EarFun - UBOOM

Earfun uboom . They got a big one and a normal sized one. I was looking sround on reddit for bluetooth speaker recommends and this is the unanimous answer from the nerds. And i can attest to it this speaker is crazy high quality for being only like 90 bucks

My name is u/pianoman81 and I'm a bluetooth speaker junkie. 18? Probably 5 sets of stereo pairs (Bogasing M4, Soundcore Motion+, Earfun UBoom, Oontz Ultra and Cavalier Maverick). Various Amazon Echos including the Studio. Oldest that I've kept is the UE Boombox. I had a TDK A33 which sounded great but the battery life was terrible. Newest is the Soundcore Motion X600. I'm happily surprised to hear how many people own this own. Some thought it was overhyped but I think it's pretty and has good sound for low listening environments.

Thank you u/dr150. I actually purchased the Earfun UBoom but was unable to pair it with my iPhone despite multiple attempts at resetting, rebooting, etc. I am going to return it and try the Tribit Stormbox Blast. Appreciate your help!

Soundcore 2? I have two of them and they don't thump and aren't loud. They are great speakers but aren't beasts. My pair of Uboom L's are great and loud though..

You can get two Uboom L's for $100. In after pairing mode they kick ass. Good bass and loud. Love mine..

I bought both the Uboom L and motion 300 to compare the 2 and ended up keeping the 300. Uboom sounded nice and had a little more bass but there were too many hoops to jump through to change the firmware to the “right one” for the best tuning. Maybe once it’s added into app functionality I’ll try it again. The 300 sounds great and full for its size when EQ’d right. I also don’t like the exposed passive radiators on smaller speakers I’ll be carry/packing around a lot, but that’s just a personal preference thing.

You might consider getting two UBOOM L for that price and I'm only judging by my experience. I have jbl charge 3 and jbl xtreme 2. Xtreme is just way too bassy to be a comfortable listen indoors and I don't really use it outdoors as much as I thought I would. So I barely ever use it. On the other hand two speakers in a stereo mode are incomparably better listening experience than one speaker. My guess is that you would mostly be using the speaker in the apartment so you won't be going crazy with bass and volume because of your neighbours so I feel like even if you got the bigger speaker you wouldn't be using it to its potential. In addition to that a smaller speaker can be easily dropped into a pocket or a small bag with other stuff. Larger one isn't really that convenient to take around. Anyway that was my line of thinking. I just ordered two UBOOM L because my JBLs can't play on battery any longer

Honestly, I'd choose two decent BT speakers on stereo mode over a top BT speaker as it's not a hifi experience anyway. That stereo just makes such a huge difference that I'm doubtful a difference in quality of these two speakers can overshadow. But again, that's just my personal preference The modes sound great though. Seems like earfun has been doing a fantastic job

Motion 300 or uboom l wayy better than mono shet jbl flip 6!! U will get earache while listening to flip 6 for 15min but not in case of motion 300 i got both flip 6 sounds like tin can infront of motion 300

Out of those 6 only 3 work now. * -Denon Envaya dsb250 (great deep bass and stereo separation, not so good vocals and highs) * -Vifa Helsinki (absolute beast, clean af, lacks deep bass) * -Uboom L (insane price to performance ratio, good tuning with crap hardware) * -Soundcore Motion + (I lost it...) * -Dockin D Fine (Sadly broke) * -Doss Soundbox XL (Sounded shit. Absolute dog poop speaker, glad it broke) * -Mi Speaker (was extremely good, sadly my friend dropped it and it broke)

Take a look at the UBOOM X, in terms of performance it is far superior to a JBL Charge 5 or a UE Boom 3, and unlike the JBL PartyBoxes it is IP67 dust and water protected. And for less than $250 you can even buy two and use both in TWS mode depending on your application. This could be a really interesting speaker for your needs.

It's about time those nasty rabble-rousers who have been calling everyone a shill or bot who has spoken positively about or recommended the UBOOM X finally acknowledge it's a truly great speaker. This is being confirmed by more and more people here in the subreddit, including myself.

I've just watched the video. It doesn't really help much yet, although it does help a little. I guess the more I get to see of the Blast 2, the happier I'll be about my UBOOM X. 😂

Mr. Obvious obviously downvoted this too. I returned my UBOOM X it was hot trash. The Stormbox Blast 2 is where it’s at.

Last I checked I wasn’t a bot. I don’t know how close the UBOOM X is to the higher priced options, frankly I’m not sure I could even tell and don’t really care. What matters to me is that it has awesome bass and sounds fantastic at a fraction of the price. Right now on Amazon US with the $30 coupon and discount code “UBOOMXXX” it’s $125.92 out the door. A stereo pair is still $150 under your budget. For me, the value proposition is too compelling to ignore, ymmv.

I've got the uboom x but I would recommend something else (lack of bass). JBL encore essential has good bass and is way loud. Check it out

uboom x is not boomy, it has nice deep bass. only 120 with code.

Uboom X has 7 different EQs which are tuned by oluv. Indoor+ and Outdoor+ have strong bass boost. please don't spread misinformation ;)

Bird's post about the Uboom X and Soundcore Boom 2 are spot on, and for the money are a damned good deal. I had the Uboom X for a minute and ultimately returned it because it was too big, too "boombox-looking," and wasn't WiFi/AirPlay 2. But with Oluv's tuning, it was a bargain if you need a wall of detailed sound that goes LOUD. I have a pair of Sonos Move 2s (and more) hooked up to my AppleTV ecosystem, along with a number of other WiFi speakers. The Move 2s on their own are terrific, and paired, they are dynamite. If you want to go that route, you can't go wrong. I love the portability of my Move 2s, and you can't beat their sound signature (warm, not clinical). The EQ is only "okay" in the Sonos app, but...at least there is an EQ. I listened to the Devialet, and it was very good...but not as good as the Brane X, which costs much less. The Brane X is next on my list of purchases.

It was 40€ off couple days ago e.g. where i live) If you want to stand it upwards (good for small spaces like hotels) sony ult field 1 is a consideration e.g., but sound is slightly worse than the mentioned two Then get real wired speakers for your desk, not bluetooth stuff. The is often a delay with bluetooth, annoying when watching movies. You dont want to take a go and play with you, trust me. Too big and heavy. If you're saying you also need that power outdoors its different. But i heard uboom x apparently is very good. You can get two to pair them.

I did a deep dive on this a while back and settled on an Earfün Uboom, which was recommended for two reasons  1. It has firmware available that was tuned by some famous audiophile guy 2. You can find coupons for it that give you like 20 bucks off so it's like 50-60 bucks. It has aux in as well as BT. Good battery life. You just need to be comfortable with the idea of changing the firmware to the specific recommended version. I use mine all the time. It can get quite loud but it is also absolutely dreamy at low volume. Sometimes I rest it on my forehead and it feels like I am wearing fancy invisible headphones. Also, you should read the user manual. It has two modes, one high latency mode for multi-device bluetooth and a low latency mode for single device bluetooth / aux. You switch by double pressing the BT button.  Oh and it's waterproof I guess but I'm not going to test it.
