Sounds way better for sure. More refined with a fuller low end and much better treble clarity.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bose SoundLink Micro Gen 2 review in the works ->I haven't heard the Klipsch, but I prefer the sound of the SL Micro 2 to the Clip 5. It pushes more bass and has more treble clarity, and the mids aren't as "in your face" or as prominent as they are with the Clip 5. The SL Micro does a great job of sounding bigger than it looks.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bose SoundLink Micro Gen 2 review in the works ->Man, they're pretty darn close. Out of the box, the TSM2 is pushing a bit more mid-range. The SL Micro 2 has a similar profile to the SL Flex and Plus. With a little EQ, you can almost get them to sound the same. They both get to about 110-115SPL at max volume, but the Bose stays much cleaner at higher volumes. The TSM2 distorts quicker. That said, I ran a battery test on the Bose at 80dB from one metre away, and it only lasted for four and a half hours. Wish I had a pair to try them out in stereo, but currently just have one of each!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bose SoundLink Micro Gen 2 review in the works ->Yeah huge turnoff, I use it for cycling too. Need that mic.
r/bose • Soundlink Micro (2nd Gen) ->This is my first Bose portable speaker. I was in the market for something that could mount to my bike, on my backpack for traveling, and in the hotel room etc. Portability was a must and this thing is perfectly small and packs a punch. It’s replacing a JBL clip that I left in a hotel room… lol. 🫰 Sound - So far it sounds great and much like my relatives Bose portables. Just doesn’t get as loud… expected. No complaints in sound quality, definitely an upgrade from my JBL, which I think is lacking midrange and sounds a bit tinny at times, especially the Clip (its competitor) The Bose Soundlink micro has a very natural sound and is comparable to even the JBL Charge (in terms of sound, not volume). Use the EQ in the Bose app to adjust bass , treble, and midrange. The strap… disappointingly short. Luckily the strap can be removed and configured in a few custom ways. it can be looped to hang the speaker loosely, or sturdily mounted to a bar, but if you plan to mount it sturdily to anything larger than 2” in diameter, you’ll need a longer strap. Out of the box, the strap doesn’t even double back onto itself in full length. Odd design choice. But again the strap can be removed and upgraded if needed. (The back of the strap does have rubber bumps for grip). No microphone - but I didn’t need one and as a result, we probably have better battery life which is what I prefer. USB port - kinda wish it was convered by a flap, like my JBL, to help with water resistance… Shortcut button - only available for two custom options - sound link to another Bose or launch Spotify. Must be a partner deal with Spotify… really hope they add other DSPs as I don’t use Spotify, so for now I disabled this button in hopes of 1% extra battery life 😝 So far I love it, the strap needs upgrading but the sound and portability is A+, perfect to toss into a day bag, on the bike handlebars, or hang in the bathroom during the shower.
r/bose • SoundLink Micro 2 - first impressions ->Way louder than the clip, I don’t have my clip anymore so I can’t directly compare but i can tell immediately. Sounds way better too at max volume. If you link up two of them you’ll have no problem filling a room and then some
r/bose • SoundLink Micro 2 - first impressions ->Same here. The strap on the back is a nice touch that lets you attach it to towel racks or bike handlebars if you're feeling brave.
r/gadgets • Bose SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen) Review: A Tiny Speaker You Could Actually Love ->My favorite part about the OG was the rubber strap. This one has a modified velcro strap. The other one would secure so nicely without any movement of vibration to tree branches while camping or to bicycle handlebars without any slippage. I ordered mine, getting 10% off is easy, this one produces excellent sound especially in smaller rooms if you place it in the corner, it echoes all over with excellent bass.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bose SoundLink Micro Portable Speaker (2nd Gen) - finally available in USA! ->Great to see this release. Had anyone upgraded? How's the build and sound quality? Edit: Sorry to flog this dead post, but was reading the FAQ. No microphone in the 2nd Gen version! Huge negative, I use it for conference calls all the time especially when travelling. Such as shame.
r/bose • Soundlink Micro (2nd Gen) ->I have two of these and use them daily.
r/gadgets • Bose SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen) Review: A Tiny Speaker You Could Actually Love ->So iv'e decided to take a look at bose's new generation of the micro series, based on many positive reviews. Sadly i don't have the old generation to exactly compare, but i know what an improvement is when i see and hear one. I will slightly compare it to the jbl clip 5, as they both are fair competitors sizewise and almost pricewise, maybe i'll throw the stormbox micro 2 for a future review if you guys want me to. The micro retails for 130 USD, currently available in black for 110 USD in amazon. The JBL clip 5 is currently available for around 60 USD on jbl's official website, so almost twice as less. Other models like the tribit stormbox micro 2 are also around that price, and the soundcore select 4 go is even cheaper at 25 dollars. Design: So the micro gen 2 is beefier than i remember. It's around the size of the tribit, and definitely is larger than the clip 5 . The bose is rubber coated like the larger models, the black version i have looks very nice, but it will catch fingerprints and dust quite easily. The strap on the back is replacable, but feels a little cheaper than the rubber strap used on the previous gen. Overall the design is pretty solid and feels premium. I was surprised to find out that the front grill is not metallic like the larger models, it feels soft and can even be pushed with the fingers a little bit, but it hits a solid surface underneath to protect the woofer. I like the shape and looks of it more than the jbl clip 5, maybe even the tribit. FEATURES🔥 the micro gen 2 Finally has USB C as the power port, and i say finally because the 7 year old previous model had only a micro usb, so that's refreshing to know that it uses futureproof connectivity. The bose uses a bluetooth 5.4, with aptx adaptive as they implemented on their latest models of max, plus, and flex. The battery life is doubled from 6 hours on the 1st gen, to 12 hours on the 2nd gen, which is the normal playtime for pocket speakers nowadays (even tho the soundcore select 4 go surpasses that with 20 hours) The micro gen 2 does support an app, with a 3 band eq and a few cool QOL adjustments like firmware updates, shortcut button, control of previously connected devices, connecting to other speakers etc. SOUND🔥 the moment i turned it on, i've noticed that even at flat eq, it's a bright sounding speaker but it has some really impressive clarity at low to mid volumes. At higher volumes off axis, i can sense slight intermodulation in the treble with more complicated sound tracks, but not at a concerning level. The sound profile reminds me of the soundlink plus, but better excecuted without ear piercing peaks. The sound is quite rich in the mids too, the vocals are well pronounced. In terms of bass, it doesn't dig as deep as the stormbox micro 2, but quite close. It does reach a bit deeper than the clip 5 tho, and it maintains better clarity than the clip 5. In terms of max volume, the bose can get quite compressed, but it doesn't get too distorted. Bose are known for making impressively clean full range woofers, and the micro gen 2 is a great example. It's something that the jbl, tribit and soundcore can't achieve with their pocket speakers yet in my opinion. CONCLUSION🔥 The bose soundlink micro gen 2 is quite pricey, but it delivers quite nice performance in clarity and power output in the palm of your hand. If you have the budget and you want to get a nice pocket speaker, get the bose. But for better value to price the competition would take over, Including the clip 5, stormbox micro 2, select 4 go and others that are cheaper. Cheers😄😁✌🏼
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • BOSE Soundlink micro (gen 2) - Quick Review ->Just tested it for you, jbl 5 clip on newest firmware, vs Bose sound link micro gen 2. Jbl 5 def goes louder and sounds more clear on recent update. Bose still slightly clearer sound and def has more bass more full sounding even though half the wattage.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Pocket (mini) Size Portable Speaker for Outdoor Use? ->Just get the Bose you will be happy
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Pocket (mini) Size Portable Speaker for Outdoor Use? ->My car’s infotainment system has been infected with ghost touch so instead of spending thousands to fix the issue I have instead bought one of these little speakers and it has worked out great for me!
r/gadgets • Bose SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen) Review: A Tiny Speaker You Could Actually Love ->I would recommend the tribit xsound as well. I got it for my parents. I was really impressed by the sound. It doesn’t get very pound but for personal listening it’s good. It would seem to have good highs. I use Bose micro, it’s not as good as the Bose, but still good for its price point. The build also is good and classy.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What’s the best Bluetooth speaker under ₹3000 right now? ->Bose Soundlink Micro fits your spec except for price unless you go pre-owned. Not sure you can find "decent bass" at your price point.

r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth speaker ear piercing and agressive treble? ->I was recently comparing speakers also.. I have owned a bose soundlink micro (not flex) and enjoyed it. Ultimately wished it could be louder, and I think you are looking at the one step up model. The Marshall made my final 3. If I remember correctly it has an amazing battery life and got great reviews. I've also owned the jbl flip 6 and loved it...

r/BestBluetoothSpeaker • Best Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker ->For its size, the sound is impressive. It has clear mids and good bass, though it’s not as booming as larger speakers. Still, it’s great for portability.

r/BestBluetoothSpeaker • Best Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker ->bose soundlink micro pero nasa 8k. pero it's the most portable with best sound. at slightly below price, harmann kardon luna, a little bit of heft kasi medyo bulky. pero if you're really stingy, try edifier extreme connect.
r/Tech_Philippines • Looking for portable speaker recommendations ->Bose Soundlink Micro. Tiny, sounds pretty good for the size and built as a tank. Bought mine 6 years ago and still going strong.
r/onebag • What’s your go-to speaker for travel? ->I know this post is a little older, but I wanted to jump in with some recommendations for anyone still looking for the best waterproof Bluetooth speakers for the shower! For a solid option under $200, these are some top picks: 1. **JBL Flip 5** – This is always a popular choice with great sound, a tough waterproof design (IPX7), and long battery life. It’s generally around $100-$120, so it fits nicely within your budget. 2. **Ultimate Ears WONDERBOOM 3** – Super compact, delivers 360-degree sound, and is IP67 rated for both water and dust resistance. Expect to pay around $100. 3. **Anker Soundcore 3** – If you’re looking for something affordable, this is an excellent option with solid sound and IPX7 waterproofing. You can usually find it for about $40-$50. 4. **Bose SoundLink Micro** – A bit pricier at around, but Bose offers fantastic sound quality, and the IPX7 rating makes it perfect for wet environments like the shower. As for those Amazon speakers that look too good to be true, I've seen a few that are hit or miss. While some can work fine for the price, the sound and build quality often don’t match the more established brands. So if you want something that’ll last and sound good, I’d recommend sticking with a more trusted name like JBL, UE, or Bose. Oh, and I actually wrote a detailed blog post on the **best waterproof Bluetooth speakers** if you want more suggestions! Feel free to check it out for a full breakdown of options. \[[https://voyedy.com/best-waterproof-bluetooth-speakers/](https://voyedy.com/best-waterproof-bluetooth-speakers/)\] Hope this helps, even if it's a bit late, and happy listening!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best waterproof Bluetooth speaker of all prices for shower? ->I always loved the sound of the Micro. Basically sounds just like a smaller Soundlink Mini II (albeit with not as deep bass given the size constraints)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Mini Bluetooth Speaker ->The only thing with a smaller footprint that is still considered premium is probably the Bose micro. Another no brainer is the soundcore go 4. Not as good as the Bose but close enough but the bonus is it's dirt cheap and two paired in stereo to me at least sounds nicer than my uboomL and motion 300.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Portable speaker, no budget ->It's form factor is the same but it's significantly bigger. You were specifically asking for something with a smaller footprint.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Portable speaker, no budget ->I already suggested the Bose micro. It ticks all the boxes you are looking for.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Portable speaker, no budget ->I've been a long time Bose Bluetooth supporter and owner. Their home stereo speakers aren't my thing too much, but I own 4 of their Bluetooth portable speaker line. 2 Flex and 2 micro. While they both do an impressive job respectively, the Bose Connect app has finally ended up being a deal breaker for my needs. You can only connect 2 speakers total with TWS. I don't know of any product that I've used in conjunction with an application that is less functional than the Connect app. Bose is known for great tech around their product lines, and for decades. Whoever built that app should no longer be employed by such a great company. So, I started to look around for where the tech was at currently across the market. After a good bit of reading reviews by consumers, publications and reviewers, I landed on Anker's Soundcore line of speakers. I now have 6 of them. I bought each one from Soundcore's refurbished store through Temu. I have a little more invested for those 6 than what two Bose micros actually cost me. Soundcore speakers are really good. They are very comparable to Bose in sound quality and construction, and their app will allow 100 or more of their speakers with the Party Up feature to connect to your phone or whatever your source is. It also has a custom equalizer, and several presets are in the app. None of those are in the Bose Connect app. There is an impressive amount of technology in their products like DACs, and like Bose Flex, they adjust and maximize sound quality if they are lying flat, upright, or hanging. Soundcore also have several models of high resolution digital speakers that really sound impressive also. In the high resolution speakers, I went with the Motion 300s, 30 watts apiece and a little bit smaller than my Bose Flex(which are 20 watts)..but, the bonus: I paid $52 apiece for the Motion 300s, which is ⅓ the price of a flex..and the Soundcore app for them works. Every time. I found my new favorite line of Bluetooth speakers only because I had been purchasing Anker charge cables and external battery chargers for well over a decade. I also purchased one of their first model of speakers, and I still own it from 12 or 13 years ago, and it still works well. So, they were on my radar for a long time as quality stuff. But, their r&d has upped their game since those days. I hope Bose gets their stuff together. I told em in an email 2 or 3 years ago what a piece of crap their app was, but they haven't responded. The Bose Connect app is rated at over 4 stars on Google, so I'm either one of very few that is experiencing a negative experience, or something is at play with their ratings being rigged..I'm not suggesting Google or Bose of being less than honest, but I can't rate that app at more than 2 stars and I'm being a tad bit generous with that. Soundcore's app? 5 stars!!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Costco Deals ->Any Bose. I have a soundlink flex, a revolve 2, and a micro. All are great. This weekend I used the revolve outside while doing yard work and it sounded great.
r/BuyItForLife • What's the best quality bluetooth speaker you've ever tried? ->u/Niikiitaay Curious if you managed to find one? My Bose Micro had this capability, recently got the Wonderboom 4 and Flex 2 and while I like the sound of both, having to physically turn on the speaker feels cumbersome.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth speaker that can be powered on remotely? ->I didnt think the micro2 sounded that bad but i did think the Bose Micro sounded a bit better. Just a more comfortable balanced sound
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Mini Bluetooth Speakers - Underwhelming (Tribit Stormbox Micro 2) ->Tribit Stormbox Micro or Bose Soundlink Micro. I've both and would still give the Bose the edge on sound performance however the tribit comes with USB-C and is roughly half the price.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Mini Bluetooth Speaker ->https://preview.redd.it/ny7vj2vtuvle1.png?width=1394&format=png&auto=webp&s=0f85648a2ecebb204b4efa61da06298b15b5f1fc Bose Soundlink Micro $80! Literally bombproof! Vermont winters/rain subzero temperatures!
r/USPS • Headphone are out. Are speakers in? ->Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 is the answer. I know, because I bought every decently-reviewed micro BT speaker on Amazon last year, with JBL, Bose, Anker, and a few more, and then spent a couple weeks testing them. The Stormbox Micro 2 was the easily the best IMO. The Bose was my second favorite, but for the price of it I got two TSM 2s. And I did.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best micro speaker (better than EWA A106) ->I got an older one in 2017, and have used it several times a week ever since, and it still holds up amazingly. Good battery life, great sound, easy connectivity, and durable af. This past summer I accidentally left it outside overnight. It rained all night. Grabbed it the next day and it still worked perfectly.
r/gadgets • Bose SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen) Review: A Tiny Speaker You Could Actually Love ->Thanks for the reco! I actually have Bose SoundLink Micro already but it's for my toddler's sleep music. 4 yrs na din yun. Can guarantee its quality but I'm open to try another brand sana if may almost the same quality or above par.
r/phRecommendation • Which bluetooth speaker is the best to put inside the bathroom? ->It depends what size you want. The Bose is very good if you want a small speaker. The Tribit Stormbox 2 is a very good smaller speaker that competes with the JBL Flip 6. It has a very good review by Wired .
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which one is best out of these never used a good bluetooth speaker before want to try. For both indoor and outdoor use but mainly indoors ->Same here! My 2 soundlinks are still going strong and I even still have my sounddock from when I was young.
r/BuyItForLife • What's the best quality bluetooth speaker you've ever tried? ->I find the Bose to be most pleasing of anything available in the market and did not hear any distortion when testing it thoroughly - waiting for some discount on this side of the world before I buy it !
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What are the Best bluetooth speakers w/ Aux input? ->Diggin my Bose Soundlink. Thin for portability. The bass isn't mind blowing but I was surprised for the size. Sounds great.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Portable Bluetooth Speakers in 2025 ->I do. for me. so I'm the guy who rarely listens to music around others. I don't like listening to others music especially out side, at a park or beach for example. so I don't listen to my music loud out of consideration. this little bose unit sounds great to just chill with on the back porch, not loud enough for the neighbors to hear but it's able to reproduce great sound at moderate levels. I like this flatter form over the round speakers, it will pack better. if it packs better the chance is higher it will go more places with me.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Portable Bluetooth Speakers in 2025 ->Yes. I can hear the bass at low volumes. All frequencies are well produced.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Portable Bluetooth Speakers in 2025 ->Using an old Bose sound link Bluetooth speaker when I need more sound that the mini provides.
r/macmini • Which speakers are you using? ->Bose soundlink is a good option. A little out of your price range, but worth checking out IMO.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Low to No Latency Budget $50-$100 Bluetooth Speakers? ->Yeah, I have the old soundlink and I have no issues with it. I can only imagine the new version is the same if not better.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Low to No Latency Budget $50-$100 Bluetooth Speakers? ->I have a Bose soundlink and a soundlink mini and I think they’re both pushing 15 years. The mini has been drug all over golf courses and gotten wet countless times. The soundlink has been outdoors on patios or back porches everywhere I’ve lived that entire time
r/BuyItForLife • What's the best quality bluetooth speaker you've ever tried? ->Flip 6 and Bose SoundLink are both excellent options, but for me personally, after owning both, I’ll go for the Bose. Deeper bass and clarity.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth Speaker Suggestion ->The woofer just blew on my 10 year old soundlink. I'm crushed.
r/buyforlifetips • Whats the best Portable Bluetooth Speaker widely loved now? ->I have both the JBL clip and Bose sound link. Both amazing, depending on need. If it’s staying around the house, sound link. On the move, beach, etc… JBL
r/BuyItForLife • What's the best quality bluetooth speaker you've ever tried? ->Ah, when you said black and orange I immediately thought jbl. I have a jbl charge and the battery is amazing. My OG Bose soundlink? Still cranking after over 12 years.
r/BuyItForLife • Bose SoundLink bt speaker 2017 - best battery I have seen on any electronics ->The bose isnt bad at all. There plenty out there that actually sound bad. Also its the only thing i've no latency issues or connection issues. Every jbl i've had has had Bluetooth issues, latency, and broken on me. With bose i've never had a single peice of equipment fail on me since my first acoustimass back in the day
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What are the Best bluetooth speakers w/ Aux input? ->I agree as well. I dont experience any distortion at max volumes. Can vary on audio sample quality as well.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What are the Best bluetooth speakers w/ Aux input? ->I have a black and orange. They can be paired to make a super speaker. Easy to travel with and waterproof. Havent bought another speaker after this one! So good
r/BuyItForLife • Bose SoundLink bt speaker 2017 - best battery I have seen on any electronics ->Bose Soundlink hands down
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best portable Bluetooth speaker to Buy? ->I rocked a BOSE Soundlink for a decade as my portable speaker of choice. I totally bought BOSE sales pitch in the brochure that said the speaker would not produce needlessly exaggerated bass & was built for space filling clarity. Wonderful! Then I got a first generation MOVE & couldn’t believe what a measly sound experience I had been enduring. The BOSE soundlink series are NOT stereo speakers. They do not move enough air to produce any significant low-end tones. YES, you can crank it to full volume without distortion. But it still a mono, compressed Bluetooth signal. Have you ever sat a MOVE on a piece of wooden furniture outdoors? FORGETABOUTIT!!! The move sitting on my wooden stairs or patio ROCKS THE WHOLE FUCKING YARD. And the way it can hold on to my crappy over-crowded 2.4GHz wifi signal at ASTOUNDING distances from my house is downright mystical. My kids can be in the neighbours yard, outside, 200 feet from my router & still bark song requests at Alexa and IT WORKS!! Our Move has had the shit kicked out of it. It’s dented & scratched & has paint flaking off of it. It’s been left out overnight in the rain multiple times. Gets chlorinated pool water all over its control surfaces, weekly. But it still sounds AMAZING. And the battery life is still delightfully robust despite years of faithful service.
r/sonos • Why the SoundGuys complaints/review of the Move 2 is laughable (and questionably dishonest) ->I compared Bose SoundLink, Jbl charge 5, Jbl flip 6, Soundcore Motion X600, Klipsch Nashville and HK luna. I chose Luna from all. The best balanced sound for this price range. I found JBL highs to harsh, bose pretty good but not so open , Klipsch missing any lows, and Soundcore...I liked it but when I listened side by side with Luna...well..I ended up with Luna :)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->I have them. They’re cool to show off to your friends right up until the moment that you turn them on. They have zero depth, zero bass, and really aren’t that loud. My Bose SoundLink sounds 1000x better and is much louder. You’ll get better sound from just turning on your stereo and rolling down the windows. I was highly disappointed. I don’t have any connectivity issues like a lot of people. As soon as I drop the gate, it turns on and immediately starts playing music from my phone. I really wouldn’t spend the money unless you hear one in person and decide it’s worth it. Because it’s not.
r/gmcsierra • Multi pro tailgate speakers ->Oh bose is no competition to the charge 5, crossover on the soundlink series is horrible and it made the speaker sound muddy. Your gonna get better speakers cheaper than the bose, their just really greedy with their shit. It just looks more premium, thats all.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Costco Deals ->I love JBL, but BOSE sounds cleaner and better by a fairly large margin.
r/JBL • I reviewed some of the most popular Bluetooth speakers. JBL crushed it. ->I have to say that, for as much as I love the Bose speakers I own, battery drain is far more noticeable than with other brands I own. My Bang & Olufsen speakers have the absolute least battery drain while idle; JBL is great for power retention, too.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which wireless speaker best holds charge when not in use? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
