"The UBOOMX on the other hand is capable more than a jbl Xtreme 3-4 but less than half the price."
"by far the best price/performance ratio currently available ... cheaper than a JBL Charge 5"
"only costs about half as much. ... for the same money you could buy two UBOOM X and use them in TWS. ... Two speakers in stereo sound more than twice as good as just one and really bring music to life with their wide sound stage."

"The guy who did the DSP tuning (easily 80% of the speaker's performance) for the Uboom X did a pretty big write up lately that's a good read ... He's pretty well known around for having an amazing ability to tune these things and I own a few speakers and headphones that he's done and I'm extremely happy with all of them. ... just make sure you install the Earfun app to update the firmware and select an Oluv EQ like Indoors. Out of the box it sounds like complete garbage (which especially shows how much the DSP tuning matters)"
"Thanks to the EQ, it can be perfectly adjusted for the situation in a small bathroom. ... With the UBOOM X I have almost as good a sound in the bathroom as with my audiophile hi-fi system in the living room. ... With the UBOOM X, EarFun has brought a really exceptionally good Bluetooth speaker onto the market. ... I use the speaker in this situation with a very bright EQ at low volume. And that works so perfectly. ... listening to music in excellent quality."

"plays really deep, clean bass and is pretty loud at the same time"

"It is a fact and would stand up to any comparison that the EarFun UBOOM X is currently the best you can get for around €100 in terms of sound quality and also as a complete package. ... When it comes to the best sound quality, which means reproducing the music as accurately as possible across the entire frequency range, including bass and low bass, speakers the size of a drinks can or sandwich tin can't really compete."

"The EarFun UBOOM X has a generally very good sound quality, which is particularly characterized by the authentic reproduction of instruments and vocals. ... But the sound quality is so outstanding that once you walk through that door, there's no going back. You'll be lugging four kilos everywhere with you without a murmur, because it's worth it."

"So instead of trying to do another "boombox" I thought it could be nice to have a speaker for serious listening which could do both, be some kind of portable studio monitor and some boombox for outdoors if needed. ... indoor should offer a pretty neutral response similar to studio monitors with some psychoacoustic stereo enhancing and dynamic bass and treble adjustments for lower levels ... indoor+ adds even more stereo width and has some slight boost at the lowest and highest frequencies. ... outdoor has upper bass slightly reduced to avoid the speaker to appear too boomy when placed at the ground while midbass around 60hz boosted more, at the same time lowest bass is cut quite a bit more as usually outdoors these frequencies are not heard that well anyhow, this together with the less aggressive compressor for treble allowed for the highest SPL levels with less distortion than outdoor+, Boom xXX etc. ... Boom xXX was meant as rather fun for those who simply love that boominess. It is still listenable unlike some Sony speakers that are just knocking and humming with mudiness and IMO Boom xXX works best for maximum volume with the most overall bass and slightly less distortion than outdoor+ while being louder at the same time. ... Ground O which stands for ground omnidirectional should offer you the most bass possible when placed at the ground due to the boundary effect without the boominess you would get with Boom xXX, at the same time treble is boosted a lot to allow for omnidirectional listening when the speaker is aimed upwards. This works fairly well and due to the reduced upper bass it gives a more controlled result than Boom xXX with a cleaner, deeper bass due to the ground reflections. ... I still created an own desktop mode which should give more satisfying results with the speaker placed on some larger table or even at the ground. It should still offer a rather neutral uncolored result compensating for the reflections of this surface."

"Sadly if you use it out of the box it sounds like unlistenable garbage with the defaults, it needs the app installed, firmware updated and an Oluv EQ selected and then it's one of the best around."

"I returned them because of sound drops when paired in TWS mode (a known issue)"
"i tried party and tws mode for the first time last week and had stuttering problems as well :( ... only oluv eq that had no stuttering was the "studio" mode. still sounds great, but it is just sad you can't use the powerful equalizers."
"I returned them because of sound drops when paired in TWS mode (a known issue) ... I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the UBOOM X to anyone who doesn't intend to use two of them in TWS mode. ... It happened for me with my own custom EQs and all the Oluv profiles including Studio while playing locally stored Spotify files on Android. ... With two UBOOM X speakers, it would sometimes play for hours with no stutter and sometimes stutter 5 times in 5 minutes (no pattern that I can see... I'd replay the same song after multiple sound drops and it'd sometimes play smoothly the next time and sometimes stutter in different spots). ... I didn't experience sound drops with a flat EQ."

"The size is the problem. ... And you suggest him a boombox sized speaker🤣🤣 ... the uboom x is a large speaker ... It's a big speaker. ... It's way larger which means significantly less portability"
"At four kilos, it is one of the smaller speakers in the boombox class. ... Hahaha, I can tell you, this thing is a big chunk. ... When I held it in my hand for the first time, I also thought it was far too big."
"I tried the Uboom X as well, which sounded GREAT, but it was just too big for my needs. ... I remember really liking the UBX, but just thinking that it was too big for my needs. ... UBX is better in all regards(bass, loudness, overall sound) but it’s much larger (about twice the volume of the B2)"
But only in Oluv's studio, indoor and indoor plus modes
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth speaker for vinyl recommendations ->You're not listening close enough... Put it in normal indoor mode, sit in front of the speaker and listen to actual music, you should notice that its hard to even hear the speaker because of how little coloration it has
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth speaker for vinyl recommendations ->Uboom X should've been marketed as a "hifi" speaker with a nicer design, given to some audiophile channels with your DSP as standard setting and it would've been selling like hot cakes for 3x the price... But earfun managed to screw it up, anyway I'm glad that it exists so those of us who want a great natural sound can get what I would consider the finest sounding battery powered speaker at any price and yet its like $125 on average. Still very sad about the channel because there were some amazing videos there but it definitely showed that people even with the best and most objective sound demos simply can't handle watching someone demonstrate a product that's better than whatever they bought, after all, that's a direct intelligence attack for most.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->Uboom X + Uboom L from Earfun, both in one of Oluv's dsp settings in the app
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth speakers available under $200? JBL vs Tribit vs Bose ->Earfun Uboom X in studio, Indoor or Indoor+ mode... I don't think there's anything battery powered out there that sounds nicer at normal volumes at any price
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth speakers for death metal? ->Earfun Uboom X in Oluv's newest firmware from his patreon and his indoor dsp setting if you can find one. I've heard a lot of bluetooth speakers, I also have the Vifa Copenhagen 2.0 which could maby be the next finest sounding battery speaker imo... Only issue with the Uboom X is the design. Here's a great comparison with Beolit 20: https://youtu.be/yt9X287XsC8?si=26t_CJ88Q6lj2Vz5 (newest video on that channel also demonstrates it against Neumann kh80 which is useful) A lot of people are always saying Go+Play 3 but that's simply way too boosted in bass and doesn't have the same linearity and smoothness of the Earfun
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • ‘Audiophile’ Portable Speaker ->It's weird and most have some problem with this but in terms of pure sound quality when sitting in front of a speaker, Earfun Uboom X in Oluv's custom firmware and indoor dsp setting is probably the best on the market. I would rank Vifa Copenhagen 2.0 (in late night mode and playing in its sweet spot) as close second in terms of the overall sound (obviously not talking only about bass and power here, these two are proper "hifi" compared to the rest of the market and I've been searching for something potentially better than the Copenhagen since I got it 4 years ago).
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best premium medium-large portable BT speaker (can be carried) any price ->Uboom X in Oluv's indoor would be absolutely the best choice, maby you can still find some Vifa speakers? Also, Ldac/Aptx advantage is negligible, you'll get more improvement by lowering some peak in the frequency response via eq
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best 'neutral' sounding speaker with LDAC/aptxHD/aptx under $400 AUD? ->It has deeper bass but Vifa sounds much smoother and more refined (in Late Night setting) and can also play louder than the Hk. Ultimately Earfun Uboom X in Oluv's indoor mode sounds overall better than both imo and will get improved even more because he is working to improve it right now...
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • This thing is absolutely incredible in every way… best speaker I’ve EVER had ->Uboom X, it now on sale for only 92 dolar. Its a great speaker. Especially for this price. If you like deep bass, good mids and highs this is a great pick. Fast charging trough ucb c. Powerbank for your phone. Great eq possibilities. Loud sound with deep bass. Ip67. Pair it till 50 speakers. Aux in. The bose soundlink flex 2 is a great speaker. Portable, good deep sound. It will sound a lot bigger than it is. Ip67. Usb c charging. Great build quality. 3 band eq trough the bose app. Durable rock solid design. Fantastic color options.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best budget portable speaker with great sound quality?(Under $150) ->https://www.myearfun.com/speakers/earfun-uboom-x-portable-bluetooth-speaker-black If you also add the code UBOOMXXX The prise will be 104 dollar or 104 Euro Before it was 92 haha fave fun 🙏🏻
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best budget portable speaker with great sound quality?(Under $150) ->Bose soundlink flex 2 has great bass for on the go. Especially for it's size. If you play with the eq in the bose app and put it in the corner. It sounds way bigger that it's size. Earfun Uboom X is also great. Its larger but almost the same price as the bose. The bass on it is fantastic. Devialet Mania is an wonderful sounding speaker. Big bass, great highs, and a big price haha 😉 Jbl flip 7 or charge 6 are great for outdoor usage.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Smallest BT speaker with Best Bass response? ->If you can still get your hands on an EarFun UBOOM X, you should consider it. It's a great sounding speaker with a sensational price-performance ratio.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Seeking recommendations for a portable speaker that realistically wont travel often ->If you're looking for high volume and powerful bass, you'll have to compromise on speaker size. I had a Soundcore Motion Boom, which is significantly more powerful than the JBL Charge. But even that wasn't powerful enough for my taste, especially for outdoor use. I switched to the EarFun UBOOM X and couldn't be happier. Yes, it's big and weighs 4 kilos. I even transport two of them on my bike to private outdoor events. It takes some effort and hassle, but it's absolutely worth it. For me, the UBOOM X is the perfect compromise between size and sound. It delivers absolutely great, rich and full sound at volumes that are sufficient for me. A speaker with an even higher maximum volume that is larger and heavier would not be an option for me. However, I wouldn't want anything with less power than the UBOOM X. It offers so much more power than a JBL Charge, and even significantly more power than a JBL Xtreme, Soundcore Boom 2, or Tribit Lava. There are numerous sound comparisons on YouTube that prove this. You might find this video interesting. [https://youtu.be/YAj5BIASWL0](https://youtu.be/YAj5BIASWL0) Whichever way you look at it, if you insist on a compact size, you compromise on sound. End of story.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for Very Loud Bassy Charge 6 Size Speaker in the $100–$200 Range ->If portability and size are not important factors for you and you prioritize good sound quality, I recommend the EarFun UBOOM X. If you can still get your hands on one, it's a particularly interesting option. Here is a sound comparison with the Charge 6 and the Xtreme 4: [https://youtu.be/YAj5BIASWL0](https://youtu.be/YAj5BIASWL0)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • JBL xtreme 4 or a JBL charge 6? I was also contemplating on getting the Bose SoundLink max but the battery life is kinda letdown from what I’ve read. What do you guys think? ->The battery isn't the best but I love the bass. I tried the Earfun uboom x too- I'll say it's the the best bass for the money. It's better than soundcore boom 2 imo
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Punchiest bass on home/portable speaker? 2025 ->That must be really annoying. With the Bose Soundlink Max, I've also often read that the battery drains itself. With the Soundcore Motion Boom, which I have used for over two years, and with my two EarFun UBOOM Xs, which I have been using for a good 3 months, I have never noticed that the battery loses charge when not in use.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which wireless speaker best holds charge when not in use? ->Take a look at the UBOOM X in particular, which is currently the best value for money in the small boombox class.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which wireless speaker best holds charge when not in use? ->In terms of price, [this](https://www.amazon.com/EarFun-Bluetooth-JumboBass-Waterproof-PowerBank/dp/B0D53P1PQ8) it is in the middle of the two and in terms of sound, it is at a significantly higher level than the Charge 5. I would advise against the Treblab. It is not a product worth recommending.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which portable bluetooth speaker for background music, 40-person dinner party? ->It easily fits even into small backpacks, but then hardly anything else. 😂 No seriously, the UBOOM X is a big boy. But the sound is so fantastic. Once you've gone through that door, there's no going back. Instead of my old 1.5 kg Motion Boom, I now lug around my 4 kg UBOOM X and am always excellently compensated for my efforts.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which is the best portable speaker on sale currently? (Budget ~120$) ->Which country do you live in? You can order the UBOOM X from amazon in the USA and, as of a few days ago, also in large parts of Europe and benefit from the uncomplicated return policy. However, in some cases it is cheaper to order directly from the manufacturer. The best price at the moment is $111.35, just to give you an idea. And you can see what level you're dealing with here: [https://youtu.be/yt9X287XsC8](https://youtu.be/yt9X287XsC8)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which is the best portable speaker on sale currently? (Budget ~120$) ->Oh cool, then leave enough space in your suitcase so that you can take a big boy home with you. 😁
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which is the best portable speaker on sale currently? (Budget ~120$) ->I have never heard another Bluetooth speaker that has such audiophile hi-fi sound as the EarFun UBOOM X. But it's not a designer speaker. You have to ask yourself where you are willing to compromise, on looks or on sound. I myself have a high-quality hi-fi system in my living room and am a music lover, but the sound of the UBOOM X, which I use in the bathroom, also regularly brings a smile to my face. Here's a sound comparison with a high-priced designer speaker from a luxury brand: [https://youtu.be/yt9X287XsC8](https://youtu.be/yt9X287XsC8)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth speaker for vinyl recommendations ->The EarFun UBOOM X has a generally very good sound quality, which is particularly characterized by the authentic reproduction of instruments and vocals. At four kilos, it is one of the smaller speakers in the boombox class. If this size is not an obstacle for you, then this is one of the best recommendations.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Portable BT Speaker-Music & TV? ->Hahaha, I can tell you, this thing is a big chunk. When I held it in my hand for the first time, I also thought it was far too big. But the sound quality is so outstanding that once you walk through that door, there's no going back. You'll be lugging four kilos everywhere with you without a murmur, because it's worth it. You can read more about my experiences with the speaker here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Bluetooth\_Speakers/comments/1i6uwtf/comment/m8fvf0i/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Bluetooth_Speakers/comments/1i6uwtf/comment/m8fvf0i/)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Portable BT Speaker-Music & TV? ->If you want a Bluetooth speaker, the EarFun UBOOM X comes closer to your requirements than any other speaker I know of. However, I prefer my own EQs to those of OLUV and find its Studio modus the least convincing. But tastes and listening habits differ.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • I’ve been wondering, what is the best Bluetooth speaker (portable) under £200? I’m an audiophile.. ->For this purpose and your price range, I can recommend the EarFun UBOOM X from my own experience, which is available for around $120. Thanks to the EQ, it can be perfectly adjusted for the situation in a small bathroom. I use it almost every day and am delighted with it. [Here ](https://ibb.co/1v6XFDX)it is, sitting on my bathroom cabinet. In the photo you can still see my old Soundcore Motion Boom next to it, which I'm currently trying to sell. With the UBOOM X I have almost as good a sound in the bathroom as with my audiophile hi-fi system in the living room.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best waterproof Bluetooth speaker of all prices for shower? ->With the UBOOM X, EarFun has brought a really exceptionally good Bluetooth speaker onto the market. If you have the opportunity, you should definitely give it a listen.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best waterproof Bluetooth speaker of all prices for shower? ->If that's the case, forget the UBOOM X, it's clearly too big for that.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best waterproof Bluetooth speaker of all prices for shower? ->If its size and a weight of 4 kg are not an obstacle, I recommend the EarFun UBOOM X. Soundwise on a similar level to a JBL Boombox 3, but cheaper than a JBL Charge 5. The EarFun UBOOM X is a powerful and superb sounding speaker with by far the best price/performance ratio currently available. In terms of performance, it is one step above the Boom 2. Here is a brief sound comparison. Please use headphones and don't be put off by the somewhat strange presentation of the video. r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Portable bluetooth speaker recommendations for someone who enjoys bass ->It's no longer a secret, but it's possible that not everyone knows about this fantastic Bluetooth speaker that sounds way above its price tag. Check out the EarFun UBOOM X.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth Speaker for Car Use in 2024? ($200US or less) ->Neither in real life nor here on Reddit does everyone agree on a topic. This is especially true when it comes to Bluetooth speakers. But at least I agree with the previous commentator. 😂 It is a fact and would stand up to any comparison that the EarFun UBOOM X is currently the best you can get for around €100 in terms of sound quality and also as a complete package. If you can cope with the weight and size, then that's the way to go! If you're in the US, there's a very interesting new discovery that sits between the UBOOM X and the Soundcore Boom 2 in terms of performance and size, but is currently available for just under $40. Its value for money is out of this world: [https://amzn.to/3EiZCJC](https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbS1jeXRYczRkQ0NyR0ZneU1CT2Vmd1M5dENEd3xBQ3Jtc0trQXNjM0RoMVJuRm16U0F0VDI4aUlhWVVCaWdfelVEZ2Frd2c0NVhiWmNjazZSN2hRWFRTZ3Z5dzhXTXctYm44c0F5NHlKZmlhWVo3cHRRMVVSZFN4RThNYlBYN2Z3OGFBV0FDTGZaR0h1MHZySGlwYw&q=https%3A%2F%2Famzn.to%2F3EiZCJC&v=0M9aNG5Tb1o) [Sound comparison ZZA K8 vs Soundcore Boom 2](https://youtu.be/0M9aNG5Tb1o) [Sound comparison Earfun Uboom X vs ZZA K8](https://youtu.be/YS7zQaaiG3c) Unfortunately, the ZZA K8 is not available at anywhere near such attractive conditions in Europe, where I live. Otherwise I would certainly have already secured a batch of several speakers. 😁
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which speaker should i get ->The EarFun UBOOM X is my best recommendation, I am absolutely satisfied with it.
r/WirelessSpeakers • Looking for the best speaker at the 100-150$ price range ->The EarFun UBOOM X currently offers by far the best price/performance ratio. It has a very high sound quality, comparable to the JBL Boombox 3 or the Sony ULT Field 7, but it is noticeably smaller and lighter and costs less than a JBL Charge. In terms of overall sound, the UBOOM X is comparable to a small hi-fi system and costs just over 100 dollars. So for your budget, you could easily buy two UBOOM Xs and use them in the TWS as a stereo system if you had the space. Please note that two speakers in stereo sound more than twice as good as one, and that music only really comes to life with a wide soundstage.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Budget indoor speakers with great sound quality ->As I've written many times before, in my opinion the EarFun UBOOM X is by far the best overall package at the moment. You can read about my experience with the UBOOM X here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Bluetooth\_Speakers/comments/1j6xehj/comment/mh4pp2p/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Bluetooth_Speakers/comments/1j6xehj/comment/mh4pp2p/)
r/WirelessSpeakers • Best portable speaker (best sound) ->I know there's no accounting for taste. But I'm surprised that anyone could find the UBOOM X ugly. The thing is straightforward and simple in design. You could say it looks boring, it's not a designer piece, it looks cheap in photos, but I really don't understand what's ugly about it. I regularly have one in the bathroom. This is what it looks like: [https://ibb.co/bg7QMgP0](https://ibb.co/bg7QMgP0)
r/WirelessSpeakers • Best portable speaker (best sound) ->Yes, in my opinion EarFun hasn't done itself any favours with the cheap-looking lighting effects. The worst thing is that you can almost always only see the speaker in photos or videos with the lighting activated. The good thing about it is that you can deactivate it completely and it is never activated automatically when you switch on, for example. I can assure you, in reality the UBOOM X looks pretty neat. Here you can see it in comparison with various other speakers. [https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61PlQ6nf1tL.jpg](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61PlQ6nf1tL.jpg) [https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61z8-jHMHlL.jpg](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61z8-jHMHlL.jpg) [https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/714bafOIKRL.jpg](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/714bafOIKRL.jpg) You've seen the sound comparison video with the Beolit 20, right? It's strange, but in the current market situation for Bluetooth speakers, you have to decide whether you want to prioritise design or sound. A high-priced designer speaker does not automatically offer better sound. This may come as a surprise, as you can often have contrasting experiences in the classic hi-fi sector, for example.
r/WirelessSpeakers • Best portable speaker (best sound) ->I'm very curious to know how you like it. For a very neutral sound at medium to high volume, you can try out the following EQ in the EarFun Audio app under Custom Equalizer. [UBOOM X neutral sounding EQ](https://ibb.co/C5hJ7rvx)
r/WirelessSpeakers • Best portable speaker (best sound) ->A brief fact-based comparison between the Tribit Stormbox Blast 2 and the EarFun UBOOM X. The only advantages of the Blast 2 are a slightly higher maximum volume with acceptable sound, connection options for microphones (with reverb control) and the more elaborate party lighting. The UBOOM X has advantages in all other aspects. It can produce a deeper bass and a better overall sound quality, i.e. a more linear frequency response, better clarity, more authentic separation and reproduction of instruments and vocals. It really does have audiophile qualities. It can be charged more quickly via USB C, a shoulder strap is included, it is noticeably smaller, lighter and significantly cheaper. It can therefore be said that the UBOOM X is the better overall package for most users. It is the speaker for music lovers. The Blast 2, on the other hand, is better suited for smaller (karaoke) parties. For a real party, however, I would prefer a JBL PartyBox 320 or something even bigger.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What is the best Big Boombox speaker? ->I can only confirm this!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What’s the loudest speaker, with the best sound, that I can easily take on an airplane? Under $300 please. ->Of the four, definitely the Boombox 3. If money is no object in your decision and you want a branded product, it's not a bad choice. You get the best price-performance ratio with the EarFun UBOOM X. It is more compact and noticeably lighter than any of the other four, i.e. easier and more comfortable to carry around, if that is relevant for your father. In terms of sound, you make no compromises. The boombox is slightly more bass-heavy, while the UBOOM X sounds very balanced and can be adjusted very well in the app with EQs to suit different listening situations.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Help me find the right speaker ->Take a look at the UBOOM X, in terms of performance it is far superior to a JBL Charge 5 or a UE Boom 3, and unlike the JBL PartyBoxes it is IP67 dust and water protected. And for less than $250 you can even buy two and use both in TWS mode depending on your application. This could be a really interesting speaker for your needs.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What is the best wireless bluetooth speaker? (outdoor & paties) ->It's about time those nasty rabble-rousers who have been calling everyone a shill or bot who has spoken positively about or recommended the UBOOM X finally acknowledge it's a truly great speaker. This is being confirmed by more and more people here in the subreddit, including myself.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best boombox speaker ->Check the EarFun UBOOM X. Small is of course relative. Let's put it this way, the UBOOM X is relatively small compared to your car and definitely great! 😉
r/Bluetooth_Audiophile • Best portable Bluetooth speaker for car recs ->As an alternative to the Tribit Stormbox Blast 2, you should also take a look at the EarFun UBOOM X. A brief fact-based comparison: The only advantages of the Blast 2 are a slightly higher maximum volume with acceptable sound, connection options for microphones (with reverb control) and the more elaborate party lighting. The UBOOM X has advantages in all other respects. It can produce deeper bass and better overall sound quality, i.e. a more linear frequency response, better clarity, more authentic separation and reproduction of instruments and vocals. It has truly audiophile qualities. It's faster to charge via USB C, it comes with a shoulder strap, it's noticeably smaller, lighter and, depending on what's on offer, only costs about half as much. Or in other words, for the same money you could buy two UBOOM X and use them in TWS. Two speakers in stereo sound more than twice as good as just one and really bring music to life with their wide sound stage. So you could say that the UBOOM X is the better overall package for most users. It is the speaker with the best price-performance ratio and is equally suitable for music lovers and smaller parties. The Blast 2, on the other hand, is only better suited for smaller karaoke parties. For a really big party, however, I would prefer one/two JBL PartyBox 320 or something even bigger.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • I'm looking for a bass speaker up to 300$. ->Yes, it can reproduce lower frequencies better.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • I'm looking for a bass speaker up to 300$. ->Again, for the record, the EarFun UBOOM X, is exactly what you're looking for. It is more compact and noticeably lighter than the Boombox 2 but performs at a comparable level - both in terms of volume and bass performance. In addition, you get a much more neutral, brilliant and hi-fi like sound. And the price is outrageously attractive. With the UBOOM X, you don't have to sacrifice anything. The only thing you lose is a little weight and a brand name. 😉
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for a Smaller Alternative to JBL Boombox 2 with Similar Power & Bass ->It was exactly the same for me, except that I bought two. 😉
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->It was thanks to you that I became aware of this great speaker in the first place. Thank you for that and for your part in it. 🙏
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->The JBL Boombox 3 offers more power overall than the Brane X and the Authentics 500. Alternatively, you could also go for the Earfun UBOOM X, which performs at a similar level to the Boombox 3, but is not only more compact and lighter, but also cheaper. For your budget, you could easily buy two for a stereo setup. If you have enough space in the garage, which I assume you do, you could distribute the sound much better in the room with two speakers. The difference is huge, with a wide stereo stage the music really comes to life and fills the whole room.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What’s the best garage speaker? ->With the EarFun UBOOM X, you get an incredibly huge upgrade in terms of sound. But the speaker is big and heavy. Check out the specs! I have never heard another Bluetooth speaker with such audiophile hi-fi sound. But it's not a designer speaker. You have to ask yourself where you are willing to compromise, on looks or on sound. I myself have a high-quality hi-fi system in my living room and am a music lover, but the sound of the UBOOM X, which I use in the bathroom, also regularly brings a smile to my face.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bose soundlink max or Marshall middleton ->Some pretty strange recommendations have been made here so far. With the EarFun UBOOM X, you undoubtedly get the best sound for your money. I compared it individually and as a stereo pair with my hi-fi system at home. And we tested them in a friend's music studio. [https://ibb.co/3rHmRRT](https://ibb.co/3rHmRRT) Of course, they weren't on a par with the $3000 ATC SCM 16 monitors and the ADAM Audio Sub12, nor with my Canton Ergo RC-L floorstanding speakers, but they performed damn well up to a medium volume level. And that's saying something. The UBOOM X is not a speaker that sounds good for its price, but a speaker that sounds sensationally good for a portable Bluetooth speaker. It has hi-fi qualities and it's a pleasure to sit in front of it and consciously listen to music. This thing sounds so good that it regularly puts a grin on your face. I don't know the space conditions in your room. For your budget of 250 $, you could also buy two UBOOM Xs and use them in TWS as a stereo system. Please note, two speakers in stereo sound more than twice as good as one and the music only really comes to life with a wide sound stage. The UBOOM X is far superior in terms of sound to the three speakers mentioned in you post headline. I can't understand how anyone can still recommend the Tribit Stormbox Blast 1 today. Most people who have heard both speakers, like me, see the UBOOM X as having advantages in overall sound quality and it also has a deeper and more powerful bass. In addition, the Blast 1 is noticeably larger and heavier, cannot be charged via USB C but requires a power adapter, has no shoulder strap and is more expensive. So what's in its favor? The comparison between the EarFun Uboom X and the Tribit Stormbox Blast 2 is more interesting: The advantages of the Blast 2 are a slightly higher maximum volume with acceptable sound, connection options for microphones (with reverb control) and the more elaborate party lighting. So you could say that the UBOOM X is the better overall package for most users. It is the speaker with the best price-performance ratio and is equally suitable for music lovers and smaller parties. The Blast 2, on the other hand, is only better suited for smaller karaoke parties.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bose soundlink flex 2 vs jbl charge 5 vs soundcore boom ->Tried the U boom X and seems like a decent speaker. Much better than my onyx 7. Similarly priced in India. Give it a listen. Best part about it is the Eq i usually use Studio for the stable audio and its fucking rugged man. Looking to get another, only on sale tho. The speaker will go Boom boom if you want it to its very bass heavy.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Absolute best speaker under $400? ->The UBOOM X does indeed rock. It's a great budget option for something that gets nice and loud, has quality EQ options, and some cool RGB party lights. Check my review if you want to learn more about it! Cheers. r/Bluetooth_Speakers • My picks for some of the best Bluetooth speakers you can buy right now ->This review covers these three models paired in TWS mode: * 2x Earfun UBOOM L ($50 each) * 2x Earfun UBOOM X ($118 each) * 2x Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 (usually $250-$350 each, got them on sale for $128) All have impressive clarity and soundstage when in TWS mode but obviously the UBOOM X and Harman are in a different class than the smaller/cheaper UBOOM L (was initially comparing two UBOOM Ls to one UBOOM X, then ordered a second UBOOM X and had TWS stutter issues, then got the Harmans). # Pros common to UBOOM L and X * iOS and Android app (speaker info, battery status, firmware updates, EQ and other customizations, etc.) * Excellent battery life * USB-C charging * Ruggedized and IP67 waterproof * Regularly available at lower prices than the competition # Cons common to UBOOM L and X * Off-axis sound quality is mediocre. # UBOOM L Pros * Small and light enough for travelling or tossing in a bag * Inexpensive # UBOOM L Cons * Not as much bass and limited volume (to be expected since the other speakers are \~7 times bigger) # UBOOM X Pros * More immersive sound than UBOOM L * Many EQ profiles * Shape, handle, and strap make it somewhat easy to move around for its size/weight * Lighting effects * Huge battery (60 Wh) # UBOOM X Cons * Hefty for traveling, especially if using a pair * When using an EQ (Oluv or custom) while in TWS mode, audio drops intermittently and sometimes frequently (might happen 5 times in 5 minutes, might not happen for hours). Don't have this problem with the other speakers in TWS (edit: this is a known issue; explanation from Earfun [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Bluetooth_Speakers/comments/1htkbxi/comment/m5g0p77/)). # Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 Pros * The best audio quality of all of them * Sounds significantly better off-axis than the UBOOMs. * Though TWS mode is the way to go, a single Go + Play 3 still sounds quite good (while the sound quality of a single UBOOM L or X isn't as impressive). * Upscale aesthetics and clean look * Glass surface with touch-buttons (also a con) # Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 Cons * Normally expensive * Slightly heavier than the UBOOM X * Awkward shape and handle * No app (there is an EQ available via button combinations, though the Harman sounds excellent with the default profile) * Gotta pair in stereo mode every time they're turned on (a minor complaint as it only takes seconds, but don't have to do this with the Earfuns). * Lacks IP67 waterproof rating and isn't ruggedized like the Earfuns. Downward facing sub doesn’t have any protection beyond being recessed (they're meant to be used on a flat surface). * Fabric cover attracts dust/hair and won't be as easy to clean. * Touch-buttons are difficult to see/use in the dark. * Doesn't charge over USB-C (but at least there's no transformer and it uses a standard non-polarized C7 Figure 8 PC cable). * Smaller battery (26 Wh) # Conclusion * Returned the UBOOM Xs. The TWS stuttering issue means no custom/Oluv EQ, which results in sound quality that isn’t nearly as satisfying. * Kept the UBOOM Ls for work and travel. They're very portable, and sound great in a small quiet space when pointed right at you. * Kept the Harmans for use around the house, porch, and backyard. They can't touch my Denon Polk hi-fi setup, but they're still very enjoyable, and being *somewhat* portable makes them far more useful (though they aren't suitable for many situations given the lack of ruggedization or IP67). Edit: Cleaned up wording, added a few details, linked to Earfun's explanation about TWS stutter.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Review: Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 vs Earfun UBOOM X vs UBOOM L ->Thanks for posting. Very interesting details! I bought two Earfun UBOOM X speakers last fall and very much enjoyed their sound when using your profiles. I returned them because of sound drops when paired in TWS mode (a known issue), but I was impressed with the responsiveness of Earfun support when I was troubleshooting the issue, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the UBOOM X to anyone who doesn't intend to use two of them in TWS mode. (I also have two UBOOM L speakers, which sound impressive given their size and inexpensive price)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->Thank you, I have updated the firmware and tried the standard EQ's and made some custom too. I've got a earfun uboom x, this has much more bass, I've purchased the custom EQ's online, I know it's more hassle, but it sounds really good. I expected so much more from the X20.....I will persist, on paper, the X20 should be better, unfortunately it's not there yet.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Loud, bassy speaker recommendations? ->Thanks m8, appreciate your time. I checked out the link and even tho I know it surely sounds ignorant, when I saw the pricepoint of the Uboom X I thought this comparison can't be right. The absolute best sounding one costs way below 200? But I read a little through the articles and I guess if great sound can be that cheap, I would be insane to get me a much more expensive one that sounds worse. It's not a beauty, but oh well, pretty sure I hear it more than I see it. And yes the Sonos are warm in general, I prefer it leaning to the warmer side, especially when it comes to the highs, ever since the Beyer Dynamic 1990 pro and their ear piercing highs I'm pretty sensible when it comes to that, but overall neutral is what I prefer. Give me mids and highs from the HS7 with deep bass in a cute compact package and I'm happy, but since physics say no, I have to go with something else.
r/WirelessSpeakers • Best portable speaker (best sound) ->You matched the "Rituals" neatly with the box, I give you that, stuff smells awesome xD I haven't seen it in person yet tbf, the pictures on their website give me that teenager partybox vibe with the lgbt lights. I mean I guess it doesn't look bad compared to many other speakers like jbl. I'm just not into that classic boombox vibe in general. Unfortunately almost all "nice looking imo" speakers offer mostly terrible value.
r/WirelessSpeakers • Best portable speaker (best sound) ->I got me Sonos One when the Echo hype was on, I heard it in a store and was playing some pretty loud beats. I was looking around, because I couldn't find any bigger speaker. I was very surprised with the sound of that tiny box. I do like Sonos, they might not be the best value, but they are pretty good compared to many other well known companies. Tbf I think the UboomX looks ugly as hell, but if the sound is that great I have to give it a shot. I want to visit the bang and olufsen store, I like the Beosound A5, seems to be a neat package. I don't need to listen to it to know it's not worth the money, but I'm curious how something cheap like the UboomX compares to something that costs a magnitude of it.
r/WirelessSpeakers • Best portable speaker (best sound) ->Thank you, at this price point I can't go wrong by just ordering one and hear for myself. I tested a variety of speakers and know what's good when I hear it. Unfortunately almost all outlets are biased and straight up bought. If I google for it I get Bose/Teufel etc. and if I learned one thing, both offer terrible value.
r/WirelessSpeakers • Best portable speaker (best sound) ->Thanks for the info, got to admit, looks much better in your pics than in the advertising. I'm still not a fan of the looks but I can live with that. I haven't seen the comparison, just started to do my research, been in a house with plenty of space and used full size speakers. I went with the "boring looks" but great value option, that's why I got Nubert and Yamaha at home. The only boombox I own is some old Teufel one my dad gifted to me many moons ago. Tbf that thing is like 15 years old and was used during countless pool&grill days, it got splashed a hundret times and it still works like a charm, but the sound is not the best. Initially I said sound over design, but during this conversation I realized that design seems more important to me than I thought. I like the looks of the designer speakers and I could afford it as well, but I won't spend that kind of money if it's 20% sound and 80% design and branding. I ordered the Uboom already, if it's as good as claimed, I guess I'll just vibe with it.
r/WirelessSpeakers • Best portable speaker (best sound) ->Good to know, would have been 100% disappointed until I found out the eq part. Greatly appreciate your insight, now I'm curiously waiting on the Uboom.
r/WirelessSpeakers • Best portable speaker (best sound) ->I do own a older sonos one which I use in my kitchen, it's good for what it is. The whole idea of the Move 2 is cool, very durable, you got the wireless charging station etc. I listened to the move 2 compared to the A5 and uboomx and it sounded a little lifeless to me. Sonos is known to be on the warmer side of life which is totally fine, but I'm more into neutral sounding speakers. For my personal preference it's lacks clarity. I'm very jelly of your branex, I can't get my hands on one in germany, read a lot of great things about it, wouuld love to get one.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • B&O Beosound A5 review ->Heard a lot of good stuff about the go&play, it's pretty linear and offers a lot for the price. I'm aiming more towards the brane x but unfortunately it's not available in my cuntry as of now. I haven't tried the HK, I assume it's warmer and more bass heavy than the A5. I was honestly surprised by the standard sound profile, it's very neutral, I was expecting a warm setup. It doesn't go very loud and the bass is nothing to ride home about, but I feel like the precision and responsiveness is incredible. It really does remind me a little of my Yamaha HS7, I love a neutral dry sound. Which is pretty uncommon, so I wouldn't be surprised if many dislike the sound of the A5.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • B&O Beosound A5 review ->I found very little on the A5 besides generic magazine tests, so I felt like sharing my experience. I have a uboom x and I can tell you that it really gives the A5 a run for it's money. It's hard to put into perspective but roughly I'd say the uboomx performs on 75-80% sound quality wise compared to the A5. The bass is more intense and voluminous than the A5 but not as precise and responsive, similar experience with the mids, the A5 features 3 midrange drivers if I'm not wrong and they are so dry and responsive it's really incredible for the size, I wouldn't say the mids of the uboomx are sloppy, they also sound really good, but the A5 got the edge. In terms of highs, both speakers are almost on the same level, clarity is great on both, but I feel like the A5 is able to display little details more natural and well.. detailed. In summary the uboomx offers about 10x more value than the A5, pair two uboomx together and it will outperform the A5 and it's still so much cheaper. Even tho I'd call myself a sound enthusiast, I'm not a a hi-fi freak by any means, so take this comparison with a grain of salt.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • B&O Beosound A5 review ->I mean, there's no accounting for taste. But what exactly is so ugly about the UBOOM X? Why are you being so negative about this speaker? Did it run over your cat or something?
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best premium medium-large portable BT speaker (can be carried) any price ->But it sounds like a premium product. When it comes to speakers, good sound is a pretty important feature.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best premium medium-large portable BT speaker (can be carried) any price ->A pair of EarFun UBOOM X are hard to beat. But even a single one sounds fantastic. No other speaker offers more sound for your money and is so widely hated, especially on this subreddit. That's why I advise you to look elsewhere for information as well, e.g., on YouTube or review sites, and ignore the downvotes.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth speaker between $200-$400 in the U.S? ->When hiking, you probably don't want to lug around a speaker as big as the Soundcore Boom 2 plus or Rockster Cross (the first generation of which, by the way, is available in Germany for around 80 euros). I would rather go for the Charge 6 or, alternatively, the Teufel Rockster Go 2. But if you really want a boombox-class speaker, check out the EarFun UBOOM X. No other speaker currently offers better value for money. And it's superior to the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus in terms of sound quality.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Advise me in buying a good Bluetooth-Speaker for hiking ->Take a look at the EarFun UBOOM X. Hardly any other speaker offers more for your money. But beware: there are some haters in this subreddit. That's why I advise you to look for information elsewhere as well, e.g. on YouTube or review sites, and ignore the downvotes.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best large Bluetooth speaker for a car ->I really like my Earfun UBoomX. It's loud. I have a big yard and my pool sits in the backyard. I can put this on the patio and hear it all the way out to the pool at half volume. It has a really nice sound to it, almost like a giant PA speaker would have. My only complaint is it's heavier than expected.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best portable Bluetooth speaker to Buy? ->+1 for the uboom. I researched speakers for months. This was in the price range I wanted to spend and it delivers. Very good sound. Has an EQ companion app so you can adjust bass level. I use mine on my patio and can listen to it from my pool which is quite a distance away. This would be perfect to use in a car. It’s loud!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best large Bluetooth speaker for a car ->I just received mine. I’m blown away at how loud it is. Only drawback is it’s heavy - 9lb but holy crap is it powerful.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Speaker for outdoor activities ->I don't know the battery life but the UBoom X is the loudest speaker for the price and size that I've ever seen.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for a super loud speaker for work ->I can see your point, when I place it on my small table my Uboom L always tend to sound muffle because of the close and lower placement, added with the bass reflection of the wall behind. The latency is the biggest reason stopping me using this as a PC speaker, the Uboom L is working good when I put it in my living room table and it can play some really nice music, but since I already got Uboom X for living room now I see no point in using the Uboom L.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Honest review of the Earfun Uboom L. ->I once compared my UboomX and Blast outdoor, At 5 meters distance, they fare against each other, for me when the blast plays at 60-80% volume and UboomX 60%-80% volume (This is the volume I would listen to when 5 meters away), the blast somehow sound smoother, sweeter, less aggressive, more boomy feeling, meanwhile the UboomX sparklier maybe sometime boxy and metallic, but all that comes to a price, you said you like the stereo and listening at side performence of UboomX, to get those advantage Oluv has to tuned it aggressively and pull the treble eq up and when you listen to it closely and stand direct infront of it, it would sometimes sound harsh and metallic. But when we talk about listening to the speakers 15 meters or 20 meters away, here is where UboomX shine, at 80%-100% volume UboomX getting louder and louder in each volume steps, it is outstanding that this speaker can be listened that far away and still have those kicking and bass, meanwhile my blast can only perform good when listen to it 5-10 meters away. For Indoor listening since we only use 60%-70% volume of the speaker and don't need the stereo imaging performence, some might just prefer the warm sweet signature of the blast, me personally still wouldn't care since the UboomX is way better in outdoor (please tell me your opinion if you not agree). BTW, in the recent patreon post of Oluv, he mentioned that all of the UboomX units he bought recently just sound different to his tunning prototype, the units tend to have 1-2 dB less than the prototype and most importantly, there are like a -5 dB in 2k-5k Hz region, which would make UboomX a lot darker that Oluv originally want it to be. I tried using PowerAMP EQ and add a QValue 3.6 , 3.5K Hz, 5dB gain peak, and the speaker sound more alive now, Oluv said that he would soon post the first correction EQ in his patreon, later on there would be a desktop EQ and a TWS EQ, 3 firmwares in total, which I am very looking forward to, and I don't mind giving credit to his work so yeah I would buy those EQ.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Tribit Stormbox Blast vs. Earfun Uboom X - In depth review ->Well it is a cheap plastic speaker that looks and feels like it was put together in a poor remote Chinese factory. While the sound quality isn't bad by any means, it's really not anything impressive, so sorry not everyone is blown away this speaker. I would take my HK Onyx Studio 7, Motion Boom Plus 2,Sony XG500, or even the Stormbox Blast over this any day. The highs and mids are flat and lifeless and while the bass is without a doubt impressive, it is boomy and muddled and overpowers the music on certain tracks. It is a decent speaker at low to mid volume depending on the type of music. If you want to get upset and insult my ears, feel free, but my opinion stands. This speaker will collect dust until I find someone to pawn it off on. Maybe they will enjoy it as much as you think everyone else should.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->I liked indoor+ and outdoor tbe most. I also tried my own custom EQ to see if I could match it to my preferences, and could never get it there like I can with other speakers. Considering the Studio 7 is my favorite of the speakers I own, the fact you find it a joke is pretty ironic in itself. None of my other speakers reach the depth of sub bass that speakers does and it is not overpowering. I will concede the Boom x matches second place for sub bass with the XG500 i own, but it gets overpowering and muddy sounding with certain songs. The Boom 2 plus has the least sub bass and can get distorted at high volumes, but I use it for my shower and it works a treat in there. Everyone has different ears and preferences to sound. The Boom X still beats out a lot of speakers I've tried, but overall its just meh to my ears and it still looks and feels like one of the cheapest around.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->If you’re moving around a speaker I’d say go with Earfun Uboom X. I have an older Playbar with gen 3 subs and 2 Play:1’s. Also have a One in the kitchen as well as One in the bathroom. They do fine. I just have other speakers that sound just as good or even better without having connectivity issues. I run Tribit Stormbox Blast (original) and 2 Stormbox Micro 2’s. No way I’d recommend the Move 2. The era 300 especially in a pair are a great pair, but that’s just so much money for entry audiophile equipment.
r/sonos • Is the Era 300 a good first Sonos purchase? ->Do you have any size restrictions? Earfun Uboom X would fit your budget very well, but is on the larger side. Soundcore Motion+ or Earfun Uboom L are very portable, have a nice soundstage and separation. With 120 $, you could get two of either and use them in stereo mode.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best bluetooth speaker for 120$ with sound quality ? ->Somehow I can't reply to replies. But to the other two replies regarding my initial comment: I don't plan on using two UBoom X, so unfortunately I can't answer that question for you, as I haven't tested it. All I know is that the stuttering issues when using Oluvs EQs, which are the main reason to buy it, are a known issue with the X. There are official answers from Earfun regarding this. Two Soundcore Boom 2 should outperform one Uboom X. They can sometimes be bought from the Anker outlet for ~65$ so you wouldn't be much more expensive than one Uboom X. Two UBoom X using a decent own EQ sound amazing, but are more expensive than two Boom 2. Tldr: as a single speaker, the Uboom X is amazing, but two Boom 2 should outperform it. I have tested roughly 20 speakers in the past few weeks and the UBoom X is by far the best single speaker I have encountered. No, I am not paid by them and I am also not using thorough testing methods like Alan Ross. It's all up to personal preference. If you follow my comments, I hope you noticed that I always try to adapt my recommendations to the individual use case. But if you haven't heard it yet, I would suggest trying the UBoom X in Oluvs EQ yourself and let me know if you like it :)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best bluetooth speaker for 120$ with sound quality ? ->Move 2 is probably the highest quality speaker in this price range. Brane X might surpass it though. And if you want to save some money, the UBoom X with a decent EQ is a nice and loud budget option.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for all around good portable speaker sub $500 ->How important is mobility? The two best sounding speakers are probably the Earfun UBoom X with some tuning and the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3. Earfun is more portable, more durable and way cheaper, the H/K looks more presentable.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • best bluetooth speaker for under 300 ->They are both between 4-5 kg. You could also get two UBoom X for a very capable stereo setup or two smaller ones like the Earfun Uboom L for a more discrete, yet nice sounding setup.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • best bluetooth speaker for under 300 ->The Bluetooth speaker with the deepest bass should be Brane X, but it's pricey and bigger than Charge etc. Earfun Uboom X goes pretty low and is affordable, but bigger than Charge etc. Charge size speakerS that are said to have decent bass are probably Charge and Bose Flex 2.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Smallest BT speaker with Best Bass response? ->If your UE sounded better, it might be a dud. Try the Earfun Uboom X if you want. It's the overall better speaker imo.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->It's a great speaker, but you will be paying quite a bit more - where I live it's at least three times the price of Boom 2 or UBoom X and twice the Tribit Blast, which is also a fine choice but needs an AC to charge, or Boom 2 Plus.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Waterproof Bluetooth speaker recommendation for Car ->If the JBL Partybox 110/120 is too expensive, go for 2 or more UBoom X. You can pair them up, but be aware that party or tws mode will drain the battery faster (as is the case with all speakers). The Stormbox is nowhere loud enough. Strombox Blast would also work, but needs a bigger charger.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Portable Speakers for small party ->Earfun Uboom X with UBOOMXXX discount code on official website
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Smallest BT speaker with Best Bass response? ->Yeah sorry I completely forgot to edit my post but I found it and bought it, thanks again !
r/WirelessSpeakers • Looking for the best speaker at the 100-150$ price range ->Last I checked I wasn’t a bot. I don’t know how close the UBOOM X is to the higher priced options, frankly I’m not sure I could even tell and don’t really care. What matters to me is that it has awesome bass and sounds fantastic at a fraction of the price. Right now on Amazon US with the $30 coupon and discount code “UBOOMXXX” it’s $125.92 out the door. A stereo pair is still $150 under your budget. For me, the value proposition is too compelling to ignore, ymmv.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best boombox speaker ->Love these speakers and have no regrets, but here’s what I’ve seen TWS Stutter: -Gets worse when streaming through weak wifi or cell reception. -Virtually non-existent on any when streaming from locally hosted files on an iPod (or mp3 player, etc., I assume). -Updating to .41 helped. -Shutting down the Earfun app definitely helps. -Doesn’t happen on Studio. -Doesn’t happen with Custom EQs (b/c Oluv’s profiles do a lot more). Haven’t used Outdoor(+) much yet b/c winter, but will soon.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->Expensive: Harmon Kardon Go+ Play 3. Budget: Earfun Uboom X. (I bought the latter. Larger battery, app with full EQ, professionally tuned presets)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Punchiest bass on home/portable speaker? 2025 ->I own both speakers. UBoom X has more deep bass and I usually prefer it for indoor listening. However, once you bump up the volume, the sound quickly starts to feel compressed and muddy. The effect can be lessened by using Oluv's presets or his custom firmware, though it still feels a bit lacking in some areas. Boom 2 Plus is definitely louder and holds up well at higher volumes, therefore I prefer it for outdoor/party listening. It has less deep bass and more mid-/upper bass. I also get more playtime per charge out of the Boom 2 Plus. For me, one speaker does not replace the other and both get used often.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth speaker around €150 right now? (Soundcore Boom 2 Plus on sale 👀) ->Don't quote me on that though, as I have not measured the actual runtime and I might be completely mistaken. I get about a 5-6 workdays worth of listening out of both of them. UBoom X usually at ~30% volume and the Boom 2 Plus at ~20% volume — their perceived volume levels matching. Edit: Would you mind sharing your EQ?
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth speaker around €150 right now? (Soundcore Boom 2 Plus on sale 👀) ->Uboom X is an 80 watt boombox class of speaker You're comparing it to a small sized 20 watt Bose. Compare the Uboom to the SoundLink Max boombox and watch the Uboom cry.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Finally found my speaker! ->flawed, no earfun UBoom X, should be #1 (not a shill) [https://ibb.co/ZpnTqxm1](https://ibb.co/ZpnTqxm1)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • I analyzed Reddit for the 25 most recommended portable bluetooth speakers in the past year (Mar 2025) ->I have a Tribit Stormbox Blast 1, which RTINGS measures at 96.7 dB. IMO this speaker is plenty for most outdoor activities or a small group gathering. However it is currently selling for $199 on Amazon, I got mine for $155. The Earfun Uboom X, I think is about the same max volume and is $129 on Amazon
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What is a good bluetooth speaker that makes 80-120 decibels sound at 100-170usd ->Bluetooth is backwards compatible, so doesn't matter if the phone is old, it'll still work with newer bluetooth speakers. I have 2 Stormbox Blasts and they sounds really good together. But if you want to save some money, check out the Earfun Uboom X instead.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Portable Speakers for small party ->thanks, great video! I was caught offguard by how good the Uboom L sounded! Also, I can definitely hear the richer sound coming from the Earfun UBoom X vs the Soundcore Boom 2 (BTW, its really annoying how similarly named all these speakers are!!). I'm just pondering over whether the weight will be an issue for me. Also, I wish the Uboom X came in a few colors, its so dull looking in black! Thanks again!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Cant hear my Bose Flex 2 outdoors!! What should replace it?? ->I agree with the other replies that two speakers are better than one. It depends on how big you are willing to carry around. My favorite that I've settled on is the Soundcore Boom 2. Although it is slightly larger than my idea size for a portable speaker, the handle makes it easy to move around. In my opinion it is just about the perfect balance of size, clarity, and bass for a portable speaker. It has great sound and great bass (even outside). It just won't fit in a small spot. For a smaller speaker, I would recommend the Earfun Uboom L or the Soundcore Motion 300 or the Bose Soundlink Flex. Again, a pair of these in stereo will get the best most room filling sound. All of these are small and easy to carry and easy to place anywhere. If you just want one speaker, I would recommend the Tribit Stormbox Blast or the Earfun Uboom X. They both sound great, with full sound, clarity, and deep bass. But they are huge! Probably not easily carried from room to room, but that that is your decision to make. The Soundcore Boom 2 would be good as a single speaker too, with a smaller size, but it won't sound quite as good as these other two.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Budget indoor speakers with great sound quality ->I've been using the Earfun Uboom L for a long while now for ALL of my bluetooth speaker needs (work desk, on the deck, around the fire, camping, in the garage, etc.). I really love the speaker, especially when paired with another in TWS. However, **I have been looking for something with a little more bass and fullness, especially when outdoors. I really value clarity, fullness, bass, and neutrality, in that order.** After some research on this subreddit, **I decided to try the Soundcore Boom 2**. I saw a video on youtube comparing the Boom 2 to the Boom 2 SE (Walmart's version of the Boom 2). **For those of you that don't know, the Boom 2 SE has two 2.76" full range drivers, where the regular Boom 2 has one 3.54" x 4.72" racetrack woofer and two .79" tweeters.** In the video, both speakers sounded good, with the Boom 2 having more bass, but also sounding a little muddy (loss of detail due to the loud bass). I decided to purchase the SE, which I got from Walmart for $79. The SE arrived and I compared it to my Uboom L. Inside and outside, near and far, with all different types of music (mainly jazz, lofi, synth, acoustic, and rock). **I will say that the SE sounded better than the Uboom L for the most part.** The bass was better, it was fuller, and clarity was similar. It was decent at low volumes (which is how I listen to music most of the time), but the Uboom L is king at ultra low volume (10-20%)! **One thing about the SE though, is that it kind of sounded like the music was coming from inside of the speaker.** I know that sounds silly, because of course it is coming from inside the speaker, but one of the best things about the Uboom L is that it sounds really open and airy like the music is coming from the air rather than from the speaker itself. I really love that quality. I also tried the Soundcore Motion 300 against the Uboom L too and although it sounded really good (more bass, fuller), it also wasn't as open and airy. So after testing, I decided to keep the SE for outdoor use as it seemed better for those needs. But....I was just too curious to know what the regular Boom 2 sounded like. Was it better? I had to be sure I picked the right one. So I bought the regular Boom 2 off Amazon for $99. It arrived and I tested it against the SE (inside/outside, near/far, etc.) and **WOW, the regular Boom 2 is so much better.** Yes it's bass is boomy, but you can adjust the EQ to tame that down. Once it is tamed down, **it is actually a really clear sounding speaker with great bass** (just what I was looking for!). And another great thing, **it actually sounds open and airy, like the music is NOT coming from a box.** I'm also really happy with the form factor. It's not too big. I tried the Uboom X as well, which sounded GREAT, but it was just too big for my needs. The Boom 2 is between the Uboom L and the Uboom X in size. Plus the flat rectangular box shape works well for laying it flat (like the Motion 300 or Bose Flex) for more of a 360 sound (though it needs a LOT of adjustment to make the sound OK in that orientation, and even then, it doesn't sound super). **It's actually a pretty directional speaker that does not sound as well off axis or in this upward orientation.** I'm really happy with it so far (maybe I'll get another for TWS!) and my recommendation for anyone would be to spend the extra $20 for the regular Boom 2 as it's really a lot better.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore Boom 2 vs Soundcore Boom 2 SE (Review) ->Unfortunately I never had the Uboom X and the Boom 2 at the same time to get a fair comparison. I remember really liking the UBX, but just thinking that it was too big for my needs. UBX is better in all regards(bass, loudness, overall sound) but it’s much larger (about twice the volume of the B2) and I’ve been REALLY happy with the sound quality on the B2 with proper EQ.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore Boom 2 vs Soundcore Boom 2 SE (Review) ->The Earfun Uboom X is really good. So is the Tribit Stormbox Blast.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for an outdoor speaker for my backyard. ->I had a Tribit Stormbox. Awesome bass and that was the best boombox you could get for under $200 IMO. Earfun Uboom X is my go to budget blaster now but if you need something more portable and lighter than 9lbs check out some reviews of the Soundcore Boom 2 or even more compact Bose flex2.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best bang for your buck portable Bluetooth speaker? [$300 max but I’d rather go cheaper] ->A Pair of Earfun Uboom X speakers will deliver the best sound for that budget. Not the lightest boombox around but packs a punch and not as heavy as the Tribit Blast and & JBL Boombox. Harmon Kardon Go + play is highly rated and one of the best sounding portables in that $ range. You could get a pair of Earfun Uboom Ls or pair of Soundcore Boom 2s for under $200 that will deliver great sound on their own but really fill a room with a stereo pair.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What's the Best Bluetooth Speaker to Buy in 2025? (Price, Sound, Battery) ->The 3.6lb Boom 2 is easy to toss in a bag and will cover 20 people indoors. The little tribit Micro is more of a personal & podcast speaker. For outdoors the 9lb Earfun Uboom X or heavier Tribit Blast & Wking x20 are going to better for 20 people partying.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Need speaker upgrade – budget $200, portable but loud/bassy ->I had a Tribit Blast and it kicked ass. Picked up a Uboom X and it kicked ass too but was a little bit lighter and $50 less than the Blast. LG XBoom Stage 301 and the W-king x-20 are louder boomboxes than the Tribit & Earfun... Also check out the ZEALOT ZE21 if you need a speaker that can push the mids and hit harder down low than a Tribit Blast 2 on battery. Here is a test of the Zealot Vs. the Blast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZixAKX49hg&t=660s
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Loudest portable speakers under $150 ->The Soundcore Booms are great speakers for the size and weight and really great when you factor in the cost. You may just want to grab a second one for parties and wider stereo. The next big step up is the Earfun Uboom X. Not as portable as a Motion Boom because of the extra weight but the bass output is unbeatable for the money. Sounds nice and you can EQ it to sound even better. I would love a Brane X for the small form factor and deep deep bass but $500 is not chump change! You can get a pair of Motion Boom 2 's for $140 and pair of Uboom X speakers for under $300.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What’s a good portable speaker with a LOT of bass? ->I had four Motion Booms, A motion Boom Plus and a Tribit Blast. The blast was best for deep bass. Gave away the heavy Blast to make room for the lighter Earfun UboomX which is $109 at amazon and supposed to match the output of the Blast & Blast2.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Where is the LOUD portable bluetooth speaker to dance in public? ->Earfun UBoom X is loud and sounds good. Not too expensive, fits in a backpack. (9 lbs) Soundcore Boom 2 is lighter (3.6lbs.)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Loudest Portable Bluetooth Speaker ->A few good suggestions here Bose Flex 2 is great at low volume. Earfun Uboom L is also decent for the size and a good value. (Grab a stereo pair for $100!). Bigger speakers like the Soundcore Motion boom 2 and Earfun Uboom X will reproduce a deeper thicker bass than the little guys. If you have the funds to get the smallest speaker with the deepest bass check out the Brane X
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Need a Bluetooth speaker that sounds good at low volumes—any recs? ->Tribit Micro is a great pocket speaker. Earfun Uboom X is a high value bass blaster. Bose soundlink flex is a nice middle ground speaker and the JBL flip & Charge have good bass for the size.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Smallest BT speaker with Best Bass response? ->Earfun Uboom X is a solid speaker. Great bass, high output, neutral sound with oluvs eq. (I think a new version might be out). If you do not need a ultralight portable it is the best unit for around $100 that you can find. If you do not need a portable speaker with a battery there are little powered monitors that can do stereo properly with zero latency (Studio Monitor > BT portable)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What is the best sounding speaker (bluetooth or not) for around or under $100 ->Mid grade studio monitors or a small sub/satellite rig will sound better than a battery powered BT speaker for the bedroom. A pair of hefty Tribit Blast 2's or pair of "Earfun Uboom X" speakers will bring more than enough bass and have the wide stereo separation that only a pair of speakers can provide.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best sounding portable speaker to keep in the bedroom under $500usd? Im aiming toward the best audio quality experience possible. ->Pair of U boom x's are $240. That leaves the OP with $260 to spend on bass strings or a new pedal. Pair of Tribit Blast 2 will clobber a single overpriced JBL Boombox in stereo seperation and output and stll cost $100 less. Wired Bookshelf speakers will work better long term with no battery to bork out and better drivers/tweeters than any of the portable speakers.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best sounding portable speaker to keep in the bedroom under $500usd? Im aiming toward the best audio quality experience possible. ->Did you see this comparison Vs the Tribit Blast 2 [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZL\_RCkcFsY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZL_RCkcFsY) I had an original Tribit Blast and that was a beast, the Xdobo is even more powerful. You can still get The lighter Earfun UboomX for around $130 (or a pair for just $260)! 9lbs vs 15lbs The quality & design of the xdobo looks premium compared to the plastic Tribit & Earfun.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Want one boombox. Which should I get. Im on a budget for one. Found this xdobo wow. Should I buy? ->I have a Earfun u boom x. It is good for monitoring but not voiced for musical instruments and lacks the dynamics for bass guitar imo. Might want to look at the louder & larger Zealot ze21 which is slightly more $ or a busking specific amp from JBL, Alto, Mackie or EV.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Smallish speaker with a lot of low end ->It is an impressive speaker for the size and $. Sounds decent with Oluvs EQ settings IMO. Bass is thumping from this unit.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Cheapest best bt speaker with good bass 40W or higher ->I would rather haul my Earfun UboomX outside than any powered bookshelf speaker. Gets crazy loud with decent bass for under $120
r/BudgetAudiophile • Best powered smaller speakers for occasional outdoor use? ->Bose SoundLink flex is what I would look at if you want small & compact. The Earfun u boom L is a nice little speaker too. The Earfun u boom X is not a great looking fabric covered boom box but has balls where counts.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Outdoor speaker for rooftop terrace ->I've bought a lot of speakers for mobile pa purposes. Hard to find something louder than the blast for the size, but it has no battery indicator and the 3-6k region sounds smoothed over. Uboom X isn't as good outdoors, has nicer out of the box eq presets and is better at low volumes for indoor use. Brought two of them to a party for wired stereo use.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Tribit Stormbox Blast vs. Earfun Uboom X - In depth review ->UBoomX 🤓👆not only the best audiophile grade speaker for the price, but also has the lowest temps out of all the YouTube speaker reviews I’ve watched. Check out the “list” and make sure to buy it with the Amazon link provided
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Speaker that will not overheat in the sun for 8+ hours straight ->I just purchased this for my son for Christmas. I consider myself a bit of a audiophile and have always had a low regard for blue tooth speakers as grew up with hifi separates. The high recommendation on this reddit sub during my research helped me choose this over something like a JBL one at similar prices and I am genuinely blown away. It sounds so much bigger than it is and has great stereo separation listening in front. The bass is properly low and treble beautifully sweet. Definitely loud enough too. Drum and Bass or something like Florance and the Machine sounds equally great with amazing detail. So yes, definitely recommend the UBOOM X!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Portable Bluetooth Speaker for under $200 -># Introduction Context for those interested—skip ahead if you just want the deets. I prefer a wide, airy, and open sound, with bass where its presence is felt, not announced. I enjoy the deep below 80Hz bass as it adds weight and fullness, but I reject boomy or extra bass. It ruins most music to have the 100–250Hz range boosted to all hell. I also tend to prefer a more pronounced and separated midrange to feel vocals, synths, and other instruments. This is the most important part of any piece of music. It's where the core of the sound comes from; without it, it sounds weak, hollow; too much of it and everything is shouting and jumbled. It requires true mastery and knowledge to balance out the mids, and>!the Earfun **does not** nail this range as opposed to the Blast.!< # The Review For reference, I tested a few tracks from Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Radiohead, Casiopea, T-SQUARE, some other Japanese 80s City Pop artists, Mastodon, Architects, Loathe, the Risk of Rain 2 Soundtrack, and some more metal and some pop albums. I also watched the a few minutes of Arcane and Blade Runner 2049 over and over again using different eqs and whatnot. I honestly don't know how to start on this, so I'll just jump to the conclusion - **neither of them is the best**, they are both compromising on something to achieve something else, it's up to you to determine what is more important. Objective measurements on these two do not paint a full story - therefore I want to provide a more informed comparison on a musical aspect. # TLDR I decided to keep the Earfun Uboom X purely for the stereo imaging, but this decision was not made without feeling unsatisfied. The sound stage was the single deciding for my use cases. The Tribit has the better sound signature but lacks stereo separation. # TLDR For people just want a boombox for parties and outdoors Either one of them will work, get the cheapest one. They are both built decently, both IP7 but the Earfun is also dust-proof. They match in loudness although Tribit distorts less but the Earfun has slightly more bass. # Extras * **Cost** \- I purchased the Earfun for 160 euro, but there are some other options depending on where you live but I'll assume that it costs the same as the Tribit even though I got the Tribit for cheaper. They are around the same price range and it's all that matters. If you find either at an extreme discount, like below 100 dollaroos or euros, just buy it. These are easily competition for the JBL boombox at a fraction of the cost. * **Build Quality** \- They don't feel all that durable, as in if they fell from 4 feet, they would most likely be permanently damaged. Be careful where you put them. I would say the Tribit feels heftier (possibly due to the extra weight) but the plastic they both use looks absolutely identical. The buttons feel better on the Tribit but that's about all I can say on this topic. They feel better than their price but JBL easily takes the cake if you want a point of reference. * **Lights** \- They both have lights but if you are one of them RGB lights everywhere people, you will prefer the tribit. The earfuns lights are less "in your face". You can customize them slightly on the earfun and a fair bit more on the tribit. However the first thing I did was disable this waste of energy on a bluetooth speaker. It is notable that the earfun doesn't turn off the lights, you have to actually set the light to black. * **App** \- They are both awful but the earfun eq is slightly more customizable than the tribit. I'll touch on the Oluvs changes later on. And finally we get to the only thing that matters. # The Sound # Tribit Stormbox Blast The Tribit is a classic example of a near perfect product only to be squandered by some tragic failure. In it's case, it's the INABILITY TO ACTUALLY BE STEREO. But I'll get to it. The bass matches my preference on not being exaggerated and annoying - it's smooth and decently deep. It might be funnily or depressingly the range that has the most separation on this speaker. Wide reeses and orchestral low end sounds unreal. The rumble from stuff happening in Blade Runner is also pretty immersive. However it is important to note that I did boost the 80hz and cut on the 150hz. I would like more control over this but this is all that is offered in the app's EQ. The high end is crisp, not metallic or shiny, but smooth - also my preferred type of sound. Even when cranking it, they didn't become ear piercing or over the top. The provide more than enough information whilst maintaining excitement. Now for its focal point - the midrange. It is perfect. For this price, on a bluetooth speaker? Absolutely mind boggling. In Arcane's The bridge opening, Powders voice cuts right through the mix; the shots from the soldiers sound heavy and scary; the airship passing over the group feels like it's actually gliding over the air. In Blade Runner the overall sounds of any and everything that happens in the initial confrontation. Man Dave Bautista's voice sounds so rich through this beast. K shooting him and his body hitting the ground. Every single thing has weight, not just from the low end. In music, the vocals just fill the room. They are the center of attention, magnetizing your ears to the melodies being played or sang. It's exciting to hear casiopeas guitar solos; to hear con lentitud poderosa when all the weight of it hits; to hear the power from the guitars on metal and rock tracks; to hear the rich timbres of jazz singers. It is THE selling point of this speaker, if you enjoy natural sounding speakers and pay particular attention to vocal and instrumental performances, this is undoubtedly the right choice. Unfortunately, for all the praise I can give it, deservedly so, my personal preference is not fully satisfied due to one singular issue - the stereo imaging, separation, width, 3d sound - whatever you want to call it - does not exist. Standing in front of the speaker I still could not discern left and right. All of the sounds feel like they are coming straight from the center of the speaker. The frequency separation is great, you can tell all the instruments apart, but the stereo separation is god-awful. There is no feel of immersion on most of the tracks. The audio doesn't surround you. You can always pinpoint it's source straight to the speaker. There are no reflections in the room to give the illusion of width since it literally fires straight forward. If this is the most important aspect for your use cases then it is a deal breaker. It was for me. # Earfun Uboom X And this is where this other speaker comes in. The earfun offers width that would take 2 tribits to emulate. However it is a worse overall speaker in terms of sound quality. You cannot talk about this speaker without talking about the app and Oluvs tunings as they are more than just simple EQs and also one of my biggest gripes with this blasted speaker. So I'll try to break it down in an accessible way - Oluv was a youtuber that reviewed bluetooth speakers thoroughly - some drama happened I don't care about - but he worked on tuning the earfun on more steps in the dsp than just the eq. This essentially just means that It's not just an eq but also other changes in the amplification, stereo imaging, volume control, etc. So in these Oluv's modes you get his personal taste doing the very best possible on the constraints of the quality of the hardware itself. This would be fine for most people since he made a few varied alternatives. For most cases Indoor+ is the best mode, it focuses on the extension of the bass whilst making the rest of the audio as stereo as possible and this is the mode I felt was closer to my taste. However, there is a massive issue in that we are not allowed to change the EQ component of the DSP chain in Oluvs modes. So if I want to make the most out of the width of the speaker I'm stuck with his taste on eq, which again, is probably fine for most people, but I felt that the bass was excessive on the 100-200 range and I wanted to push the mids a bit. But that option simply does not exist, you have to use the normal earfun DSP chain to use your own EQ. Why? Who decided this? This is just plain and simple stupidity and poor design. With all this nonsense on the app as context, I'll try to do my best to balance the 3 settings that I used, the Indoor+, Outdoor and my own eq through the original DSP. My eq focused on reducing the excessive top end of the bass and elevating the mids as much as possible, so keep that in mind. The bass is deep - that much is undeniable. It's not smooth like the tribit, but it is cleaner. You can discern the notes from the sub bass tones from the kick of the drums. If you prefer, you can make it even punchier with the Indoor+, where the low end becomes the focus. The high end is the opposite of the tribit, it's metallic and artificial sounding. It is far more exciting and energetic if that is your cup of tea, and the width is most noticible here. Bits and pieces of sound design on Arcane appear all over the speaker, a true stereo image being presented. The provide enough detail but they might not be to everyone's taste, and it only gets more metallic-y with the Outdoor and Outdoor+ modes. The midrange is it's weak point, again, opposite to the tribit. It lacks weight. Even when trying to elevate it with the eq it fails to form a shape. It's there, it's more than immersive, but it lacks the attention grabbing sound. Unfortunately none of the Oluv's settings focus on the midrange, and with that, there is not much else to say. It does the job but without much distinction. # Closing Thoughts They are both outstanding speakers, the fact that these cost about the same as my old charge 3 when I first bought it should tell you everything about the market we currently have. It is the best time to purchase speakers and JBL, BOSE, SONY, HARMON KARDON, have to respond. They are not worth 4 times the price. I ended up choosing the earfun even though it didn't match my preferences since immersion was the most important aspect for my current needs. It feels like a compromise since I was cursed with buying the tribit first and experiencing what could have been. Comparison is the thief of joy.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Tribit Stormbox Blast vs. Earfun Uboom X - In depth review ->Hahah, I review things fairly since the money comes out of my own pocket and it feels wasteful to not be thorough in researching and analysing things like these. But yeah as I said I prefer the signature of the Tribit, and I just wonder how much difference angling the tweeters a bit and adding a diffuser to spread out the sound more. What it would be like with some more stereo effecrs processing. It just feels like a bit of unfulfilled potential. And yeah it's a curious beast the earfun, I'm still not sold on the brand but it's definitely a good speaker. Give it a go and you can also return it, although I suspect you might keep it too heheh. The low end is indeed better I think the hitting like a truck given the relatively small 4 inch drivers might also be in part to passive radiators building some more low end resonance. But even with 5 inch monitors like the adam t5 and krk rokkit 5 you get such a massive sound. I truly think most Bluetooth speaker manufacturers are complacent and they don't push the envelope as much as they should. I mean why would they, have you seen some of the posts in this subreddit? They don't need to make things better since people keep buying objectively bad products
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Tribit Stormbox Blast vs. Earfun Uboom X - In depth review ->Take a look at the [pinned post in this sub](https://www.reddit.com/r/WirelessSpeakers/comments/16zs2ol/ranking_all_battery_powered_wireless_speakers/) If you can handle a Boombox size speaker, the $111 after coupon [Earfun Uboom X](https://www.speakerranking.com/top-recommended/) is pretty much unbeatable and has an aux input. If you need something smaller generally the $90 Soundcore Boom 2 is your best bet. You'll find the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus [ranked a lot lower at #19 out of 63 Boombox size speakers](https://www.speakerranking.com/boombox-size/) due to: "Warm tuning meaning a rolled off treble and some upper bass boost. Reasonably deep bass, but not as good as the top ranked."
r/WirelessSpeakers • Looking for the best speaker at the 100-150$ price range ->Generally all of the neutral speakers are well known and documented in the [over 1000 upvotes pinned post at the top of this sub](https://www.reddit.com/r/WirelessSpeakers/comments/16zs2ol/ranking_all_battery_powered_wireless_speakers/) which includes descriptions and sound samples of all of the speakers you mentioned. You'd generally be best off with an Earfun Uboom X, or if contemporary looks matter a lot to you and you're willing to give up waterproofing and battery life then the Harmon Kardon Go+ Play 3. If those are too big, the Soundcore Boom 2 with Oluv's EQ will be the most neutral in the size below. The Diamondboxx and Devialet speakers generally aren't worth your time and are far from neutral. The Move 2 is reasonable but warm tuned, but overly expensive for what it does
r/WirelessSpeakers • Best portable speaker (best sound) ->The guy who did the DSP tuning (easily 80% of the speaker's performance) for the Uboom X did a pretty big write up lately that's a good read https://www.reddit.com/r/Bluetooth_Speakers/s/BEArycBBVG He's pretty well known around for having an amazing ability to tune these things and I own a few speakers and headphones that he's done and I'm extremely happy with all of them. Edit: oops updated link
r/WirelessSpeakers • Best portable speaker (best sound) ->Yea give one a try, just make sure you install the Earfun app to update the firmware and select an Oluv EQ like Indoors. Out of the box it sounds like complete garbage (which especially shows how much the DSP tuning matters) Bose are really warm tuned with boosted upper bass which drowns out mids details generally. Teufel has a few good speakers like the Rockster XS and Rockster Cross (both ranked around #20 in the rankings) but sometimes can be hard to find in the US. Yea, both are generally twice as expensive as better sounding speakers. It's all markup, the internal components aren't any more expensive
r/WirelessSpeakers • Best portable speaker (best sound) ->Sadly if you use it out of the box it sounds like unlistenable garbage with the defaults, it needs the app installed, firmware updated and an Oluv EQ selected and then it's one of the best around. Most people probably don't even know it has an app
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->Were you using an Oluv EQ like Indoor from the Earfun app on the Uboom X? It sounds like total garbage out of the box.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Absolute best speaker under $400? ->The current Uboom X firmware is 0.41 and fixes issues with some of the Oluv EQs. I reported those issues to Earfun too.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for advise on which speaker to buy ->Small speakers like the Motion+ and Uboom L cannot physically reproduce sub bass due to their small size. You'll need to go bigger. If you want the Uboom L in a deeper bass package, the best you'll find is the Uboom X running Oluv's EQ in the app.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Is Motion+ my best option for clarity after failed experience with Uboom L and Soundcore Boom 2 ->Earfun UboomX, if 4kg is portable for you.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which is the best portable speaker on sale currently? (Budget ~120$) ->Flex 2 vs uboomx is a nobrainer, if size does not matter. Flex cant keep up with that bass or the any part of the soundset.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which is the best portable speaker on sale currently? (Budget ~120$) ->Okay. The build quality is the weakest point of the X, but the flex2 is not that much better. I have not bought it because for the price the built quality should be better. The UBOOMX on the other hand is capable more than a jbl Xtreme 3-4 but less than half the price.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which is the best portable speaker on sale currently? (Budget ~120$) ->It easily fits even into small backpacks
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which is the best portable speaker on sale currently? (Budget ~120$) ->First of all the negativity and ignorance here on Reddit is simply shocking. Especially in this Bluetooth speaker sub it would seem as if some bored kiddies were trying to spend their spare time here instead of going out playing football, pretending being smartasses having the need of spreading their vomit around... It is sad to see what happens here in regard to brand fanboyism and nitwit-ism with no background knowledge at all. I couldn't care less about all this as I don't give a shit about it, but as Reddit has a huge reach it can lead to some huge misinformation or let's call it "fake news" due to these ignorant hobbists who simply have nothing better to do than trolling around apparently. Please let me explain how the Uboom X developed and what my part was, to clear up all the confusion and misinformation. About a year ago I was approached by Earfun asking if I would like to create some tuning for this upcoming speaker. After the experience I did with the Uboom L some years ago and everyone attacking me calling me to be fake and some shill I was really hesitant to do anything like this again. In reality meanwhile the Uboom L became a kind of classic among music enthusiasts, but I was dragged through the mud back than. Let me say that my youtube channel was built up on sound samples which took me years to optimise in order to reach the most realistic and unbiased sound quality. From my sound demos it was immediately hearable which speaker performed better or worse, even when listening through some crappy headphones, the differences were always perceptible well, if listened over a referened headphone you were basically listening to the real thing, or let's say 95% of what it sounds in real life. I could have missed out my comments and verdicts from all my videos as people should have heard on their own, but these trolls were still pretending the obviously distorting, boomy, muddy speaker was better... So I tried teaching them how sound should sound like, as obviously they didn't know. Many of my viewers were thankful for that, they contacted me and are still contacting me how much I changed their view on bullshit marketing, overpriced audio junk etc etc. Back to the UBoom X: I thought it could be an interesting experience to tune a larger speaker out of my personal interest in this topic and I was not sure what the outcome could be as it would have been the first and maybe last kind of product like that I had the chance to work on. Prior to Earfun only Tribit ever approached me to help them with their products (this was when Earfun engineers were still part of Tribit), So aside of the UBoom L before I also did the tuning for the 360° UBoom as well as the first Tribit Stormbox, or Tribit Xsound Go, I also tuned the Earfun Wave headphone and the old Tribit Xfree Tune and some inears... But tuning a "boombox" with all the competition on the market could be challenging and although the contract between me and Earfun really sucked, offering me just some one-time tuning fee and some commission only when purchased over my own links, I neverthless decided to take this challange which turned out to become quite an odyseey for several months with the most negativity I could even think off. I quickly noticed that the hardware was quite capable, the 80W of rated power just didn't mean anything, and I simply tried to push the speaker to the limits with my settings. I really wanted to offer something unique and outstanding, something people always seeking for good sound quality would appreciate, how wrong was I... Initially I planned to include 3 different settings: indoor, outdoor and "insane". Unlike mentioned everywhere these "EQs" are complete DSP programs, consisting of several sections no only EQ, but the entire compressor/limiter, dynamic EQ, psychoacoustic effects for stereo enhancing and bass, volume curve etc etc. Each of my settings has different 3-band compressor settings, with different crossover frequencies, different volume curves EQ etc. And it took endless listening sessions outdoor at maximum volume to squeeze out the maximum out of this speaker. The outdoor modes have a completely different approach to compression than the indoor modes, which are rather conservative and should retain most bass up to maximum with overall volume not being pushed that much. I also tried to get the most kick out of the outdoor modes up to maximum volume and you should notice that the UBoom X has more attack with more basskick than most other similar speakers, neither does it become as harsh at high levels like others (e.g. Stormbox Blast, which becomes just treble at maximum). This took lots of effort to optimise and the current outdoor mode has treble pushed more than the other modes at high volumes to simply allow for even higher output and loudness to be heard from farther away or higher listening angles. My first indoor was similar to the current indoor+, outdoor was something between the current outdoor and outdoor+ and insane was similar to the current outdoor+ but with bass pushed even more which made it more comparable to some way larger JBL Boomboxes. It looked quite funny seeing this rather compact speaker competing with much larger heavier speakers during my tests. Unfortunately the DSP was quite limiting and while I could optimise every single volume step for the UBoom L with different compression values, there was no way to achieve the same for the UBoom X. I would usually dynamically adjust either the highpass for high levels to avoid too much distortion, or optimise the compressor for higher levels compared to low levels. All this was not possible here and I always came into distortion with too high bass levels and volumes. I also noticed that just 3 modes were not enough to cover most use cases, as the speaker was still pretty bassy with "indoor" and "insane" became too uncontrolled at higher levels due to the limitations mentioned above. So instead of trying to do another "boombox" I thought it could be nice to have a speaker for serious listening which could do both, be some kind of portable studio monitor and some boombox for outdoors if needed. In the end I created several different tunings like that: \- indoor should offer a pretty neutral response similar to studio monitors with some psychoacoustic stereo enhancing and dynamic bass and treble adjustments for lower levels (I kept this rather subtle not to make the speaker appear boomy by no means, I would have liked to boost treble even more for the lowest levels, but the DSP didn't allow it. I would have needed to tune the speaker brighter to begin with and then tone down treble with the compressor at high levels which doesn't work as precisely. \- indoor+ adds even more stereo width and has some slight boost at the lowest and highest frequencies. I tried to achieve something that JBL or Harman is usually doing, boosting bass before rolling off, at the same time I wanted to avoid that one-note kind of bass from JBL, and the boominess of the go+play. This mode should sound quite similar to a go+play but with a more even frequency response and a higher volume with less bass reduction at the same time (not even talking about the much better battery life) \- outdoor has upper bass slightly reduced to avoid the speaker to appear too boomy when placed at the ground while midbass around 60hz boosted more, at the same time lowest bass is cut quite a bit more as usually outdoors these frequencies are not heard that well anyhow, this together with the less aggressive compressor for treble allowed for the highest SPL levels with less distortion than outdoor+, Boom xXX etc. Stereo enhancing is disabled for the outdoor mode, as this created some weird effects in the response when listened off axis, so outdoor should sound better from high angles than the other modes. \- outdoor+ is similar to indoor+ just with the most stereo enhancing the most bass boost in the lowest region and some stronger overall treble boost compared to indoor+ Unfortunately outdoor+ can still become a bit uncontrolled with bassheavy recordings if pushed to the max. You can always try to reduce volume 1-2 steps and it should be still loud enough (much louder than the Stormbox Blast) while becoming cleaner and bassier at the same time. \- Boom xXX was meant as rather fun for those who simply love that boominess. It is still listenable unlike some Sony speakers that are just knocking and humming with mudiness and IMO Boom xXX works best for maximum volume with the most overall bass and slightly less distortion than outdoor+ while being louder at the same time. \- Ground O which stands for ground omnidirectional should offer you the most bass possible when placed at the ground due to the boundary effect without the boominess you would get with Boom xXX, at the same time treble is boosted a lot to allow for omnidirectional listening when the speaker is aimed upwards. This works fairly well and due to the reduced upper bass it gives a more controlled result than Boom xXX with a cleaner, deeper bass due to the ground reflections. \- studio was included due to my Patrons asking for a completely neutral mode with no stereo enhancing, no dynamic EQ etc. This came quite late, and as all my other settings were based on some stereo enhancing which also had a strong impact on the overall frequency response, I had a hard time to tweak this mode to really offer the results I was longing for. I personally prefer indoor for a more neutral reproduction as this opens up the sound stage and gives you more satisfying results for low levels. I also had ideas for other settings although seeing now people complaining already now about too many EQs. I wouldn't care less for the included EQs from Earfun which are really plenty, but Earfun didn't want to give me further slots for additional modes, one of them being "desktop". The problem with portable speakers is that they will change the sound a lot depending on where they are placed and most people do not care how or where to place them. Usually you should place a speaker at the edge of some boundary to avoid any effects with the surface underneath. So a speaker which sounds correct standing free will color the sound a lot when placed in the center of some table, ground etc. To overcome this I still created an own desktop mode which should give more satisfying results with the speaker placed on some larger table or even at the ground. It should still offer a rather neutral uncolored result compensating for the reflections of this surface. Earfun created an own custom firmware for me including this setting replacing studio, which I personally hardly used at all. Those interested can always grab that on my Patreon: [https://www.patreon.com/oluvsone/shop/earfun-uboom-x-custom-firmware-with-mode-560004?utm\_medium=clipboard\_copy&utm\_source=copyLink&utm\_campaign=productshare\_fan&utm\_content=join\_link](https://www.patreon.com/oluvsone/shop/earfun-uboom-x-custom-firmware-with-mode-560004?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=productshare_fan&utm_content=join_link) I have put the Uboom X against much more sophisticated, more expensive speakers and it was on par or outperforming those easily, then reading comments from some deaf idiots claiming it to sound worse, having less detail than their Motion+ or worse bass than their Motion Boom is just completely crazy. People are attacking me repeatedly being a shill for Earfun. Honestly I get a shit from them. From November until now I "earned" 300$ of commission... Others like Flossy who contributed nothing to this probably earned 100 times as much in the same time with his own affilate links and nobody has a problem with this. With all the work I put into this, hoping to satisfy also more demanding listeners, offering something no other company even thought about in a speaker that costs a fraction of the competition and then getting all the shitstorm by some weirdos here, just made me lose all motivation to contribute anything anymore. If you want to support me in some way, you can always use my discount code UBOOMXXX which works on the Earfun site directly . Only then I get some percentage of the sales. So seeing all this negativity, all these claims about Earfun bots flooding Reddit, me being some shill for Earfun is just nonsense bullshit. Earfun doesn't even want to pay me for my work, let alone some others. And yes, I am to some degree satisfied with the result I achieved, so why shouldn't I promote it in some way to those who are new to this topic, unlike others who promote speakers that someone serious about music wouldn't even consider when being deaf!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->Micro 2, boom 2, uboom x, tribit stormbox blast, xiaomi sound outdoor, motion 300 are the best up to 150$. But the xiaomi is the smallest and the size might be a factor here, then 2x xiaomi sound outdoor in stereo mode, those things are very nicely build and also have a nice sound curve, similar to flip 6 but without this harshness and with deeper bass. And the xiaomi is like 50$ which is insane
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best BT Speaker Under $150 or Less? ->UBOOM X has full time discount and with code UBOOMXXX you can get it for 104$. So quite a bit cheaper than the blast 1, even tho I got it quite cheap too for around 170$. I don't know how high you cranked both up, but blast 1 becomes extremely sharp at 100%, if you get like 2 steps before 100% you get none of that
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Tribit Stormbox Blast vs. Earfun Uboom X - In depth review ->The answer at the moment is always Earfun Uboom X. For $200 you can almost get two.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • looking for a recommendation on a medium size bluetooth speaker for around 200? ->Make sure you check if the size works for you. Personally the UBoom X was too big for me to carry around outside. That's why I like the Soundcore Boom 2. It's lightweight but still can produce a good outdoor sound. If you want something heavy and massive, the UBoom X is a good option.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best budget portable speaker with great sound quality?(Under $150) ->The Earfun UBoom X has been the answer for a while. It used to be the Tribit Stormbox Blast a couple years ago. In another 6-12 months, something will supercede the X but for now it's your best choice.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best large Bluetooth speaker for a car ->Size matters. I have a variety of Bluetooth speakers and home audio equipment. I loved the sound of that EarFun UBoom X but it was too large for my purposes. That may not apply to you. I kept the Boom 2 because of the size and weight. Normally I'd want something heftier but was quite surprised of the profile considering how little it weighed. I kept the Harman Kardon Go+Play 3 because I'm not planning on moving it around a lot. Yes, it's similar in size to the UBoom X but it serves a different purpose. I also have a Soundcore x600. I like it for near field listening. Good luck and report back what worked for you.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for advise on which speaker to buy ->Totally agree, I prefer the soundcore boom 2 over any speakers that i've Tried and had: Tribit lava (distorsion sometimes), U Boom x (distorsion sometimes and a bit priced too), tronsmart bang (distorsion), zealot (same thing), bose (overpriced), Sony ult (was ok nothing more and priced),, Ue boom 3 (not m'y cup of tea), JBL Xtrem 1 and 4 (I sold the Xtrem 4 and still have the 1 which IS my favorite from JBL loud but still muffled, a bit heavy, and distorsion sometimes), JBL boom box 3 (distorsion sometimes, loud sounding, heavy, and not m'y thing). Soundcore boom 2 cook them all. For $130 on usa amazon and 99€ on France amazon haha. I got it for 60€ with a Friend. Pretty sure he regret it now.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->I think he don't have the soundcore boom 2 but the soundcore boom se. Which IS why It sucks. Haha
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->There IS a New Soundcore: boom 2 pro. For me similar to the soundcore boom 2 plus. But with better option. But a bit priced. Still more interesting than most JBL, bose for that price. But I'm happy with m'y little soundcore boom 2.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->Hi, the Uboom x IS great but distortion sometimes and I still prefer my soundcore boom 2. That beast sounds great. 360° sounding speaker, easy to carry, light weight, solid 70 watts speaker as the soundcore boom 2 IS not compatible with thé app anymore. But not a problem for me. As the bass UP button IS awesome. I've tried the soundcore boom 2 in front of tribit lava (distortion sometimes), U boom x (distortion sometimes), JBL Big boom box 3 (distortion And muffled sometimes), JBL Xtrem from 1 to 4 ( I had the 4 and sold it, I still have the Xtrem 1), tronsmart bang, zealot, bose, Sony speakers and still prefer the soundcore boom 2. And now there IS the New Soundcore boom 2 pro. Wow.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->Hi dear person, I understand you, but that's absolutely not the case for me. Why i don't know ;) The app is not even useful with this beautiful beast. Because everything is perfectly balanced, and if you activate the bass up button on (you get even more wonderful sound). Sounds better, deeper, louder than most speakers I've had and tried (jbl xtrem 1 and 4, i sold the xtrem 4, bose, sony, etc.). I compared it with my friend's speakers (u boom x, Harman speakers, Eu Boom 3-4-5, Tribit lava, zealot 120 watts speaker, jbl boom 3 party speaker, bose, soundlink, beat, tronsmart bang, mini, etc.) The soundcore boom 2 cooks them all. For $90-120 on amazon. I got it for 60€ with my friend. And he regretted it deeply. He told me. In conclusion, I repeat: 70 truly watts speaker, 360° sound, Easy to carry, light weight, perfectly balanced sound midrange bass trebless high, no distortion even at full volume (be careful with your neighbors). That thing sounds like heaven!!! An engineer friend, that told me, that he has never listened to such 'medium' sized speaker that sounded that good .
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->I understand your perception and your thoughts. It was a time when there were not even apps for speakers. In the case of the soundcore boom 2. I understand the frustration of ingenious perfectionists not being able to manage EQ. I could not say why soundcore did that. I am not the author, nor an affiliate. In any case, I can tell you one thing with certainty: The sound does not even need adjustment, no need for adjustment. It sounds 2 times better than an xtrem 4 and a jbl boom 3 party jbl, as good as a bose model, better than harman speakers, x times better than the x king/tronsmart/zealot/tribit speakers. Which have a lot of distortion at high volume (even if the music is not made to be listened to at full volume.) In any case, I got it for 60€ and I am more than satisfied. In my garden or park evenings, my friends only say "woww". And I can understand, because this beast is brilliantly adjusted in terms of sound. Many have said they prefer the Soundcore Boom 2 to the U Boom x and others prefer the U Boom x. However, this one has a lot of distortion sometimes. Others have said, the Soundcore Boom 2 is superb for techno music but rubbish for the rest. Absolutely false!!! It is incredible for live performances, albums, jazz/rock/African music/Cuban/Celtic/metal/pop/country/acoustic instrumental/trap rnb etc etc etc. And even superb for watching a movie (I tried). I listen to dir en grey metal group on it sometimes, jazz, Christian music, rock, folk, rnb, techno, old music, classical music sometimes, Cuban, Brazilian (rosa passos guitarists and singer), and all types of unimaginable music. I'm a multi-instrumentalist musician. I like everything in music except vulgarity and propaganda. And I can say once again, that the Soundcore Boom 2 cooks all the speaker models I've heard (even those with modified EQ etc.). And that for $90-130 on Amazon. It's worse than a good deal, it's a robbery. This speaker doesn't need any EQ adjustment. It's great like that. Of course, we all have different tastes and preferences. It's normal ;) Ps: the ones that dislike the soundcore boom 2 are mostly people that are fan boy, trolls, and some honest people that had minor problems such shipping, that fell into a poor series of soundcore boom. Which is rare. Maybe the SE old version. The author of this, says he had buzz sounds... Definetely not a soundcore boom 2, probably a soundcore boom SE. The old one. Soundcore resolved the problem. And it is not buzzing. We are far from it. Or maybe he have a false one... Rare too.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->Interesting ;) The app was available when the soundcore boom 2 came out. Apparentely, these days it is not compatible. I need to check again, if they did fix that. I may be wrong too regarding the app. Will let you know after doing some research, i need also to send an email to soundcore. Cause i've never used the app on it. I will let you know if they did fix that.

r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->Hi, What ... No middle ? I respect your perception, but middle IS fantastic. It IS a great speaker, better than most that i've Tried and i've Tried a lot : the Uboom x IS great but distortion sometimes and I still prefer my soundcore boom 2. Great speaker, great midrange trebble bass ect, 360° sound, easy to carry, light weight, 70 watts speaker. And now there IS the New Soundcore boom 2 pro. Wow.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->Soundcore boom 2: - $90-130 on amazon. - 360° sounding speaker - Easy to carry light weight - 80 watts speaker (well 70 watts cause the app IS not compatible anymore, not a prob for me it IS a solid 70 watts speaker with the bass UP button pressed on.) - No distortion even at full volume Awesome trebles bass medium high, perfectly balanced. And i seriously mean it is perfectly balanced. It is a beast. If you want to push the volume up, all the neighbor will hear that beast. And if you want to keep the volume low it sounds magnificent like heaven. Great for everytypes of music even the live concert sounds great whatever African music, rnd, trap, cuban, classical, metal, rock, pop, country folk, fusion, jazz ect. I've tried a comparaison in front of lot and lot of speakers : Sony speakers, Bose speaker, w king, JBL x trem 1 and 4 which i had (still have the 1 and sold the 4), tribit lava, zealot, U boom x, tronsmart bang, JBL boom box 3 ect. They aren't bad but lot of distortion and muffled sometimes for some and overpriced. The JBL Xtrem 1 and 4 sounds poor next to it. The soundcore boom 2 cook them all. For $90-130 on amazon. And in France 89€ actually. A great great deal and seriously that speaker is phenomenal. Sounds better than most 95% of overpriced Big speakers Lot of my friends says : 'Woww' when i play the soundcore boom 2 on. It is a versatile beast. An engineer that praise it as well and that says he never listened to such little speaker that sounds that good and that loud before.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->Soundcore boom 2 all day! Middle IS great. I prefer the soundcore boom 2 over any tribit lava, zealot, tronsmart, bose, Sony, earfun U boom x, Ue boom 3 and JBL and even an old good philipps speaker. Soundcore boom 2 in my opinion cook them all.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->I prefer the soundcore boom 2 over any speakers that i've Tried and had: Tribit lava (distorsion sometimes), U Boom x (distorsion sometimes and a bit priced too), tronsmart bang (distorsion), zealot (same thing), bose (overpriced), Sony ult (was ok nothing more and priced),, Ue boom 3 (not m'y cup of tea), JBL Xtrem 1 and 4 (I sold the Xtrem 4 and still have the 1 which IS my favorite from JBL loud but still muffled, a bit heavy, and distorsion sometimes), JBL boom box 3 (distorsion sometimes, loud sounding, heavy, and not m'y thing). r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->Are you sure, you have the soundcore boom 2 ? Or do you have the soundcore boom SE ? I think you have the SE.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->I play the soundcore boom 2 to whatever music and places from the house to the garage, Park, and it doesn't vibrates when turned UP. Absolutely the contrary for me. That beast sounds great. You must have the soundcore boom SE... Not the boom 2. Or maybe a false One... Contrefaçon...
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->UE boom 3... Sorry man but the soundcore boom 2 sounds way way better. UE boom 3 IS muffled. Soundcore boom 2 IS a beast.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->Read through the whole thing and immediately was thinking, "is this really the same speaker I have?". From your description of the blast I'd assume that it's a multi-thousand dollar speaker setup lol. Although I say that, I still agree that it's crazy what you get for the price, as it rivals even my studio monitors while practically having a subwoofer stuck to it, all while being portable and durable. I appreciate the fact that even though the uboom x was the choice in the end, you still mentioned all of the downfalls of it. Personally I might pick one up purely from the consistent reviews of it having a better low-end than the blast. All this reviewing makes me wonder, if you were to forego the "portable Bluetooth speaker" form factor, how good could you get? I hope some company in the future tries this, as these speakers are barely bigger than a center channel but hit like a truck even when compared to larger speakers of the same price. Your review is much appreciated and I believe it will be very helpful to future buyers comparing these two speakers and filtering through the biased reviews!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Tribit Stormbox Blast vs. Earfun Uboom X - In depth review ->The reviewer isn't wrong. You can get 2 sub-$100 bluetooth speakers in stereo pair and they will sound 10x better than a single Move 2. Only reason I'd buy the Move 2 is so for whole home audio if you already have multiple Sonos products.
r/sonos • Why the SoundGuys complaints/review of the Move 2 is laughable (and questionably dishonest) ->Lol. 2 Earfun Uboom X in stereo pair sound 10x better than 1 Move 2. Hell, even my 2 sound core motion 300s in stereo pair sound comparable. Stop being a Sonos fanboy. I got the Move 2 because I already 3 sonos sound bars, 2 subs, a pair of 300s, and a pair of 100s. And it is simple and easy to control for house guests through my tablet on my fridge that I already used for home assistant. I would not recommend the Move 2 unless you are already in the Sonos ecosystem
r/sonos • Why the SoundGuys complaints/review of the Move 2 is laughable (and questionably dishonest) ->With the UBOOM X, EarFun offers an excellent-sounding speaker at a very competitive price. It can even hold its own against significantly more expensive brand-name speakers. Of course, this doesn't win the manufacturer any friends, which is why it is often attacked in this subreddit for no logical reason.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • My picks for some of the best Bluetooth speakers you can buy right now ->The UBOOM X is not only a great budget option, but also offers by far the best sound and overall performance of all the speakers mentioned in the previous comment.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • iPhone users: what Bluetooth speakers with AAC support do you recommend? ->Yeah i think 2 tribit stormbox blast or 2 earfun uboom x would be pretty dang good
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Portable Speakers for small party ->JBL Partybox club 120 is a monster in terms of bass, but if you need more portability, uboomX has a powerful and deep bass for its size.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Punchiest bass on home/portable speaker? 2025 ->I got one using the discount code when it first came out and was blown away. It’s the best sounding portable speaker I’ve owned.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->100% I’ve owned a ton of speakers and was very loyal to JBL I honestly only bought tje Uboom X because of the price with discount and didn’t know what to expect, but i now use it at my work place and have converted several coworkers who had to get their own after hearing it at work. It really does have an immediately surprising powerful sound quality. And the EQ and tuning stuff is a great aspect. Well done!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->I like the earfun uboomX or the party box encore.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which JBL Speaker is the best? ->EarFun UBOOMX has a ton of preset options as well as customizable equalizer (ten band IIRC) I believe the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus has a parametric equalizer. Don’t recall how many bands it has Between these two I personally would recommend the UBOOMX
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Seeking a Bluetooth speaker with advanced EQ options and longest available battery life ->I know how you feel. The more I compare the Go+Play 3 against the UBOOM X (which sounds good) the more I appreciate just how good the HK truly is. Glad you’re enjoying it 👍
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • This thing is absolutely incredible in every way… best speaker I’ve EVER had ->As much as I love the Go+Play 3 it’s not a great choice for outdoor use UBOOM X works well for outdoors and indoors Soundcore Motion Boom Plus doesn’t sound as good as the UBOOM X but it’s emphasis on mid and upper bass and forward mids makes it a solid choice for outdoors IMO
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for an outdoor speaker for my backyard. ->I went by his own list, and the flex gen 2 has both sound quality and portability. The uboom x is a cheaply made speaker. It's way larger which means significantly less portability and the sound quality is not that good.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which is the best portable speaker on sale currently? (Budget ~120$) ->At this point just let him decide if size matters to him. But in general, the bose flex 2 sounds better than the uboom x. The x has more bass and loudness, if it didn't i'd be laughing, but build quality, codec, performance to body ratio, is levels above. You can disagree, i really don't mind. I have both of those speakers.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which is the best portable speaker on sale currently? (Budget ~120$) ->I pay a lot of attention to details. The flex gen 2 for what it is, is one of my favorite speakers currently, and it can fit into a pocket. That's a great achievement for bose. And i have lot's of brands of speakers. Uboom x is for different purposes, it's clearly a budget option and it looks and sounds like it. As a package i prefer the bose.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which is the best portable speaker on sale currently? (Budget ~120$) ->I think the 'scandal' is that almost any time asks what speaker should I get a couple specific users pop in to recommend Uboom in a way so consistently that it seems like they're incentivized to do so. Many of us are skeptical this little known Chinese company really makes products that are 1/4th the cost of the mainstream competitors and 'blow them out of the water'.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->I think both things can be true: these guys can be shills AND it can be a good product. People are buying them on Amazon where they're easy to get, cheap, and easy to return so the risk seems low.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->I want to believe you just the way they get recommended seems so sketch. The couple of earfun 'promoters' are quite effective and I could easily imagine that for a low price you could get some people to recommend them on Reddit regularly. Apologies if things are exactly as you say just commenting honestly on my observations in this sub.

r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->if you want to spread music over a large area, especially at low volumes, you need to get 2 speakers for stereo or party mode. if you only have one music source, you need to crank it up louder, which will be too loud in front of it, while at the same time too silent if you are far away from the source. earfun uboom x is perfect for low volume listening, cause it boosts bass and highs at low volume. at night i use it between 20-35% volume and it is just delightful. 2 uboom x are 240$ with discount code.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which portable bluetooth speaker for background music, 40-person dinner party? ->earfun uboom x if 4kg of weight isn't a problem for you. otherwise i would choose the soundcore boom 2.

r/Bluetooth_Speakers • I’ve been wondering, what is the best Bluetooth speaker (portable) under £200? I’m an audiophile.. ->have you people who accuse everybody who recommends the uboom x of shilling ever thought about that people recommend it, because they like it? oluv doesn't even get commission if people buy the speaker without his discount code and you assume earfun pays a bunch of full time advertisers on social media? you guys are paranoid as fuck. also there are a ton of people who praise Bose and JBL everywhere and for some reason this is completely fine. what a joke. for 120€/$ i am sure there is no better deal on market. do you know any speaker for 120€ which is better than the UBOOM X? do you know a speaker for 120€ which plays really deep, clean bass and is pretty loud at the same time? if you own 2 by yourself you certainly know about it's audio qualities or you might be deaf. i own 2 by myself but i haven't tested stereo so far. but according to other users it should be fine. which EQs have you tested for the stereo setup? did you test both speaker with the same EQ? what about the language thing? in most european countries it is normal to learn one or two foreign language in school. i assume you are from america, your education system is even worse than the german education system. :D by the way, if you have stalked my profile properly you would have noticed that i typically recommend 5+ different brands, depending on size and usecase.

r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for Bluetooth speaker: Portable, loud and durable ->earfun uboom x is the best budget option, very portable compared to the boombox and the sony. the performance is not that far away from the boombox. if you want more, you need to get the partybox 120. it has a new handle to carry it around ;-) be careful, haters may join this conversation :-)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Need loud portable Bluetooth speaker with great bass ->i tried party and tws mode for the first time last week and had stuttering problems as well :( that is such a pity... only oluv eq that had no stuttering was the "studio" mode. still sounds great, but it is just sad you can't use the powerful equalizers. do you have any advice to get rid of stuttering?

r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best BT Speaker Under $150 or Less? ->earfun uboom x is the speaker to get in 2025. it easily outperforms most speakers out there.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which Bluetooth speaker should I buy in 2025? ->congratulations, you have a really nice car! back in the day, around 15 years ago, i used my JVC RV-NB10B (which i still own, but haven't used for years) on the back seat of a suzuki jimny (which had a horrible sound system). i put the seatbelts around to keep it in place and it worked great. i had an 12v adapter for the automobile auxiliary power outlet, so after i started the motor i turned it on and listened to my cds. those speakers where called GHETTOblasters :D today, they are called boomblasters and most of them are much smaller. if i wanted to recreate it today i would put my Earfun UBOOM X on the backseat, maybe even 2, why not? should work really fine if you use the shoulder strap to attach it to the headrest of the backseat. does your car have seatbelts/headrests? i think you need something to attach it to, so it will stay in place and not fly around. UBOOM X is plenty loud and has plenty bass. use this code on the official earfun website to get it around 120: UBOOMXXX
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Solution for classic car audio? ->Earfun u boom x is the best for 120€
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What’s the loudest speaker, with the best sound, that I can easily take on an airplane? Under $300 please. ->Bird's post about the Uboom X and Soundcore Boom 2 are spot on, and for the money are a damned good deal. I had the Uboom X for a minute and ultimately returned it because it was too big, too "boombox-looking," and wasn't WiFi/AirPlay 2. But with Oluv's tuning, it was a bargain if you need a wall of detailed sound that goes LOUD. I have a pair of Sonos Move 2s (and more) hooked up to my AppleTV ecosystem, along with a number of other WiFi speakers. The Move 2s on their own are terrific, and paired, they are dynamite. If you want to go that route, you can't go wrong. I love the portability of my Move 2s, and you can't beat their sound signature (warm, not clinical). The EQ is only "okay" in the Sonos app, but...at least there is an EQ. I listened to the Devialet, and it was very good...but not as good as the Brane X, which costs much less. The Brane X is next on my list of purchases.
r/WirelessSpeakers • Best portable speaker (best sound) ->Oluv, it’s always good to hear from you! Your Gadgets reviews years ago led me down the path of “tuning” and out-of-the-box recommendations and a better understanding of how to best optimize a BT speaker. I’ve owned a ton of speakers you recommended in the past (Loved my Vifas, Dalis, B&O, etc) and kept many of them. The Uboom X was on a huge sale when I bought it…knowing that OOB it was garbage. Used your tuning recommendation and it was a changed (for the better) speaker. But, it just didn’t fit my use case, so I sent it back. Most of my speakers are AirPlay/Wifi, and include Apple HomePods, Sonos speakers, Bose, and B&W Formation Wedges. But your input was typically a major consideration for my BT speaker purchases. With regards this subs’ persistent “shilling” accusations, we’ve seen plenty of that…which creates skepticism in our community. And most of those involved the Uboom X and Uboom L. All that being said…I know most of us here who are “serious” about sound will appreciate your post, and continue to support your endeavors. The audio recordings you did (and video editing) DO take a lot of time and knowledge, and found your input truly helpful. Keep up the good work, and feel free to continue sharing your thoughts here! Thanks!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->For $100, it may come down to size for you. You can get a pair of Tribit Stormbox Micro 2s for $100 (I have a pair), and they sound significantly larger and better than their size suggests. Or you could go big (as in HUGE) with a UBoom X. Many here think it's the best peaker on the planet for 100. Alternatively, you could get a Bose SoundLink Flex 2 for around $100 and enjoy the superb, warm Bose signature sound (I also have a pair of those). That being said, $300 will also put you in the league for many other options, both large and small.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best bang for your buck portable Bluetooth speaker? [$300 max but I’d rather go cheaper] ->I can give enthusiastic thumbs ups for the Harmon Kardon Go + Play 3, B&O A1 (Gen. 2), and 1the UBoom X (as a pair) for being the low-budget high-quality-sound boombox style. I’ll say this, though, if I could only have one BT or AirPlay 2 (WiFi) speaker, I’d choose the HK GP3 over every other portable speaker I have…including my Brane X, which is insanely great. The GP3’s sound stage is wider, and more detailed in the mid-bass. The Brane X’s bass overall is deeper, though. I even love what others derisively call “hand purse” style on the HK. I think it looks super-classy. [A smorgasbord of speakers…partial group in my “office:”](https://imgur.com/a/qDnoTlE)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What's the Best Bluetooth Speaker to Buy in 2025? (Price, Sound, Battery) ->😂 I guess my idea of a backpack might be different? 80 Liters is my go-to. How loud do you need? My Stormbox Lava goes pretty loud, and is definitely “portable.” So is a UBoom X.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Loudest Portable Bluetooth Speaker ->UBoom X floats, sounds great with tuning, and floats! This is your answer, I think.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth Speaker: Patio/Pool Usage ->I can personally recommend the Tribit Stormbox Lava, and also the UBoomX. I’ve owned both, but sent the UBoom back because it was just not my esthetic. The Lava has great low and mid bass, and you can EQ it (9-band I think) to tailor your sound. For $100, it has lots going for it. It isn’t small, though…but it can fit in a 🎒.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Sub $100 speaker with deepest, richest bass that can comfortably be thrown in a backpack? ->Ehh I dunno about this. In my opinion you can’t compare the L to the X, they’re completely different use cases and other than portability the X outlcasses it. The superior extension and driver size makes a huge difference. The X has a number of indoor sound modes that reduces the inherent boominess of using these large speakers indoors and it’s unique in that aspect over other large speakers.
r/WirelessSpeakers • Looking for the best speaker at the 100-150$ price range ->I don’t think I’m a bot but the Earfun Uboom X is genuinely a great speaker that, for lack of a better term, punches above its weight. The EQ profiles and design give a lot of options for different settings where you might use it. Something that has to be said is that speakers will never last as long as they’re advertised when they are used outdoors at high volumes. I’d say the advertised playtimes are closer to what you’d get at 30-50% volume. I have the original Stormbox Blast and it’s nice, but the A/C charging limits its versatility imo. Something USB charged like the Uboom X would be easier to charge with a powerbank to extend its playtime when on a boat where you may be using it. I don’t dislike established brands like JBL and Sony, but it’s undeniable that you’re paying a decent chunk for the name and the sonic performance isn’t strictly better on something like the Boombox 3 vs the Uboom X.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best boombox speaker ->Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 - Compact with surprisingly decent low end Soundcore Boom 2 - Relatively portable w/ great sound Earfun Uboom X - Best overall sound but big Those are just my top choices in terms of price to performance that I’ve found and all have good IP ratings for outdoor use.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best speaker for weekend camping trips? Looking for something compact but not weak ->Brane x for a speaker that can give all the music. The boom 2 is good for on the go use because it has lots of bass and a good eq. The earfun uboom x is probably going to sound the best, it has an eq and is tuned to be neutral sounding Tribit just came put with their lava speaker, it seems to be better than the xtreme 4 for less than half the price
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Portable bluetooth speaker recommendations for someone who enjoys bass ->If its size and weight of 4.15 kg/9.15 lbs are not an obstacle for you, an EarFun UBOOM X (or even a pair?) offers sensational value for money.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best bang for your buck portable Bluetooth speaker? [$300 max but I’d rather go cheaper] ->I completely disagree. The UBOOM X sounds better on its own or as a pair with custom EQs. I often use it in TWS at private parties and events, and I get so much positive feedback about the sound. 😘
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best bang for your buck portable Bluetooth speaker? [$300 max but I’d rather go cheaper] ->Check out the EarFun UBOOM X, my comment referred to this speaker. Its sound is simply great. There are lots of videos on YouTube where you can see and hear it.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth Speaker for a small bedroom ->A pair of EarFun UBOOM X would be my recommendation. Together they sound like a small hi-fi system. Battery life is excellent. IP67 rating, so weatherproof. You shouldn't expect too much from the Beolit 20. It doesn't even come close to living up to its price. I was able to compare the two live. [https://ibb.co/yc7TdPkp](https://ibb.co/yc7TdPkp)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • ‘Audiophile’ Portable Speaker ->Hey Dave, If I remember correctly, we only had brief contact once. I must have made a lasting impression if you mention me explicitly in your post. Don't worry, regardless of the UBOOM X, there is no reason for me to watch your video, as it does not contain any valuable information for me. The UBOOM X clearly outperforms every single speaker on your desk, yet is priced in the mid-range. For an independent reviewer, that would certainly be noteworthy. But it seems that you only give good reviews in exchange for benefits from manufacturers. Shame on you.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • My picks for some of the best Bluetooth speakers you can buy right now ->The EarFun UBOOM X is significantly larger than your Wonderboom 2, but also in a different league in terms of sound. It's available for well under 200 dollars and definitely worth a look. It has an IP67 rating and floats. It is certainly too heavy to attach to a backpack with a carabiner, but a shoulder strap is included.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • best waterproof bluetooth speaker around $200? ->Generally speaking, I would definitely consider a stereo setup if it is somehow possible to place two speakers in your living room. For your purposes, I would therefore tend towards two active bookshelf speakers. You might also have a look on the second-hand market for a small hi-fi system. I would put the battery-powered speaker that you can take outside at the back of the list first. However, the EarFun UBOOM X already mentioned is a very good recommendation here, I have two and am very happy with them. I mean, if you can get along with its look, you can get a stereo setup for under 200 € that sounds comparable to two bookshelf speakers. That would be a great budget solution. But you give the impression that aesthetics are also very important to you, so I'll stick to my first recommendation of two active bookshelf speakers or a small hi-fi system with two passiv speakers and a small streaming amplifier or a classic integrated amplifier with Bluetooth adapter. There are many options if the whole thing doesn't have to be portable.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth speaker for living room use ->I recommend the EarFun UBOOM X. The Boom 2 Plus may appear to be more powerful on paper, but in real life I would see slight advantages for the UBOOM X. It is also usually available at a better price. I've been using the UBOOM X for several months now and I'm absolutely delighted with it. I've already had the opportunity to compare it once with the Boom 2 Plus. For me, the UBOOM X is the better choice.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth speaker around €150 right now? (Soundcore Boom 2 Plus on sale 👀) ->Interesting, thanks for your insights. I only had a brief opportunity to compare the UBOOM X with the Boom 2 Plus. I must admit that I practically never use the speaker at full volume. But of course I tried it out a little. With my own EQ, there is no distortion even at maximum volume. However, then it's not so extremely loud. I don't use Oluv's DSP programs because they all tend to sound a bit muffled in the midrange and, in most variants, have very sharp, hissing, unpleasant highs.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth speaker around €150 right now? (Soundcore Boom 2 Plus on sale 👀) ->One thing I find remarkable, however, is that the Boom 2 Plus has a slightly lower battery capacity than the UBOOM X (54.8 Wh compared to 60.4 Wh) and yet offers a longer runtime. This can only mean that it delivers less power. So much to the topic of 140 watts versus 80 watts.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth speaker around €150 right now? (Soundcore Boom 2 Plus on sale 👀) ->Inflated wattage figures have been used for marketing purposes for decades. Don't fall for it. There are several sound comparisons on YouTube: [https://youtu.be/twlnXn2Xdlw](https://youtu.be/twlnXn2Xdlw) [https://youtu.be/5qiTxfQ0nnI](https://youtu.be/5qiTxfQ0nnI) The UBOOM X outperforms the Boom 2 Plus in terms of overall sound quality as well as bass performance and bass depth. However, the differences are not that huge.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth speaker around €150 right now? (Soundcore Boom 2 Plus on sale 👀) ->I've owned two UBOOM Xs for about 6 weeks now and I'm really happy with them.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth Speaker: Patio/Pool Usage ->It actually floats. [https://youtu.be/i3LEQE\_FIlk](https://youtu.be/i3LEQE_FIlk)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth Speaker: Patio/Pool Usage ->And it is IP67 certified, i.e. dust and waterproof. However, I haven't tried dropping it on tiles yet ... 😉
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth Speaker: Patio/Pool Usage ->On my EarFun UBOOM X the call gets through the speaker and it gets loud with a good sound quality.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Speaker that will allow Bluetooth phone calls to go through?! ->EarFun UBOOM X, rich sound, excellent battery life, simple design, automatically connects to known devices. To connect for the first time, simply press the Bluetooth button once after pressing the power button, and that's it. Prompt tones can be disabled in the app.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Super simple to use Bluetooth speaker ->Thank you for the detailed review and for sharing your impressions. If you use Oluv's DSP programs you have to consider the following. These tend to be tuned towards the Smiley Curve. That means emphasized bass and treble (I know, the studio mode has strongly reduced bass, I try to stay general). In addition, there is also strong sound processing, such as stereo enhancement and compressor. You pay a high price for this, as details, resolution and dynamics of the music are lost. It is precisely in the mid-range, where important elements of the music such as vocals, instrument harmonies (guitar, keyboard, piano, brass instruments, snare and toms from the drums) are located, that the DSP programs weaken dramatically. To exaggerate, you could say that most of what you hear at the end is a droning boom-boom and a screeching hiss, hiss. With Oluvs DSP programs, the UBOOM X sounds like a different speaker. I mean that in an absolutely negative way. You describe yourself that you missed the midrange there. That's not the case with our own EQs. Ok, then of course you have to do without the stereo enhancement. A second speaker could be a good substitute for this. 😉 I also once had the opportunity to compare the Blast with the UBOOM X. I felt that the UBOOM X even had a slight advantage over the Blast in terms of overall sound quality and authenticity of music reproduction. What you say about the sound of the UBOOM X, I can't really understand. For me, the mids are very present and well balanced, the highs are detailed and crisp and remain pleasant over a wide volume range. I have to qualify these statements, as they refer to a portable Bluetooth speaker. Of course, the UBOOM X can't quite keep up with the sound of a good hi-fi system. This also applies to the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3, the B&W Formation Wedge, the Sonos Move 2 or the JBL Authentics 300/500, everyone must be aware of this. But the UBOOM X is undoubtedly very well positioned among other Bluetooth speakers, some of which have a significantly higher price tag.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Tribit Stormbox Blast vs. Earfun Uboom X - In depth review ->Everyone seems to hear a little differently. Or could it be that there are actually dispersion in production quality? I don't know. I can only reiterate that I find the treble of the UBOOM X to be authentic and pleasant and I have already heard several units of this model. You certainly give the impression that you know what you're talking about, and I would say the same of myself. The discussion on this topic is therefore likely to remain inconclusive. Incidentally, the lighting on the UBOOM X can be switched off completely, but not via the app, but by pressing the lighting button directly on the device several times, it is the second from the right. May I ask which European country you live in? Because in most European countries you can buy the UBOOM X for considerably less than € 160. I have two UBOOM X and have used them several times at smaller indoor and outdoor gatherings and so far everyone has been super enthusiastic about it.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Tribit Stormbox Blast vs. Earfun Uboom X - In depth review ->In this video by Alan Ross you can clearly see that the bass of the Brane X is strongly boosted at low volumes, but at volumes above 50% it is helplessly inferior to the bass performance of the JBL Boombox 3, which competes against the Brane X alongside the HK Go + Play 3 in this comparison. It's not a wonder speaker and it doesn't defy the laws of physics, but with some technical effort it produces a disproportionately strong bass at low volumes. I reckon that this speaker is less suitable for outdoor use than the UBOOM X, and at a several times higher price.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Speaker for outdoor activities ->Take a look at the EarFun UBOOM X, which you can buy for around $100. Here is a comparison video with the JBL Xtreme 4 and the JBL Charge 6, which might be interesting for you: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAj5BIASWL0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAj5BIASWL0)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Speaker for outdoor activities ->And I've read that the earth is flat. Neither is true. I've had two UBOOM Xs for two months and I can tell you they sound brilliant.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Speaker for outdoor activities ->What you don't know, you have to believe. I haven't had a chance to compare the two myself, but rest assured that the UBOOM X plays well above its price tag. For me, the pumping noise after turning on the Brane X and the non-muteable prompt tones would be a deal breaker. OP asked for a more powerful alternative for less money to the JBL Xtreme 4 and that is exactly what the UBOOM X is and the Brane X is not, from a purely objective point of view.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Speaker for outdoor activities ->I don't think the Soundguys are very reputable. They've just tested the new Soundcore Boom 3i and rated the small overpriced speaker an 8.4, while they've downgraded the speaker with the best price/performance ratio at the moment and an exceptionally authentic sound in the Bluetooth speaker segment, the EarFun UBOOM X, with a pathetic 5.9. On their website they have published completely wrong dimensions for the Soundcore Boom 3i. That doesn't give the impression that they work particularly carefully. It was clear to me at first glance that the values could not be correct. How can it be that the “testers” themselves hadn't noticed it yet? Is it possible that the manufacturer's data has been used without being checked? [https://ibb.co/RkNY3Bs5](https://ibb.co/RkNY3Bs5) Fun fact: Soundcore gave out the wrong measurements for the Motion Boom years ago, hardly any testers measured it or noticed that the values could not be correct. Testers placed the Motion Boom next to a JBL Extreme 4 and should have seen that both are about the same width, but they adopted the wrong values, in which the Motion Boom is supposed to be 35 cm wide. To me, this seems suspicious. A good reviewer checks the manufacturer's specifications, that's the basics of serious work. EDIT: Just had a look, Amazon still gives the wrong values. That's why I always have to laugh when Amazon's specifications are quoted here, e.g. speaker A goes down to 45 hz, speaker B down to 40, Amazon says ...
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Had a chance to check out the new Soundcore Boom 3i ->Yes, that is true in many areas. But there are always exceptions to the rule. Have you watched the video with headphones and listened critically? Read a bit in the comments too. The EarFun UBOOM X is a fantastic sounding Bluetooth speaker. This is especially true at low volumes, where some other speakers are simply too far off a neutral sound. One option that helps to improve the audio experience enormously is to use a stereo setup with two speakers placed at a distance from each other. This applies to any pair of speakers. With the UBOOM X this is possible on a budget. The sound of the UBOOM X can compete with significantly more expensive and larger speakers. It has to admit defeat here and there in terms of overall output and maximum volume. However, you not only pay a higher price for the others, but usually also have to come to terms with an (even) larger and (even) heavier speaker. The UBOOM X is a superb sounding Bluetooth speaker in a relatively compact design, with a moderate weight (4.15 kg) compared to its performance and a ridiculously low price for what it offers. It is currently unbeatable as a complete package and a pair of them sounds like a mid-range hi-fi system.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Speaker help/recommendations $400-$500 budget ->The JBL Boombox 3 is a great speaker, no question about it. It plays a little stronger and louder, and has a premium feel. It is also bigger and heavier. Disadvantages are that it can't easily be fitted with a shoulder strap and that you can't charge it with USB-C. I don't understand what you wrote about the sound quality dropping significantly and I can't relate to that either. I've already had the opportunity to compare the UBOOM X with a Boombox 3 outside in the park. In terms of sound, they were actually quite similar at higher volumes, only the Boombox has a little more power. When the UBOOM X was close to maximum volume, the Boombox was at around 80% and still had a bit of headroom. At lower volumes, however, I would say that the UBOOM X offers the better sound quality, as the bass on the Boombox is unnaturally boosted. I have two UBOOM Xs that I use both regularly in TWS mode and individually. I would also describe myself as an audiophile listener and have a high-quality stereo system installed in my living room. I mostly use my Bluetooth speakers for outdoor activities or at home in the bathroom. For outdoor use at a small party, I would always prefer two UBOOM Xs to one Boombox, because with two speakers you can simply distribute the sound better over an area and, depending on the listening position, you also benefit from the stereo stage. However, I hope you make a good decision and have a lot of fun with your future Bluetooth speaker.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Speaker help/recommendations $400-$500 budget ->If it can be bigger: I recommend you try to get hold of one of the last EarFun UBOOM Xs. Only remaining stocks are still being sold. Apart from the UK, it is no longer available in Europe. It sounds like a mid-range hi-fi system, especially at low volumes.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Is the Tribit XSound Surf good, or any other portable speaker under $100 for orchestral, cinematic, and house music at low volume? ->I've owned two UBOOM Xs for about 6 weeks now and I'm really happy with them.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • best sounding and loud bluetooth speaker under 200$? ->Check out the EarFun UBOOM X, which offers great and powerful sound and doesn't break the bank.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Need a speaker for restaurant kitchen ->The Boom 2 is a class below the other two. If a more compact form is important to you, you could make the compromise. In terms of sound and performance, the UBOOM X and the Boom 2 Plus offer significantly more. Both are competing products. The Boom 2 Plus seems to be more powerful on paper, but in real life I would see slight advantages for the UBOOM X. It's also a little cheaper and has a simpler, more classic design that doesn't look as toy-like as the Boom 2 Plus. That seems to me to be a better fit in a professional context.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Need a speaker for restaurant kitchen ->Get a pair of active bookshelf speakers in the price range up to 200$ for use with your computer and as a portable Bluetooth speaker choose the EarFun UBOOM X for just over 100$, which has a good and very powerful sound. This would be the best use of your budget.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best portable speaker with aux connection? ->What country do you live in? I ordered two UBOOM Xs from Amazon in Germany about two months ago. They were delivered within two days. The firmware version on delivery was V 0.41, in the meantime the two speakers have been updated to V 0.46. The prices for the UBOOM X also fluctuate weekly on Amazon in Germany. One week a very low price, one week a higher price, always alternating. This is called marketing. As far as I know, you can always order the UBOOM via the manufacturer's website for $104.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Cheapest best bt speaker with good bass 40W or higher ->I am very sorry to hear that. That is certainly annoying. If you order the UBOOM X from Amazon again, try using the code UBOOMXXX in the checkout process. That should save you a few more dollars.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Cheapest best bt speaker with good bass 40W or higher ->This. By far the best bang for your buck at around $100.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Cheapest best bt speaker with good bass 40W or higher ->To be honest, I don't really understand his claim. I assumed he was referring to the UBOOM X. I would actually describe it as a large Bluetooth speaker that costs around $100 and sounds really good, which is a clear counterexample to his claim.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Cheapest best bt speaker with good bass 40W or higher ->Do you misjudge reality? This does not apply to the UBOOM X, which is available for around 100$. And contrary to your claim, the UBOOM X, is an excellent sounding speaker. I have owned two of them for almost two months and can assure you of that. There are numerous videos on YouTube with sound samples or sound comparisons with other speakers. Everyone can hear for themselves. Note that it is important to use headphones for this sound comparison. If you listen to it through your Sony UL T1, you won't hear much difference 😉.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Cheapest best bt speaker with good bass 40W or higher ->The Motion Boom clearly outperforms the JBL Charge 6, which is many times more expensive. I can highly recommend it. Don't let the JBL fanboys talk you out of it. And if you want to take it to the next level, like I actually did, check out the EarFun UBOOM X, a boombox-class speaker with great sound quality. Here they stand side by side: [https://ibb.co/8Lr4Z2M4](https://ibb.co/8Lr4Z2M4) EDIT: The fact that ChatGPT recommended the UE Megabboom 4 clearly and dramatically shows the major weaknesses that AI still has today. 😂
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Outdoor speaker for rooftop terrace ->A little bigger/louder would be the JBL Boombox 3, but the release of its successor is expected soon. The EarFun UBOOM X is a little smaller/less loud, but far cheaper than the Boombox. I have two of them and am very satisfied. Sometimes I use one, sometimes I use both in stereo, which is another significant improvement in the sound experience. Despite the price of only around 100$, the UBOOM X is a impressive improvement over the JBL Xtreme as you can hear and see in the Youtube video “JBL Charge 6, Xtreme 4 & Earfun UBoom X - taking sound to the top”.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Need recommendations for a big Bluetooth speaker ->I’m no Bluetooth expert by any means but I find it sounds so much fuller and better than a motion plus and with similar fidelity. Hardly even comparable. All things considered I don’t know how much better someone could expect an affordable Bluetooth speaker to sound. Frankly I had no idea who you were when I bought it, and still hardly do. But regardless I think this thing is at the very least a really decent speaker for the price.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->That’s interesting. I’ve only really directly compared it to motion plus and boom 2. And I do find it better. As it should be costing more and being larger. I’m pretty pleased with mine but would be pretty skeptical so that it’s better than competitors that cost. Could be a sleazy marketing tactic or could be happy customers who’ve never actually tried pricier options lol
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->You’re likely right. Personally I feel it’s a very solid product and value but there’s no reason to trust some relatively unknown Chinese company coming out of nowhere to do their online marketing in good faith.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->How portable does it have to be ? If you’re looking to spend under $200ish I think the uboom x is damn near unbeatable in terms of bass and overall sound quality. From personal experience I can tell you it‘s quite a bit better than the boom 2.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What’s a good portable speaker with a LOT of bass? ->I have 2 uboom x's, you cant use oluvs EQ's in party mode or tws without stuttering. So no the king is not dead unfortunately. Also your comment history is you shilling uboom x all day everyday like it is your job, in more than 1 language aswell, so your opinion doesnt count. Who are you, oluv ? If it is tell earfun to fix there speakers with a new firmware update to use your EQ's in tws and party mode
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • I’ve been wondering, what is the best Bluetooth speaker (portable) under £200? I’m an audiophile.. ->Your whole account is uboom x spamming, I never said it wasnt a good speaker but your trying to say it's better than it is, probably for financial gain when it has issues when using any of oluvs EQ's in tws and party mode. The stormbox blast is a better more realistic sounding speaker without any special tuning that doesnt suffer with stuttering in tws and isn't much more in money, granted its bigger heavier and less travel friendly due to not having tws but it's far from dead and is the best in it's price range, ie slighty more As a stand alone speaker, uboom x is probably the best speaker in its price range, because of oluvs EQ'S bring it to life, but only being able to use it on 1 speaker at a time feels like an unfinished product pump and dump. It's funny you have not mentioned this in just 1 of your posts despite the app even saying it stutters using oluvs EQ's
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • I’ve been wondering, what is the best Bluetooth speaker (portable) under £200? I’m an audiophile.. ->If it's for a home speaker for around the house or maybe the back yard on a sunny day I recommend the harmon kardon go play 3, battery life is around 6 hours to 9 hours at normal listening levels, and it's probably the cheapest best sounding speaker in your price range while also saving you money. It's not a speaker that's travel friendly at all though, it has an exposed downward facing subwoofer, needs to be main charged, not waterproof and has a fabric type of cover. For a speaker for outside and inside the tribit stormbox blast is hard to beat for sound quality and price, it has a 30 hour battery life but is mains charged only. Another speaker that is good is earfun uboom x, it's a little lighter and smaller plus cheaper than the blast and takes usb fast charge. It doesnt sound quite as good as the blast but it's really close to as good and very eq able plus has carry strap making it more travel friendly
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for help. Searching for a bluetooth speaker. 300-500 dollars, good sound clarity and bass. Anything but Bose ->Just get the earfun uboomx, no reason to stick with a tool manufacturer on this one. It's crazy and if you're worried about battery life somehow, just buy 3 of them instead of this ego speaker.
r/egopowerplus • EGO Bluetooth Speaker ->Thank you for your response. I ordered the UBOOMX with your code. Thank you.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Cheapest best bt speaker with good bass 40W or higher ->You could get a pair of earfun uboom x, in the backseat. I have a single one paid around 110€. I use it in the back of my gf's swift with oluv's eq indoor, and it is way less fatiguing that the original stereo. Doubling the speakers would beat many oem stereos.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best speaker for a car with no stereo? ->Speaker Review: Soundcore Motion Boom 2 Plus: Pros: - It gets loud - The bass punch is phenomenal - Great app - Very quick connectivity - Lightweight & Portable - Great RGB on the sides - Water resistant and is able to float - Quick charge Cons: - Loses power in the bass a little after the punch - Doesn’t get as deep of a bass as others in its category - Sounds direct and a little boxy - Loses a lot of bass at 80%+ volume - Less battery life than it’s competitors (20hrs) - Not dust proof Overall, a great speaker if you love really punchy bass with a more direct sound and narrower sound stage. Sounds good at any volume besides when you go above 80%, then the sound quality has a massive drop. Has great connectivity and i never experienced any drops. EarFun UBOOM X: Pros: - Great volume output - Amazing clean & deep bass - Good app - Quick connectivity - Sounds wider and fuller - Clean overall sound with Oluv’s EQ - Even close to max volume it sounds great (not so great on max volume) - 30hrs battery life - Quick charge - Cheaper than its competitors - Water & Dust proof - Able to float Cons: - Lacked very slightly in the original punch of a kick (otherwise really clean and punchy bass) - RGB isn’t as fun Overall, this is an amazing sounding speaker at any volume besides max volume with very clean bass and a wide and full sound stage. The EQ that is my favorite is Outdoor + because of the extra bass it provides, while maintaining a clean overall sound. Has great connectivity, but i have experienced drops when i was connected to multiple speakers at once, otherwise not a single drop. Out of these 2 it was a pretty easy decision going for the EarFun UBOOM X, as in general it has the cleaner sound, deeper bass, wider sound stage, and is also cheaper. The tests i did included driving around in my car, having them in my bedroom, and outside in the backyard. I still have to test out the Tribit Stormbox Blast which arrives this upcoming Tuesday. I will make another review once I have tested that one out.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for advise on which speaker to buy ->This whole thing was just handled poorly by Earfun Firstly the price, on amazon the uboomx sells for $160 but we know thats not the actual price factoring discount codes but the average amazon shopper wouldn't know that, they should've priced it at $125 and just gave you a percentage for each unit sold Secondly the out of box experience, they hired you to tune the thing but the fact that its bombarded by a million other eq's just defeats the purpose, had it came with its current firmware with just your tuning out of the box that would've made the user experience so much simpler All in all the creative direction between you and earfun ultimately made this speaker a confusing mess with no identity and it shows, its not your fault, they hired you to do a job and they just didnt trust you all the way. Lowkey i would actually like to see you do this again but with a different company that would actually respect your decision making, maybe Tribit? but i'd understand if you didnt.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The truth about the Earfun UBoom X and my part ->I really like the UBOOM X, but I wouldn't call it a premium product. It has cheap startup sounds, and the build quality isn't very premium either. It's just plastic and a bit of rubber. It does sound good tho.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best premium medium-large portable BT speaker (can be carried) any price ->Still doesn't feel like a premium product. And the design is very bland. It just sounds good, that's about it.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best premium medium-large portable BT speaker (can be carried) any price ->I wouldn't recommend any Earfun speaker to someone who isn't very tech savy. Every Earfun speaker sounds mediocre out of the box and they need EQing. I really like my UBOOM X, but I just can't recommend it to my mom. That's why my mom has a JBL Charge. Also, any of the stock (normal or OLUV's) EQs are way too focused on deep bass, which isn't the best with classical music. And it's not very portable I think, it's rather huge.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Super simple to use Bluetooth speaker ->Those are all very different speakers, but if you want to have the best sound, bigger is almost always better. UBOOM X is a good choice.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which one is best out of these never used a good bluetooth speaker before want to try. For both indoor and outdoor use but mainly indoors ->Not really, the uboom x sounds way better than the stormbox blast 2
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Honest review of the Earfun Uboom L. ->I feel it. With that budget, I'd go with the UBOOM X. I was one of those people that would talk shit about it because I saw so many people hyping it up, but I gave it a chance and it is well worth the money I paid for ($103). But even on prime you can snag it for around $120 which is still a good deal. If you do go this route, make sure you put UBOOMXXX in the discount code thing in Amazon. It should bring it down to that price. Just helping a fellow Redditor out. I also heard they're discontinuing the UBOOM X. $15 bucks more you can get the Tribit Stormbox Blast which, in my opinion, is an awesome speaker. The choice is yours.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Loudest portable speakers under $150 ->I’m not sure. My cousin purchased it on Sunday and the code was valid. You must have prime though. If it’s not valid even with a prime subscription, then that sucks. They must’ve removed it.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Loudest portable speakers under $150 ->Aiwa Exos-9, but they stopped making it sadly. Maybe the HK GO Play would be good. I've got the UBoom X, but I think the Exos-9 is still better for bass. Dedicated subwoofer after all.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Punchiest bass on home/portable speaker? 2025 ->Mr. Obvious obviously downvoted this too. I returned my UBOOM X it was hot trash. The Stormbox Blast 2 is where it’s at.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Honest review of the Earfun Uboom L. ->Also would go for 2x Stormbox blast over the Uboom X. They just sound better to me and not by a small amount.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth Speaker 2025? ->I have both, the Uboom X is a different class of speaker. Boom 2 wins for portability, weight, casual listening. Uboom X is a party speaker in many ways. It competes with the JBL Xtreme. It weighs 2.5x the boom 2 and is larger in size. They both are great, but for different reasons. I am not sure, but I would guess the Uboom X would outperform two boom 2s. With the Oluv EQs, the earfun stock EQs are trash.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • My thoughts on the Soundcore Motion 300 and the Earfun UBOOM L ->Agree, I had the uboom X and really wanted to keep it at $110. The sound was really good with Olaf eq. I just didn’t have a use case for it, also wanted to keep my ecosphere to 1 or 2 brands for party cast. But it was definately “would keep” category.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • My picks for some of the best Bluetooth speakers you can buy right now ->I recently tried a UBoom X, Tribit Lava and a Soundcore Boom 2 as an upgrade to my Soundcore Motion+. They all did worse than the Motion+. Then I thought, I might as well splash out on a Bose Soundlink Max. I tried it, compared it to the Soundcore Motion+ and hey, what do you know, the Motion+ had better clarity, seperation and midrange. The Soundlink Max had more deep bass, but that was it. Moral of the story: we all have different tastes. There are a lot of "bAss GoOd" posters here, who just value a big rumble. Just order a bunch from Amazon, try them, and return the ones you don't like. Also the UboomX is getting heavily shilled here. It looks like ass and doesn't sound as great as certain posters make it out to be.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Absolute best speaker under $400? ->I've got the uboom x but I would recommend something else (lack of bass). JBL encore essential has good bass and is way loud. Check it out
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What’s the loudest speaker, with the best sound, that I can easily take on an airplane? Under $300 please. ->Uboom X really impressed me with its bass and sound quality. Really solid battery life too. Only downside is the TWS being choppy with Oluv’s sound profiles
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What’s a good portable speaker with a LOT of bass? ->Suitcase size, Soundcore motion + (with eq) Bose Soundlink flex Gen 2 (not so muddy as Gen1, wait for a sale again. It was 40€ off couple days ago e.g. where i live) If you want to stand it upwards (good for small spaces like hotels) sony ult field 1 is a consideration e.g., but sound is slightly worse than the mentioned two Then get real wired speakers for your desk, not bluetooth stuff. The is often a delay with bluetooth, annoying when watching movies. You dont want to take a go and play with you, trust me. Too big and heavy. If you're saying you also need that power outdoors its different. But i heard uboom x apparently is very good. You can get two to pair them.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for a speaker for my bedroom ->Another vote for the Tribit Stormbox Blast (original, not the 2). Won every time I compared it directly to the UBOOM X, which sounded hollow in comparison. I can see someone thinking the UBoom is slightly better if they like that sound profile better but be wary of reviews that make it sound like the best speaker all the time. Something odd about those reviews. Just buy them both from a retailer which allows easy returns and make your own decision.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth Speaker 2025? ->My experience: I ordered the Soundcore Boom 2, the UBoom X, and Tribit Blast. I know everyone has their own opinion, but here’s mine. I liked the Blast the best for its musicality, loudness, vocal clarity, and having an Aux In for a better TV sounds (especially baseball games). Next was the Boom 2, which sounds warmer but not quite as room filling, it’s great, smaller size, and for not much more $, the ability to have two linked together (but no Aux In). Also, the Blast seems to charge faster with its direct Ac plug in and longer lasting battery. I found the UBoom to not sound quite as good as the other two. I’d love to get others’ opinions in case I missed something.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for advise on which speaker to buy ->Seconded for Uboom X. It’s very loud and sounds great.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Loudest portable speakers under $150 ->I have 3 of them. Lava, blast 2 and uboom x. If you want power, get blast 2. Lava should be your last option. Doesn’t come close to blast 2 and uboom x. If you want good enough bass with pretty much “hifi” sound indoors. Can’t recommend uboom enough. I can send you proof of those 3 together if you want. I also have boombox 3 wifi too(best of the 3) Also I am from India. Uboom x used to be around 16k. Now it’s 18k. Was out of stock for more than a month.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which one is best out of these never used a good bluetooth speaker before want to try. For both indoor and outdoor use but mainly indoors ->Get the uboom then. It does good in my 30x20ft room. It has good enough bass and clarity. Don’t expect a powerhouse. If you want pretty good bass which will rumble your room. Get blast 2. Clarity is mediocre. Aren’t you interested in Jbl encore essential?? Bass is almost the same as blast 2 with good enough clarity. But battery is abysmal. 4 to 5 hours backup in 50% volume.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which one is best out of these never used a good bluetooth speaker before want to try. For both indoor and outdoor use but mainly indoors ->Battery depends on what songs you play too. If it has lots of bass. Expect the speaker to eat more battery. Also using blast 2 inside won’t be a problem but its main use is outdoors. The reason I recommended uboom instead of blast even though blast 2 has harder and louder bass is because, using indoor we tend to listen at 30 % 40% 50% volume. That’s where uboom shine. It has bass and clarity even in low volumes, in blast 2, you have to turn up the volume above 50%. And mid and clarity of blast 2 is not good compared to ubooom. 13k for encore essential, give it a try at nearby Croma or any electronic store. You can save some ₹₹ Also don’t expect uboom x to drop below 15k. It never went below 15k even in big billion days last year.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which one is best out of these never used a good bluetooth speaker before want to try. For both indoor and outdoor use but mainly indoors ->I did a deep dive on this a while back and settled on an Earfün Uboom, which was recommended for two reasons 1. It has firmware available that was tuned by some famous audiophile guy 2. You can find coupons for it that give you like 20 bucks off so it's like 50-60 bucks. It has aux in as well as BT. Good battery life. You just need to be comfortable with the idea of changing the firmware to the specific recommended version. I use mine all the time. It can get quite loud but it is also absolutely dreamy at low volume. Sometimes I rest it on my forehead and it feels like I am wearing fancy invisible headphones. Also, you should read the user manual. It has two modes, one high latency mode for multi-device bluetooth and a low latency mode for single device bluetooth / aux. You switch by double pressing the BT button. Oh and it's waterproof I guess but I'm not going to test it. I like mine quite a lot. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bluetooth_Speakers/comments/1fle9of/the_earfun_uboom_l_is_insanely_good/
