Harman Kardon Luna and Go+Play, both. And if you can 2 moons better
Two Bluetooth speakers linked into a stereo pair. Which can sound very surprisingly good. Hell, I was at a funeral where they didn't really have a sound system in the old stone church, they stood up a Harman Kardon Go + Play (a single) to play a requested piece of music and it was shockingly capable even in that space.
I'm also an audiophile and looking for something to use in my backyard/porch. Just got a Harman Kardon Go Play and it's alright but I think I'll need more oomph sometimes. My research is leading me to the JBL Boombox 3 WiFi. It supposedly has better mids than the Boombox 4 (they eliminated the midrange drivers in the 4 and apparently the woofers provide the midrange which sounds less than ideal to me.) Also since I'll be using this pretty much always around the house, I can use it in WiFi mode and it will stream lossless music. Apparently this thing goes super loud with great bass but I'm not trying to make my neighbors mad so I doubt I'll crank it much, but the clarity is something I'm after and I'm always happy to have extra power on tap! It's supposed to be mighty, and sound amazing. Worth trying for the current $350 or so IMO.
HK obv goes lower with higher decibels on low frequencies but loudness is almost the same besides the bass.
I only have one which is the Hk go play 2
I compared the sound of the boombox 3 and the HK, and I chose the HK because it sounds more refined. The HK also goes deeper without sounding harsh at maximum volume, unlike the boombox 3.
Harman Kardon Go + Play and don’t look back
I went with the Go Play + for $150

h/k go play +3. $159. End game!
