"this speaker is crazy high quality for being only like 90 bucks"
"But with Oluv's tuning, it was a bargain if you need a wall of detailed sound that goes LOUD."
"With the UBOOM X, EarFun offers an excellent-sounding speaker at a very competitive price. ... It can even hold its own against significantly more expensive brand-name speakers."

"Two Uboom L's (TWS). I'm loving mine. ... Took a little effort to dial the EQ to my liking, but they sound great in stereo and have plenty of volume and solid bass. ... I run mine about 4 feet apart, and the stereo spread is very nice."

"I have to say, my pair of Uboom L's is absolutely awesome. I have the app dialed and the EQ on my R1 so that I have zero distortion and the bass is clean and sounds great. Totally satisfied with my little rig."

"it was too big"
"Personally the UBoom X was too big for me to carry around outside."
"And it's not very portable I think, it's rather huge."

"I compared the Uboom L side by side with the Motion + and I did not hear much noticeable difference in bass depth. ... And I did feel like it gave me a fuller sound than the UBL which I really liked."
"which sounded hollow in comparison"
"Every Earfun speaker sounds mediocre out of the box and they need EQing. ... Also, any of the stock (normal or OLUV's) EQs are way too focused on deep bass, which isn't the best with classical music."

"It sounds like total garbage out of the box."
"the UBOOM X, which sounded hollow in comparison. ... They just sound better to me and not by a small amount."
"I found the UBoom to not sound quite as good as the other two."
You might raise your eyebrows at this but I really REALLY like my EarFun UBOOM (L?) bluetooth speaker. I got it for like 50 bucks. I use it for my mobile synth stuff and it works great. Not loud enough for a gig but plenty loud for a jam in the park. Generally it sounds good, but if you are able to get it pointing directly at you it sounds fantastic. Especially - or maybe specifically, if you install the custom firmware developed by some guy named Oluv, who I guess is maybe well known in the audiophile community, but IDK. You need to use the low latency mode if you're going to perform, which is a double tap of the bluetooth button (even when using AUX). The battery life is great, the sound is great, it's easy to use, waterproof, not very big, etc. etc.
Agreed. I have the original UBoom and they sound amazing. They're omnidirectional so really fill a room with sound. The only downside with the original UBoom is lack of bass.
Look at the Uboom L. I think it has a balanced sound without getting bassy.
Boom 2 is good but if it's too big, uboom l will fit nicely in the bathroom.
Make sure you check if the size works for you. Personally the UBoom X was too big for me to carry around outside. That's why I like the Soundcore Boom 2. It's lightweight but still can produce a good outdoor sound. If you want something heavy and massive, the UBoom X is a good option.
I find it comical how polarizing the Uboom X is. I bought it, listened to it and returned it. Sounded fine it just wasn't for me. A bit too large and plasticky. When I posted my experience, it was like I insulted someone's mother. They could not believe I didn't think the speaker was delivered from the heavens. Having said that, if you enjoy a speaker than it's the best speaker for you. It's not for me to force an opinion on anyone.
We're in agreement. I don't doubt the Uboom X sounds amazing. It just wasn't for me in terms of looks and bulkiness. I felt the same about the tribit storm box blast which was held in the same regard a few years ago.
The UBOOM X is no longer selling so will be interested in following how the W-King X20S and other competitors fare. Personally, I didn't like the UBOOM X but there are fanboys here who will always vote that comment down. Too large, generic looking, and plasticky but that's my own personal preference and opinion.
Yep. Bought soundcore , returned. Bought uboom and was pleasantly surprised. I habe bigfoot 2s so I know bass
Bought 1 then bought a uboom x Uboom is louder, deeper bass, better mids and lows than a boom 2
Soundcore 2? I have two of them and they don't thump and aren't loud. They are great speakers but aren't beasts. My pair of Uboom L's are great and loud though..
You can get two Uboom L's for $100. In after pairing mode they kick ass. Good bass and loud. Love mine..
100% don't agree. They are far from trash. Have you heard a pair of them in person?
This. I have a pair of L's that I run about 4 feet apart. Sounds amazing.

Two Uboom L's (TWS). I'm loving mine. Took a little effort to dial the EQ to my liking, but they sound great in stereo and have plenty of volume and solid bass. Can't complain for the $120 I paid. I run mine about 4 feet apart, and the stereo spread is very nice.
One sounds damn good, I bought mine and enjoyed it but after about a week I wanted more volume and bass. But I'm using mine in the back of a warehouse and wanted enough volume to overpower noise. In a quiet setting one would be fine. But two in stereo is pretty amazing. There is a coupon code where you can get them for $49 each. Just search for Uboom L oluv code i believe.
The treble and mids are clean and crisp. This speaker doesn't rely on bass at all, some people think it doesn't have enough bass because it isn't a sub bass thrower. The bass is clear and natural. The UBoom L is more like a studio monitor, audiophiles love it because it's neutral and doesn't hype up certain frequencies. Honestly it's just a really great little speaker and the price makes it even better. A lot of bluetooth speakers have exaggerated bass, which is what some people want, this doesn't have that, but it does have bass that serves the music and sounds good and punchy.
This is the discount code for Amazon. OLUVUBOOML
Uboom L ($50) and a Hiby R1 ($85) with a 256gb SD card ($20). He'll be set for life and it will sound great and he portable. Loving mine. Zero complaints.
Uboom L ($50) or a pair of them if you want glorious stereo greatness. Soundcore 2 ($29) or Select 4 Go ($22) if you want to spend much. I have pairs of all three and love them all for different things.
Two Uboom L's in tws stereo. $100 for two, on Amazon with the oluv discount code
Uboom L sounds great at extremely low volume.
Just get two Uboom L's and call it a day. I got my pair for $100 and they do the job beyond well. 1
with coupon and bank discount its 7500 rn. if you dont have the card i would suggest you to wait a little as it goes for sale frequently. if you want to buy a speaker rn get the uboom l and download old firmware.
Any latency when wired? I have a similar bt speaker I hoped to use this way and there is noticeable latency when wired. Uboom L if anyone is wondering, I got fooled by the reddit shills for this speaker, it's ass.
Have you tried outdoor mode on the Uboom L? I think it sacrifices some lower bass though compared to indoor mode. Flip 6 size is quite impressive.
I have the Xiaomi outdoor 30W speaker, and I've previously owned both the motion 300 and the Uboom L. The Xiaomi is awesome for the price, better in bass than both those speakers in my opinion, and if you buy one now and save up you can get another one down the line and pair them in TWS. They sound amazing and so much bigger when pair in TWS. Highly recommend
Yeah I got a uboom L to use wired and the latency is terrible. That speaker sucks ass. I might pick up the old soundcore you linked.
Actual stereo sound will be very hard to achieve due to the speaker sizes, but best I've experienced very UBoom L and Motion+.
Move 2 is probably the highest quality speaker in this price range. Brane X might surpass it though. And if you want to save some money, the UBoom X with a decent EQ is a nice and loud budget option.
If the JBL Partybox 110/120 is too expensive, go for 2 or more UBoom X. You can pair them up, but be aware that party or tws mode will drain the battery faster (as is the case with all speakers). The Stormbox is nowhere loud enough. Strombox Blast would also work, but needs a bigger charger.
WK X20 and Uboom X are both good speakers, although I personally prefer the clarity of the X. If you need deep bass outdoors you will need to go bigger though like the JBL Partybox 120/320.
