"Besame Mucho/Love in Portofino by Andrea Bocelli sounds so satisfying and rich on the Luna—considering the price. ... Highly produced music like Lady Gaga’s Abracadabra or Disease don’t sound convoluted or congested either; the bass sounds rich and the highs are very crisp. Vocals sound full and it’s just a joy to use the Luna with every genre. ... It’s a very well-rounded unit but I think it definitely shines the most when listening to Bossa Nova, Jazz, Ballads, etc ... It still does a great job when it comes to POP and EDM."

Harmon Kardon Luna sounds very very good as a TV speaker. I use it for my bedroom TV and vocals are extremely clear and it goes loud.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Portable BT Speaker-Music & TV? ->I just picked one up on sale. And out of the box I say that the sound quality is very very good. It will eventually sound better once you break it in. I'm confident that this does sound better than the JBL charge 5 that many said online.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->Ive been enjoying the Luna for 4 days now and I love the sound from it. But also having many JBL Bluetooth speakers. I can tell you that there's no way that the Luna is waterproof or dustproof to the extent of the JBL speakers. I mean look at the back of the Luna, the USB-C port isn't even gasket sealed lol. The port is completely exposed. And this is supposed to be dust and waterproof? Lol ya right. I have a lot less confidence in the fabric material on the Luna than on any JBL. Luckily I'm using my Luna strictly as a TV speaker so it will stay inside all the time. But there's no way that this compares to JBL speakers for rugged build quality.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->Does the HK Luna charge and play at the same time?
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->I was going to do this but I read on here that they dont automatically pair with each other when you turn both on. This was a deal breaker for me. So I just use one Luna.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->Grab yourself a Harman Kardon Luna
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best tiny bluetooth speaker ->2 Lunas in Stereo are a revelation ;)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best BT Speaker Under $150 or Less? ->Hey, I'd recommend HK Luna. Especially if you can find it in your budget range on an offer because i think the usual price it's around 140$ or so. Checked a lot of speakers and Luna stand out the most for me. Though Bose SoundLink flex 2 is an alternative i just prefer the sound from the luna more. At this point it's more of a preference if the budget is not an issue. if you want to go super budget Xiaomi Outdoor Sound is the best bang for your buck, or the uboom L. JBL flip 6 is not worth the money. Beats Pill 2024 is a runner up but a good choice as well, though for an extra 10-15$ I'd rather go for the luna or flex 2.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which is the best portable speaker on sale currently? (Budget ~120$) ->I have both and honestly they sound pretty similar, mainly just a different in size. The tuning feels almost the same. If you want deep room shaking bass, go for Onyx 6, at the cost of some portability but Onyx 6 isn’t bad to carry around either. The handle is great. I love my Onyx 6 but I end up using the Luna more since it’s smaller and still has surprisingly solid bass for its size. Obviously it can’t match the Onyx 6 in volume or room filling sound, but up close on my desk it sounds great
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Harman Kardon Luna vs Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 6 ->Harman Kardon Luna, Apple Beats Pill 2024, Bose Flex 2 Gen ? By pair to have stereo (Yes, more money 😬), I ranked them by preference. I use daily (at low volume with a nice 'kick' if you know what I mean) 2 Pill + 2 Luna, paired all together 😍 The Pill can go lower (56 Hz) while the Luna only 60 Hz and it show in rendition but the Luna's are wider in soundstage. The bass are worse on Bose Flex 2 Gen since it can't go lower than \~64Hz while only going up to 18kHz, the other 2 are up until 20 kHz. If affect the rendition and when compared ear by ear, it's 'hearable' ? Yet if you don't compare them, they all sound more than okay. I couldn't just do it with a mono sound, 2 paired placed strategically render way much than just one speaker, even bigger. And while some HK Go+Play 3 seems nice, it only offer SBC for example, in 2025 HK should offer AAC or even LDAC. At low volume it wouldn't be so pleasant I think, I only have a Onyx Studio in this 'range' to compare. What is the budget / are from if I can ask? Perhaps the genre listened too, or if it varies much like me 😬
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Need a Bluetooth speaker that sounds good at low volumes—any recs? ->The Luna can be found on Amazon for about €112 ATM, that's a fair price considering the 179 originally asked. There is some con though, only down to 60 Hz as mentionned and also only SBC, no app support meaning no EQ except if you use one before sending the sound. No jack either nor USB C Audio, which the Beats Pill provide and is a nice feature to have. The HK Luna in the US offer the USB Audio btw, same on others models, JBL said it was due to some licences. Great in Europe to have same price and limited features 😭 I found the Pill for €100 when in sales a few weeks back, but that's an indoor speaker given the grille, one drop and it's dented haha. Don't get me wrong, they both sound great; but I prefer them in pair since most speaker are mono and not stereo from the start, the sound will sound 'tiny'. As for the [Earfun](https://www.myearfun.com/speakers/earfun-uboom-l-portable-waterproof-bluetooth-speakers-black) mentionned by someone esle, I was hesitant too because of the low price on the site, way cheaper than Amazon and for 2 it'll be only €80. Since the return isn't free like on Amazon and since I couldn't find the range, asked Perplexity and found [Rtings](https://www.rtings.com/speaker/reviews/earfun/uboom-l) which resume by : >The EarFun UBOOM® L Bluetooth speaker has a tested frequency response range of approximately 74.4Hz (low-frequency extension) to 16.3kHz (high-frequency extension). This means it starts to roll off below 74Hz in the bass and doesn't reproduce the deepest sub-bass, while the treble extends up to about 16.3kHz. So, in rendition, the low bass from EDM and some techno or dub step will sound dull on it. And given they can't seem to go higher than 16.3kHz, it'll lack a bit in that area. Hence why I didn't purchased, there is some video on youtube comparing one vs a Denon Envaya which was way better in rendition, it can be heard :) In that price range, you might consider Xiaomi ASM02 (€60 on Amazon, 360° 40W and app support) but a little bit too much emphasized on the high/treble, there is also the Xiaomi Sound Outdoor (nop app support/EQ) which is about €40 each, mono sound of 30W but less treble, more boomy, kinda a JBL Flip 6 and sometimes better imho (I have 2 along with one 40W 🤭) I don't plan to spend more than €100 on a bluetooth speaker that are SBC only and/or without any battery swappable capability. When the battery is dead, so is the speaker, kinda if it's not easily remplacable :)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Need a Bluetooth speaker that sounds good at low volumes—any recs? ->You should search on Rtings it was my way of doing it it using google search with the name of the speaker, add Rtings and using the google traduction feature to bypass the 10 article/month limitation. Private nagivation will do the trick too haha. Feel free to listen some JBL or Harman or Marshal perhaps in store if you have the occasion. Perhaps you find one disturbing in some area or one that'll please your ear like I have with my Luna's. Perhaps it's because I listened a lot on my Onyx Studio before haha, and wanted something more portable / 'hideable', yet powerful. The bass are better on the Onyx Studio, mais it's not a speaker made to low to moderate volume per se :) I hope you'll find one or ones in stereo that suits you haha :)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Need a Bluetooth speaker that sounds good at low volumes—any recs? ->The Luna is perfect for what it is, crystal clear sound with really well balanced bass. Basically the go + play 3 in a much more portable package. I can see the speaker getting turned on accidentally in a bag with the button design but otherwise feels well made and its nice to have the water and dust proof rating. Highly recommend. It's everything the JBL charge and Bose soundlink are with much better clarity.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->u can get 2 lunas, they will pair with each other and u get true stereo and better sound.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->I rarely use mine, only when watching movies on my laptop, so it really isn't bothersome to me.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->I'm happy with the bass response on my Harman Kardon Luna, but you should certainly test it before buying.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Smallest BT speaker with Best Bass response? ->bose soundlink micro pero nasa 8k. pero it's the most portable with best sound. at slightly below price, harmann kardon luna, a little bit of heft kasi medyo bulky. pero if you're really stingy, try edifier extreme connect.
r/Tech_Philippines • Looking for portable speaker recommendations ->This speaker doesn’t get enough recognition in its league
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Design & Quality: What’s the best bluetooth speaker currently available? ->Agree! I returned mine only because I had gotten it for a specific occasion that never happened and I no longer really needed it, with my home audio setup being more than adequate.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->Thanks for your input. You're right about JBL being a subbrand of HK, but I crossed out JBL as I prefer more understated looks. The speaker is meant for a small condo, a medium-sized yoga room for a few weeks and occasional picnics, so nothing too demanding. Also I don't want to go another size up to sacrifice portability, otherwise this could've been a conversation about Onyx Studio.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->This is useful. Thanks friend!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->I got mine and eventually returned it so I can't test that, but I think yes it does.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->If you're suggesting it's because they produce bad speakers, that's not necessarily the case, or not the only explanation. That could be down to poor marketing or the brand's presence in different regions. Take Peugeot for example. It's a major global car brand but it's absent in North America. Does it mean Peugeot is trash? You'd know they make decent cars if you've ever driven one elsewhere in the world.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->I definitely see what you mean. Some of those picks especially in the top 10 are quite curious. And yes, shopping for a speaker based on reviews and video comparisons with all the variables and preferences involved is harder than shopping for pretty much anything else online. I ordered a Luna on sale. I love the looks already and will keep it if it sounds decent enough.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->Oops, apologies -- I always have a ton of notifications and probably missed the Q. I returned mine purely because I needed a BT speaker for a series of gatherings at the time that never happened. In the absence of those events, I had little use for a Bluetooth speaker of any kind -- big or small -- and eventually decided to return my Luna. If I need a new speaker again though, I would probably broaden my search. I got a Soundcore Motion 300 for my dad (different needs and obviously less demanding ears) and I was very impressed by its power and clarity. The 300 and Luna are not exactly comparable products especially price wise -- but the 300 packed a lot of punch for its price whereas Luna delivered more crisp and clear vocals in my perception.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->Harman Kardon Luna (Boombox 3 has very aggressive treble, I don't recommend it)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth speaker ear piercing and agressive treble? ->Harman Kardon Luna sounds great at low volume and its sound is very pleasant, hk go play 3 too
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Speaker For QUIET Listening ->The voices on the Harman Kardon Luna sound fantastic and very natural.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for bluetooth speaker with no bass at all and vocal clarity. ->For clarity/sound quality Harman kardon Luna probably. Have you tried that against your earfun uboom x?
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best budget portable speaker with great sound quality?(Under $150) ->I started loving the luna more than before. My trick is using the samsung music dolby atmos function to enhance the treble which sometimes lacks on the luna to my ears. The go & play 3 is amazing, the battery life is a bit disappointing tho. I take the luna to work just to listen in the office. But when it comes to the go play 3 i love the bass, but i don't end up using it as much. Because sometimes i prefer something smaller indoors to take from a room to another. I use the soundlink max more, but the bass on the HK is another level.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • From HK Luna to Go + Play 3 ->Ofc, i will compare it to the bose flex , motion 300, harman luna, flip 6, charge 5, xsound plus 2 and will rate it based on that.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • New Xiaomi bluetooth speaker ->Currently my top ones are the bose flex 2nd gen, luna and motion 300. Kinda hard to choose, but flex 2 is currently my go 2.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • New Xiaomi bluetooth speaker ->But lately i found myself using the hk luna way more.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best BT Speaker Under $150 or Less? ->Harman kardob luna has the type of treble you'd like
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth speaker ear piercing and agressive treble? ->It has a tweeter but their tuning is pretty treble light. The tweeter is used for pure clarity rather than bright sound. It's warm sounding
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth speaker ear piercing and agressive treble? ->Boom 3i updated eq: [edens4784] share SP critic EQ P EQ from soundcore Boom 3i with you. https://dl-soundcore.soundcore.com/qcdl?flow=soundcore&tk=jnit74Fz&pn=D5100&rg=GW To use, copy the link and open the speaker homepage on the soundcore app. Sorry for the constant eq updates, the boom 3i is one of the toughest speakers to eq. You always end up changing something. I think this comparison is worth doing because of being at a similar size category, and not that different in price (129.99$ on amazon vs 149.99$ on official harman kardon) Even though the boom 3i has frequent sales and coupons bringing it down to 90-100$. I can understand that both were made for almost completely different scenarios, the harman being that premium home friendly speaker, and the soundcore being the speaker you can take outdoors with no worries, throw in sand or water, blasting max volume. But i still feel like some people would have a rough time deciding, and i want to make things clear. The luna is a factory tuned speaker. It has no app, no adjustments, just what you get out of the box. While you can change it via 3rd party eq's, i don't see that as an option because of volume reduction, and it personally dosen't feel original or right. If you don't like the warm sound signature just don't get the luna. By trying to brighten it you end up losing volume. COMPARISON BY CATEGORIES: -Build quality: the luna is well built, better looking and better feeling. The boom 3i is more plasticy cheaper feeling. -durability: 100% on soundcore's favor. Way safer to use outdoors, more drop proof, better with water and sand and probably sea water. (Not sponsored) The luna looks better for home use, more esthetic and modern. It can be taken outdoors for sure, but i'd be more careful and always watch where i put it. -Features: the luna has no features pretty much. The soundcore has plenty, some of them are just soundcore marketing. But the great eq by soundcore is the best feature it has. But something about the luna having no features makes it feel like a whole package with harman's signature for those who are fans of harman products and appreciate their signature. - battery life: the soundcore is rated for 4 hours longer than the harman (16 vs 12) but i can easily see it going for 12 or less using bassup mode or lights. I will test the battery life of the soundcore later on, but the battery rating of the luna is pretty accurate and i have no complaints, even tho it could be more, but that's a typical harman battery rating as we saw with the rest of their speakers (onyx, go play etc) . At similar volumes, the soundcore would last longer i believe. SOUND: -treble: the boom 3i is a brighter speaker than the luna, while non of them is more "sparkly" than the other. You can tone down the treble of the soundcore to make it similar to the harman, but i still think the treble of the luna has more smoothness and clarity overall. I would still like the soundcore to be brighter, because of the slight lack of detail from the tweeter. -mids: the mids of the harman are pretty strong, but it lacks in the uppermids sometimes, which is why it sounds so warm. You can make it better on the boom 3i, but you'll have to reduce something else like upperbass because otherwise it would sound too boomy. Lower mids are strong on both, but the luna feels smoother and more detailed. The eq can help a lot with the boom 3i, but it was very hard to replicate the luna's lower mids. -bass: the 3i can go deeper than the luna for sure, especially when adding 50 - 60 hz on the eq, but i don't think it's a great idea, as it reduces the overall sound quality. The luna is almost on point with it's depth limit, but sometimes it does feel like it could be a little deeper and less boomy. With the eq i provided at the top of the post, i did some balancing between the deep bass and upper bass. Overall clarity goes to the luna, it has a better dsp and looks like it does a better job at handling more complicated soundtracks. the soundcore does get louder and will be heard from further away than the luna. It also has less bass reduction than the luna. At bassup, the soundcore tends to distort at high volumes, which is why my eq is for bassup off only. Overall, i think it boils down to your purpose of getting a speaker. You want something loud for outdoor conditions and to throw it in your backpack? Go with the soundcore. You want a premium and elegant looking speaker for home decor and lower volume listening? get the harman. As always, thank you for taking a look. 🔈🔈
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore Boom 3i vs Harman kardon luna ->Got my Harman/Kardon Luna speaker last week and I’m impressed! ;) (121€ on amazon Germany)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best BT Speaker Under $150 or Less? ->Happens to me all the time, about the only thing I don’t like about it. The fabric is also a dust magnet lol.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->Better in every way, the sound of the Luna is just so much more refined than the Flip. You won’t regret it.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Thoughts on Harman Kardon Luna? ->I know they’re not in the same league at all but I prefer sound quality over portability and I’m home 90% of the time. If I’m travelling to far places, my 16” M3 MacBook or 12.9” iPad Pro usually do the job pretty well so no need for small portable speaker. If I do feel like bringing a speaker to an out of town trip, I drive anyway so I wanted a bigger unit that won’t compromise on sound quality too much and can still deliver great audio over larger spaces. The Luna sounds great, I love it, but I just needed a little more ‘oomph’. I’ve since given the Luna to my mom. I’ve always had a thing for the sound signature of HK, not overly analytical nor too boomy—though, some might disagree with my last statement, that’s okay this is subjective after all. For me, it sounds mostly flat but good clarity, separation, vocals are a bit more forward, and a hint of VERY PLEASANT WARMTH that makes long hours of listening very enjoyable. I’ve only had this for a few hours, might write a review in the future for those who are still on the fence about purchasing this. What I’ve noticed so far: - More than enough volume for my needs, never going past 50% on my iPhone. - Amazing build quality for the price. - Great audio quality, as expected from HK, price/performance ratio will always be king. - Quite heavy to be honest. - Exposed subwoofer doesn’t inspire confidence, then again, I’ve always used all of my wireless speakers on flat surfaces. Other things to note: I’m very disappointed with the fact that HK didn’t even bother with APTX adaptive or LDAC with this unit. I have a Samsung Z Flip 5 which I use exclusively as a portable audio player paired with my Sony WH1000XM5–the difference in audio quality between AAC/SBC vs LDAC on Android is very apparent. (I use Apple Music, all songs in lossless format) On iOS, though, AAC sounds particularly good, but I wish a better bluetooth audio protocol was integrated into the product. Just a bit of a letdown for a “flagship” model from the HK house. Yet to try hooking it up to my MBP via 3.5mm cable, tomorrow I’ll give it a shot. Sorry for the long post, tried my best to be objective and helpful. :) (Also, I bought it for like $290, cheapest I could find here in the Middle East)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • From HK Luna to Go + Play 3 ->The Luna is not the loudest compact BT speaker out there but it can definitely stand its ground considering the price and overall quality of the materials. Vocals sound a bit forward, clear and full, a touch of warmth as usual for HK speakers, you’re familiar with the tuning of HK so I’m sure you know what I mean haha. I just can’t bring myself to like the tuning of any JBL speaker, the Flip sounds so abhorrent to my ears, the exaggerated V profile is so… harsh. If you like warm, clear, and full sounding bluetooth speakers (and I’m sure you do) I suggest getting the Luna and it’s a great value too coz it’s always on sale. I think you won’t regret it. Besame Mucho/Love in Portofino by Andrea Bocelli sounds so satisfying and rich on the Luna—considering the price. Highly produced music like Lady Gaga’s Abracadabra or Disease don’t sound convoluted or congested either; the bass sounds rich and the highs are very crisp. Vocals sound full and it’s just a joy to use the Luna with every genre. It’s a very well-rounded unit but I think it definitely shines the most when listening to Bossa Nova, Jazz, Ballads, etc It still does a great job when it comes to POP and EDM. Very pleasant and non-fatiguing sound signature. Even at max volume we used it twice during camping but typical of small BT speakers, distortion does happen. Just not as much compared to JBLs or Bose units because I think HK did limit the volume on the Luna to minimise distortion at max volume which is a good thing. Battery life lasts me a great while at moderate volume like 60-70% as well.
