The Marshall emberton 3, UE everboom & epic boom are 360⁰ speakers this is subjectively worse than a forward firing speaker for soundquality.
I just scored a Harman Kardon onyx 6, off of Mercari last week for $100! A great speaker! I will buy that Bose in a few days, the sale ends on the 7th, I believe.
Hey! I had onyx studio 6 but tore the subwoofer and all passive radiators ahahaha. I'm planning to buy harman kardon luna. Could you tell me the difference between these too? Like is the sound stage the exact same and the only difference is bass and bass depth? How deep and thick bass is on luna? Onyx studio 6 had window shaking bass and it was mind bowling how deep and strong it goes (35hz).
hands down onyx 9. proper deep rumble at 30hz. it as a big bass peak at 52ish hz and a secondary peak at 34hz. I had onyx 6 for years and recently got onyx 9. both of these are like a subwoofer when you place the right. they even have proper deep bass even at 10% volume.
I have both and honestly they sound pretty similar, mainly just a different in size. The tuning feels almost the same. If you want deep room shaking bass, go for Onyx 6, at the cost of some portability but Onyx 6 isn’t bad to carry around either. The handle is great. I love my Onyx 6 but I end up using the Luna more since it’s smaller and still has surprisingly solid bass for its size. Obviously it can’t match the Onyx 6 in volume or room filling sound, but up close on my desk it sounds great
That BOSE is really good. When I’m not using my Harmon Kardon Onynx 6 I’m use the BOSE
Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 6
+1 for this I use my Onyx 6 with my little desktop DJ setup and it’s more than enough to handle bass and dubstep with out even maxing the volume out. I really want to purchase a second unit to pair up wirelessly with it cause damn 1 is so good, imagine two? You can get even split the audio with them stereo or just run them both mono. Got mines on sale last year for $180 or less if I recall, been more than satisfied with it and highly recommend it!
I bought the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 6 to be my portable speaker, specifically to listen to bass music and have zero regrets. It’s really ergonomic which you come to appreciate, sound can be very loud, bass is very good, nice full sub sounds, battery life is good. Bought it new for around $250. I can’t speak on newer models though.
HK Onyk Studio should be good for you. It has a battery, good bass, fun to watch movies, and captures the sound of the atmosphere completely. When placing it, you don't have to place it next to your macbook. You can place it anywhere. The sound will jump onto the screen itself. Another thing is that listening to music is beautiful too.
It's often reduced to 129$. But I recommend you go listen to it at the store before buying. Don't believe the reviews, our top priority is + ease of use. For me, the best onyx is in this order: onyx 6 > 4 > 8, friend.
