Harmon Kardon Onyx 8 if you're just looking for a single speaker or just two as they can be chained in stereo. It's powered and sounds best when plugged in. But also allows for wireless use if you want to bring it around the room like a regular old bluetooth speaker. This thing slaps, and is way more impressive sound wise then I was expecting. Plus, it has a really good premium feel to the materials it's built out of. I just got one for my sister and she loves it. But if you're looking to add more over time then you probably want something like Bose or Sonos [Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 8 | Portable stereo Bluetooth speaker](https://my.harmankardon.com/ONYX-STUDIO-8-.html)
r/hometheater • Seeking Recommendations for Elegant Wireless Speakers for My Home ->If you're talking the Harmon Kardon Onyx 8 I got it for 50% off, in Canada that was $250cad dollars. The Beosound A9 is over $5000USD but you only need one. Hook up on the Onyx 8 was really easy just hit the bluetooth button and pick it in your phones bluetooth settings. You can run two for stereo or mono play. But that's as many as you can use with this product. If you wanted to add more over time to use within the same app or control system, you'd probably want Sono's IMO.
r/hometheater • Seeking Recommendations for Elegant Wireless Speakers for My Home ->Honestly, I was impressed with it for what I payed. It certainly sounds and plays louder with more bass when plugged in. But even when not plugged in and run without the power cord it sounds great. I've read online people have seen them in the USA for less then $200 when on sale. So, it's certainly affordable. Another suggestion would be the Cambridge Audio Evo One.
r/hometheater • Seeking Recommendations for Elegant Wireless Speakers for My Home ->You'd be sacrificing on volume, but the only thing that is meaningfully smaller with that same deep thumpy bass would be something like Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 7 or 8
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking for a Smaller Alternative to JBL Boombox 2 with Similar Power & Bass ->Yes still very happy with mine. Bought it after testing Marshal, Klipsch, Bose, Audio Pro and HK. For the price its hard to beat. Been 1 yr plus, still sound great. HK Onyx sound the best but too bulky to be carried around.
