I’m also on the same hunt. So far the Lava was comparable to the Xtreme 4 in bass. Good starting point. Xtreme 5 beats it single handily now. I will be returning Lava. Trying Brane X vs Xtreme 5 now. Brane definitely has better bass but I don’t think I like down firing sub designs. Limits placement. Would love the Earfun uboom x but finding one now is impossible even on the used market. So I guess Xtreme 5 or BB4 for pass radiator design 🤷♂️
I think it’s the Brane X. I went to their showroom in Austin the other week and they have a great listening room with a number of other comparable speakers. I bought the Brane X on the spot. Two days later I went back and bought a second. Now I’m inexplicably wanting to go back and buy a third.
Yes I run my two in stereo and it’s perfect. Super easy. Sounds better than any Bluetooth speaker I have personally heard.
I am super happy with my Brane X (I bought one and then immediately bought a second)
Two Brane X’s. Best speaker purchase I’ve made for sure.
Zero regrets. They fit my needs perfectly.
Everyone gave you a horrible list. For the deepest bass possible in a small speaker it's Brane X. The second option would be the jbl boombox 3 wi-fi and as the cheapest alternative the harman kardon go play 3. All 3 of those are 3-way speakers and come close to what a quality speaker should sound like
Onyx 8 if your sensible Brane x if you want the best and have a lot of money
Brane X The extension is unmatched Great for songs with low end Like Royals - Lorde You can hear/feel it all
Soundcore motion x600 if on a lower budget Brane X if you got 500 to spend this thing is crazy
Hard to beat the Brane X for bass! The JBL Boombox 3 also pushes plenty of low-end. Otherwise, some budget-friendly options with a good amount of bass are the Tribit StromBox Blast or Lava, and the Soundcore Boom 2 or Boom 2 Pro, depending on how big or small you want your speaker to be.
