It's simple, since you're willing to take any of them to the park, i assume that size and weight doesn't matter too much, so, it all comes down to the sound and price, and in that regard, the partybox is cheaper and way more powerful. The Boombox 3 has more battery life though, but i doubt you'll drain an entire partybox 120 on just a day of playing, and even then, its battery is replaceable, so you can buy another battery and swap it when the first runs out. Another point to note is that bb3 is waterproof and the partybox is not, but i assume no one is playing basketball on a rainy day.
They say that because through wifi, the bb3 is capable of reproducing hi-fi sound, wich is the equivalent of a high definition (HD) video but in audio, it basically has more information, more details in the audio, but for that you would need a compatible streaming service too, like tidal, quobuz or Deezer. I've tried it myself, on headphones and speakers, and the difference, even though it exists, it's negligible, it won't make up for a newer speaker. Also, hi-res is made for hi-res speakers too, so it would almost always only be worth it with a pair of studio speakers.
If you are SERIOUS you that bass and volume that can make you tap out, get 2 Partybox 320's in stereo pair. OMG WOW. If just getting one that's amazing, yet easily portable, get the 520. Get the 720 if you are rarely going to travel with it and it just sits at home. I have the BB3 Wifi, 2 320's, and a 710. Used to have the 110, but that often left me wanting more. I almost exclusively use my 320s for listening to everything. Don't forget about Facebook marketplace. Shhh ;)
I have both, and just listed the bb3 wifi for sale. The boombox 4 is lighter, 3 modes for bass, does not roll of the surface you put it on, goes madly louder, bass is heavier, and I like the sound quality of it. The bbx3 wifi has a very slight better sound quality but every other aspect is won by bbx4. PLUS that the 4 can connect with partyboxes and newer models of jbl
Boombox 3 or Boombox 3 wifi, both have insane clarity and the best sounds separation in any portable speaker
Well said. My boombox wifi does better all around in and out of my house. I keep it plugged in and ima tell you this it sounds amazing in higher volumes it will shake your close neighbors lol. I never heard the brand coz of its price currently but HK is just beautiful but I got the authentics 300 and there quite similar.
Boomox 3 wifi is what I am considering right now. only becuase it has three types of drivers doing their own specific thing.
And I can play my local flac files wirelessly.
after doing some research, I am considering JBL BOombox 3 wifi, only because it has 3 different tyoes of drivers doing their own specific thing they are made for. for the audiophile in you, it's a true three-way speaker. :D
i have considered that, that was my initial go-to as well, but my wife exclaimed what if we want to step outside and you have anything to carry to the beach, so sand protection is also a concern now. I am looking at JBL Boombox 3 wifi as a solid option.
The BB3 Wi-Fi is much better all-around sounding, but the BB4 has more bass and Auracast, which makes it future-proof.
I like the boombox 3 wifi over the HK, because the slight differences are completely worth having the extra weatherproofing and i cant believe how ling ive been missing out on wifi features. Its an amazing speaker!
I listen on lower volumes indoors, but i dont have a lot of space, and sometimes need something loud for outdoors, but i listen to many genres, mostly 40s-60s, 70s r&b/soul/jazz, and the bass is always great for the 90s grooves, but every now and then i get an itch for electronic music, or something random and so far its been a great all-rounder. I chose it over the bb4 because it had a 3-way system instead of their new 2-way, so it has better detail than the bb4, and more bass than the normal bb3, and still with full water and dust rating, which is not normal for a wifi speaker.. I had my neighbour tell me it was too much bass coming through the wall, so i try to keep it quiet, but its a blast outside.
