"A good robovac is a life changer. Even a $350 basic S8. It is a great place to start. ... I promise you that you will not be disappointed by a basic S8. It will change your life even if it can't fit under every piece of furniture you own. ... My two S8s just finished vacuuming our entire house in about 46 minutes. ... While my floors were being cleaned, I sat comfortably on our patio in the cool shade with a slight breeze and composed my far too long response to you while sipping a diet soda and relaxing. ... I will have to spend about four minutes maintaining my two S8s. This will be my entire contribution to my home floor cleaning effort for today. Four minutes!"

"Like 500$ these robots are currently the steal of the century ... You can get a mova p10 pro ultra (cannot remove its mops), equivalent to the l40/x40 for 500$ after a discount code"

"I got the Q5 Pro for $139. ... costs $450 less than what I paid for the S6 ... it is the best value option out there imo."

"Literally couldn't think of any pair of IEMs + dongle dacs could sound as analytical as the C3P+ for around $70. ... detail is just sooo much better. The C3P+ is just leagues ahead the I5 in terms of detail and resolution. ... the C3P+ is actually the closest sounding one to really expensive iems or headphone that I have."

"delivers the full package here. ... betting the house regarding this on this pair was fully worth it. ... It matches up (I would not say surpasses) a lot of wired in-ear monitors within this price bracket and slightly above. ... The prowess it shows in keeping the instrument separation clean is something that I really, really appreciate myself for buying this pair, not to mention the rumbly yet controlled, precise lows keep on coming and the highs soar without spice, without hurting your ears."

"Nothing short of a home run, here- the Ear once again brings me all; the way the bass hits on this track is very impactful but not bloated, punchy but not overpowering, and Kendrick’s powerful vocals shine through bright, while I enjoyed the way the Sax keeps on coming in at the right junctions of the song, and the way the cymbals play out on this track is probably one of the best I have heard through amongst all the gear that I have owned and currently own- the first in a wireless, and one of the few if I consider all. ... the timbre sounds natural and uncoloured"

"the dragon 12s are closer to REL 8/12 subs. ... No soundbar has anything close to this sub available. ... The 12s alone make this system untouchable by any other home theater in a box. No comparison!! ... Couple the 12”subs into the experience, you’re not getting that experience short of Svs sub territory. ... It’s a house shaking, chest thumping experience that is not able to be reproduced by any other soundbar or home theater in a box. ... Adding the two 12s to the 8s really has taken the system to the next level. ... The house literally shakes now with honest chest thumping levels. ... BTW, the 12s are RELs! ... The 90 lbs behemoths in the room! ... The chuffing from the 8s many reviewers have noted is gone when used with the 12s."

"nothing trust me nothing will literally hit u that hard not even Canelo Alvarez"

"IER not having absolutely incredible bass is objectively BS. ... The bass reading on the IER is so off what you'll actually hear if you have them inserted properly, it's absolutely ridiculous. ... I have Fatfreq Maestro SE CIEM'D which are their heaviest hitting premium model - CIEM-ing it only make the bass hit much harder, and it's still not quite as heavy as the IER."

"I use it on a construction site clipped on to my tool belt so it’s pretty much perfect"

"I am now solely using a Instago 3S right now due to the just compact size and weight. ... I am mostly shooting FPV sports for small segements and I don't even realize I'm wearing it on my hat."

"I settled for the Insta360 Go3s which allows me to record discreetly while leaving my hands free. ... Now I just place the tiny 4k camera on my cap and record my POV in my travels."

"Also, you can get a 2nd one and play them in stereo. ... I am not exaggerating: if I got another, I could put them on either side of my tv and that would be my home theater."

"you can link two of them to run in stereo which sounds way better and louder than a single speaker"

"I liked mine so much that I bought a second one to pair with my original. They're pretty stupendous! ... so you can afford to buy two and pair them up. They're damned detailed, go loud, and a pair really opens up the soundstage."

"I haven't tried a Uboom L, but honestly your site made me NOT want to try one. Two reasons: the pros seem unrealistically high praise: 'the best of any modern Bluetooth speaker', and the cons make it seem like a totally half baked piece of shit as I would have to find a windows computer to flash the firmware to make it not suck? Also so much mention of downgrading firmware? What kind of weird hobbyist garbage is this? ... If it is true that somehow this shoddy firmware buggy little $50 speaker blows away the 10x more expensive competition, that's truly amazing, but you gotta understand what it looks like to an outsider. ... At this point there is no firmware flashing needed, pretty much all units ship with the correct firmware now. ... Downgrading firmware was only a thing before firmware 1.2.6, now you can use the app to enable Oluv's EQ on a factory speaker. I do not recommend anyone downgrade at this point. All that information is current in the rankings that I cannot link to in this sub. ... I can tell you that Earfun is not good at getting these things in a good state from the factory, they fumbled the Uboom X in the same way. ... The only reason it is any good is Oluv's DSP tuning that he did with the speaker. Without that, it's just another one in the pile. ... True, manufacturers need to focus on ease of use and working perfectly out of the box without any adjustment. I completely agree."

"And also it takes a very long time to update the speaker through the app"

"No firmware update possible from the app? Also the firmware fiasco when this speaker was released is kinda weird too"

"At four kilos, it is one of the smaller speakers in the boombox class. ... Hahaha, I can tell you, this thing is a big chunk. ... When I held it in my hand for the first time, I also thought it was far too big."

"Move 2 was too big to move around. ... I'm in an urban apartment so not a big enough space to have Sonos everywhere"

"I personally hated the Arete. ... the reduced ear gain (~3kHz) coupled with the small mid treble peak makes it sound weirdly clenched and thin. ... It's just an incredibly unnatural sounding set. ... nothing (outside of EQ anyways) could fix its tonality."

"It sounds like total garbage out of the box."

"muddy"

10

7

"Not for bass heads (even with EQ). ... my bass preferences wasn’t all that aligned with the Brain Dance ... the mid bass actually has just enough presence, it’s decently punchy and it is pretty fast, but is reduced nonetheless. ... Now let me clarify, it is not a basshead amount or, arguably, quality of bass in any way, and at this price point could be done a bit better ... it does sometimes feels a bit too on the background versus the mids or treble ... at the end of the day, the overall experience does suffer from the scooped bass. ... yeah, is not for people looking for bass. ... the drums and instruments on the are of bass wont be too distinctive in the track, which means you will hear them but dont feel them as much ... Becase of the mid bass dip, you can hear it but not feeling that much, is just a bit too much sub-bass for a pretty reduced amount of mid bass that doesnt work that well for drum replay in rock ... you really would be missing on some impactful and energetic drums, its better for things like pop music, acustic, and some lofi kind of electronic music, but bassy stuff is not going to be the best. ... the bass thumb is noticeably less intense than the rest of the sounds, i hear it, but is not a great drum experience."

"it lacks sub-bass ... the sub-bass is thin ... You're not going to be enveloped in a growl."

"if you are a fan of a bit more oomph you might be disappointed without the adaptor."

Soundcore 2? I have two of them and they don't thump and aren't loud. They are great speakers but aren't beasts. My pair of Uboom L's are great and loud though..

I have to say, my pair of Uboom L's is absolutely awesome. I have the app dialed and the EQ on my R1 so that I have zero distortion and the bass is clean and sounds great. Totally satisfied with my little rig.

Two Uboom L's (TWS). I'm loving mine. Took a little effort to dial the EQ to my liking, but they sound great in stereo and have plenty of volume and solid bass. Can't complain for the $120 I paid. I run mine about 4 feet apart, and the stereo spread is very nice.

One sounds damn good, I bought mine and enjoyed it but after about a week I wanted more volume and bass. But I'm using mine in the back of a warehouse and wanted enough volume to overpower noise. In a quiet setting one would be fine. But two in stereo is pretty amazing. There is a coupon code where you can get them for $49 each. Just search for Uboom L oluv code i believe.

The treble and mids are clean and crisp. This speaker doesn't rely on bass at all, some people think it doesn't have enough bass because it isn't a sub bass thrower. The bass is clear and natural. The UBoom L is more like a studio monitor, audiophiles love it because it's neutral and doesn't hype up certain frequencies. Honestly it's just a really great little speaker and the price makes it even better. A lot of bluetooth speakers have exaggerated bass, which is what some people want, this doesn't have that, but it does have bass that serves the music and sounds good and punchy.

You might raise your eyebrows at this but I really REALLY like my EarFun UBOOM (L?) bluetooth speaker. I got it for like 50 bucks. I use it for my mobile synth stuff and it works great. Not loud enough for a gig but plenty loud for a jam in the park. Generally it sounds good, but if you are able to get it pointing directly at you it sounds fantastic. Especially - or maybe specifically, if you install the custom firmware developed by some guy named Oluv, who I guess is maybe well known in the audiophile community, but IDK. You need to use the low latency mode if you're going to perform, which is a double tap of the bluetooth button (even when using AUX). The battery life is great, the sound is great, it's easy to use, waterproof, not very big, etc. etc.

I did a deep dive on this a while back and settled on an Earfün Uboom, which was recommended for two reasons  1. It has firmware available that was tuned by some famous audiophile guy 2. You can find coupons for it that give you like 20 bucks off so it's like 50-60 bucks. It has aux in as well as BT. Good battery life. You just need to be comfortable with the idea of changing the firmware to the specific recommended version. I use mine all the time. It can get quite loud but it is also absolutely dreamy at low volume. Sometimes I rest it on my forehead and it feels like I am wearing fancy invisible headphones. Also, you should read the user manual. It has two modes, one high latency mode for multi-device bluetooth and a low latency mode for single device bluetooth / aux. You switch by double pressing the BT button.  Oh and it's waterproof I guess but I'm not going to test it. I like mine quite a lot. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bluetooth_Speakers/comments/1fle9of/the_earfun_uboom_l_is_insanely_good/

Uboom X in Oluv's indoor would be absolutely the best choice, maby you can still find some Vifa speakers? Also, Ldac/Aptx advantage is negligible, you'll get more improvement by lowering some peak in the frequency response via eq

I really like the UBOOM X, but I wouldn't call it a premium product. It has cheap startup sounds, and the build quality isn't very premium either. It's just plastic and a bit of rubber. It does sound good tho.

I wouldn't recommend any Earfun speaker to someone who isn't very tech savy. Every Earfun speaker sounds mediocre out of the box and they need EQing. I really like my UBOOM X, but I just can't recommend it to my mom. That's why my mom has a JBL Charge. Also, any of the stock (normal or OLUV's) EQs are way too focused on deep bass, which isn't the best with classical music. And it's not very portable I think, it's rather huge.

Those are all very different speakers, but if you want to have the best sound, bigger is almost always better. UBOOM X is a good choice.

I will probably get flamed for this, but the UBOOM X was definitely the best purchase of the year, great speaker for the €91 I paid. It can't compete with the JBL Boomboxes, but those are at least 3 times more expensive. I bought a Soundcore Motion 300 too, that thing is pretty good too. Feels and sounds very premium for a low price.

Bought it about 6 months ago, had to use a coupon code on the global website, so you pay in dollars. Dollar price and euro price is the same, but the conversion for dollar to euro is pretty good. Sadly they discontinued the speaker, I would like it in TWS. I haven't listened to the Boombox 3, but I feel like people compare the uboom x to more expensive speakers. The UBOOM X is not perfect, the way highs sound is a bit weird because the woofers get a full range signal, but overall it's pretty good. And the speaker gets very loud with decent bass. I mostly use it as a party or outdoor speaker, and it does that very well. At home I have a full surround system with big bookshelf speakers, and a big Edifier 2.1 system at my desk. Those sound much better, but I can't take those with me lol.

I have used it in some cars as well. Tried my old JBL Xtreme first, but the bass doesn't really keep up in a car. The Uboom X worked great with the BOOMXXX eq. No portable Bluetooth speaker can compete with a decent car stereo tho.

The UBOOM X would still be my first choice. There are currently four second-hand ones listed on Kleinanzeigen, including one in Leipzig priced at €120 (negotiable). I would snap that one up immediately if I were you! I have two of them. I often use one (or two, if I'm feeling wild) at a low volume in the bathroom, but I also regularly use both in TWS mode at small, private outdoor events. I am absolutely thrilled with this speaker. It's a great-sounding all-rounder that suits me perfectly in almost every way. Edit: [https://ibb.co/JWJwVtCX](https://ibb.co/JWJwVtCX)

Take a look at the UBOOM X, in terms of performance it is far superior to a JBL Charge 5 or a UE Boom 3, and unlike the JBL PartyBoxes it is IP67 dust and water protected. And for less than $250 you can even buy two and use both in TWS mode depending on your application. This could be a really interesting speaker for your needs.

I feel it. With that budget, I'd go with the UBOOM X. I was one of those people that would talk shit about it because I saw so many people hyping it up, but I gave it a chance and it is well worth the money I paid for ($103). But even on prime you can snag it for around $120 which is still a good deal. If you do go this route, make sure you put UBOOMXXX in the discount code thing in Amazon. It should bring it down to that price. Just helping a fellow Redditor out. I also heard they're discontinuing the UBOOM X. $15 bucks more you can get the Tribit Stormbox Blast which, in my opinion, is an awesome speaker. The choice is yours.

UBOOMX sounds like shit straight out of the box. The only EQ that sounds good to me is olives Outdoor+ mode. If the speaker sounded like that without having to download an app and going through hella EQs, then it would be a solid speaker for its price. I paid $103 for mine so it’s alright. I just hate how I have to depend on the app to get decent sound.
