UE Boom 2 for 10 years but replaced by the Bose SoundLink Flex 2 which delivers very pleasant sound (if you lower the bass a notch with the 3-band equalizer) and a small Xiaomi Sound Pocket 5w for less than €20, very satisfactory for my electric scooter 🛴
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Is it worth getting a small speaker when I already got a UE boom 2 for portability? ->I find it hard to say bad things about one or the other. I've always liked the neutrality, spaciousness and lack of distortion of the UE Boom 2. The Bose SoundLink Flex is characterized by a very rich sound, including the bass (which in my opinion should be lowered a notch in the equalizer as already mentioned in a previous comment). Still, listening to Pink Floyd's "The Wall" on it for example is pure joy, even at high volume...It almost feels like you have hi-fi speakers in the room, it's very impressive compared to the size of the speaker. Its main fault is its very weak autonomy, we end up using it almost always plugged in but what a sound! Very pleasant (but the EU was far from unpleasant but only more neutral, therefore less flattering) That's basically my opinion 🤗
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Is it worth getting a small speaker when I already got a UE boom 2 for portability? ->The Chinese speaker has strong bass, but it becomes annoying over long listening sessions. Overall, the JBL Flip 6 is worth a try. If I were to recommend one, go for the Bose Flex 2 – its bass sounds more authentic.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth speaker suggestion ->We got one a week ago after *lots* of reading, watching reviews, etc. It was a difficult choice bc the FLIP was a lot less even though the Flex (Gen2) was on sale. Totally worth it. Lightweight and loud. Cool aesthetic look and feel.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Is the Soundlink Flex (Gen 2) a good upgrade? ->Bro motion 300 doesn't come close to Flip 6 in the terms of clarity, instrument separation and bass, but still jbl is a little bit harsh. My first Bluetooth speaker was tribit stormbox micro 2, a bit smaller than average portable speakers and I love it's sound profile it was best to my ears. Later on I tried tribit sound plus, JBL flip 6, motion 300, and currently I'm having Bose SoundLink flex Gen 2. Bose is not everyone it doesn't have a bright sound. And the soundstage is narrow but still somehow it's favorite to Many. I didn't try tribit stormbox flow but I heard it has same sound profile as tribit stormbox micro 2. Tribit sound plus is also called audiophile level speaker so you can try sound plus 2. Motion 300 bass some time so bad that unbearable.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Budget Portable Bluetooth Speaker With The Most Clarity? ->Bose soundlink Flex 2 or the Marshall Emberton 2 I guess! Amazing sound, and experience!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Recommendations for a room speaker ->The box flex is the model I’ve been eyeing hard. I really like the Bose tuning and own a pair of QC. If and when the UE kick the bucket, I’ll probably the flex 💪 How would you describe the sound profile between the boom 2 and flex 2 ?
