Just what I was looking for. I have a vintage Tivoli audio BT that I'm retaining purely for aesthetic purposes. Many years later came the JBL Authentic 300. Was too loud and bold for my taste and had to end up selling that. My current study room speaker is a Stockwell 2, and while the output is nothing to brag about, I absolutely love how it sounds. Have been looking at the Bose Max and Kilburn 3 and can't decide between the two. The Bose is down to $300 as part of the festive deals here in India. Like someone said, too many options is ...
Well said. My boombox wifi does better all around in and out of my house. I keep it plugged in and ima tell you this it sounds amazing in higher volumes it will shake your close neighbors lol. I never heard the brand coz of its price currently but HK is just beautiful but I got the authentics 300 and there quite similar.
Found them to be very directional but great bass
Jbl Authentic 300 is a decent speaker if you are looking for a home speaker mostly, you can carry it around the house but it's around 4.9 kg and comes with. Battery life of around 8 hours.
Right brother after a long research I got the Jbl Authentic 300 and it does a great job across genres, quite versatile but I can only imagine that two would even sound better given the stereo separation be better !
The X600 is also the speaker I would recommend. While I own and enjoy the JBL Authentic 300 and the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3, I am cautious about taking them outside and I have no worries about the X600 outdoors. It's also is an extremely good sounding speaker, although no where near the bass of the other two speakers, it does great considering it's size.
I personally love the JBL Authentic 300.
I just picked up a JBL Authentics 300 for myself and I would say personally, it's the perfect neutral balance for both sound clarity and enough thumping for bass. However, id say HK go+ play 3 is the best choice. Just my input, though. Maybe even "klipsch the three plus"
I’ve been going through the same thought process. I’ve had a SoundLink Max since launch, which does great by itself & paired to my Bose Portable Smart Speaker. I’ve recently tried to find an AirPlay speaker that I can connect to the ecosystem for louder events. I’ve tried the JBL Authentics 300 & Brane X, and ended up returning both. The JBL sounded too…disconnected between treble and bass. The reviews about the treble being harsh were acccurate, and it didn’t sound great in my office. The Brane X had AWESOME deep bass, however there was noticeable kickdrum distortion. Treble was noticeably veiled & would distort as well with certain songs. EQ adjustments did not help. The Brane team said this was normal, so I decided to send it back. I ultimately am very happy with my SoundLink Max for most use cases, especially if you can get it for $300-$350. There’s just not a different option right now that covers what I’m looking for.
Imo, get the jbl authentics 300. It does have a battery, but it's mostly a home friendly wifi speaker.
What i suggested earlier was the best option in my opinion
Try to get the jbl authentics 300. If you can get that one, you will be very pleased.
